  • This paper analyzes recording density according to the shape variation of Electric Probe writer, and present a shape design method for improving recording density in perpendicular electric recording device. The gradient of electric field has to be steep to improve recording density because transition region on the media becomes wider when recording. The optimum shape of electrode could be archived by using Response Surface Methodology and 2-Dimensional Finite Element Method.

  • The transition avalanche to streamer are presented in atmospheric pressure nitrogen. The results of two-dimensional simulation are obtained by using finite Elements Method combined with Flux Corrected Transport algorithm(FEM-FCT). We modeled the negative streamer which enables to propagate with out and with photoionization. The results of simulation without photoionization and with photoionization are compared. We show that photoionization plays important roles not only in streamer formation but also in streamer propagation.

  • A novel memory is reported, in which $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ (GST) has been used as a floating gate. The threshold voltage was shifted due to the phase transition of the GST layer, and the hysteretic behavior is opposite to that arising from charge trapping. Finite Element Modeling (FEM) was adapted, and a new simulation program was developed using c-interpreter, in order to analyze the small shift of threshold voltage. The results show that GST undergoes a partial phase transformation during the process of RESET or SET operation. A large $V_{TH}$ shift was observed when the thickness of the GST layer was scaled down from 50 nm to 25 nm. The novel 1 transistor PCM (1TPCM) can achieve a faster write time, maintaining a smaller cell size.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the reset current variation of PRAM device with top electrode using the 3-D finite element analysis tool. As thickness of phase change material thin film decreased, reset current caused by phase transition highly increased. Joule's heat which was generated at the contact surface of phase change material and bottom electrode of PRAM was given off through top electrode to which was transferred phase change material. As thermal conductivity of top electrode decreased, heating temperate was increased.

  • This paper present a new sort of multilayer piezoelectric ceramic transformer for the application to AC-adapters. This piezoelectric transformers operate in the second and third length extensional vibration mode. And the output performance of two types of piezoelectric transformers are compared by ANSYS, which is one of the FEM analysis program. As a result the minimum displacement was occurred at the two points in second length extensional vibration mode and three point in third length extensional vibration mode. One is the middle of input and the other is middle of output parts. And output voltage was inversely decreased by increasing number of output layers. Also The third mode type is shown higher power transition ratio than the second mode type.

  • Longitudinal magnetic recording process of thin film media was simulated by the 2-D finite element method (FEM). To describe precisely the hysteresis behavior of thin film media, scalar Preisach model was used. In this paper, we discussed the formation of bit patterns and importance of modeling of minor loops in high density recording. The effects of the media coercivity and film thickness on the remanent magnetization and transition shape were investigated.

  • Recently, memristor (anion-based memristor) is referred to as the fourth circuit element which resistance state can be gradually changed by the electric pulse signals that have been applied to it. And the stored information in a memristor is non-volatile and also the resistance of a memristor can vary, through intermediate states, between high and low resistance states, by tuning the voltage and current. Therefore the memristor can be applied for analogue memory and/or learning device. Usually, memristive behavior is easily observed in the most transition metal oxide system, and it is explained by electrochemical migration motion of anion with electric field, electron scattering and joule heating. This paper reports the latest trends and issues of anion-based memristor.

  • Hydrogen, the lightest and the most abundant element in the universe becomes a mainstay of contemporary condensed matter physics, which is largely because its metallization is regarded as the holy grail of high-pressure physics and it is also due to recent observations of high Tc superconductivity in hydrogen-dense compounds at extremely high pressure. Contemporary static high-pressure technique is not enough to realize the metallization of solid hydrogen and hydrogen-dense compounds may significantly reduce the required transition pressure providing an excellent proxy study. In this brief review, I will introduce recent achievements of high-pressure study in solid hydrogen and hydrides.

  • This paper shows a theoretical-reflective analysis on the importance of vocational training and value education to transition into models that are inclusive in cultural diversity, typical of the globalized and hyperconnected environment of modern societies. Interculturality is contextualized as a key element in linking teaching-learning processes with the uniqueness and problems associated with cultural ethnocentrism and alterity. In this sense, the work is part of a thematic review that contributes to the understanding, inclusion and recognition of cultural, racial and ethnic diversity in the different formal spaces of learning. As summary, value education and transversality are the basis for building educational interculturality in future generations.
