풍력터빈의 LQR 제어 (LQR control of Wind Turbine)

  • This paper deals with the application of LQ control to the power curve tracking control of wind turbine. However, two more additional tasks are required to apply the LQR theory to wind turbine control. One is the tracking problem instead of regulation, because the wind turbine is controlled as variable speed and variable pitch. The other is LQ integral control., because the rotor speed should be tightly controlled without any steady state error. Starting from the analysis of wind characteristics, design requirement of a wind turbine control system is defined. A design procedure of LQ tracking with integral control is introduced. The performance of LQ tracking system is analyzed and evaluated by numeric simulation.

  • This paper is presents multivariable control scheme for industrial robot manipulators. The control scheme consists of two loops. The modeling error between linearized robot model and actual robot model is compensated in error compensation loop. The PID control loop is designed for pole assignment to stability of robot system and utilized for trajectory tracking. Alternatively computer simulation results are given for illustration purpose of suggested controller.

  • A robust tracking controller design was developed for a rotary motion control system. The friction force versus the angular velocity was measured and modeled as a combination of linear and nonlinear components. By adding a model-based friction compensator to a nominal proportional-integral-derivative controller, it was possible to build a simulated control system model that agreed well with the experimental results. A zero-phase error tracking controller was selected as the feedforward tracking controller and implemented based on the estimated closed-loop transfer function. To provide robustness against external disturbances and modeling uncertainties, a disturbance observer was added in the position feedback loop. The performance improvement of the overall tracking controller structure was verified through simulations and experiments.

FH-FDMA 위성 통신 시스템에서 위성 드리프트 보정 동기추적 알고리즘 (A Synchronization Tracking Algorithm to Compensate the Drift of Satellite in FH-FDMA Satellite Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 도약 위성 통신 시스템에서 정지 궤도 위성의 드리프트로 인해 Early-Late gate 동기 추적 알고리즘으로는 흡 동기를 유지할 수 없는 현상이 발생하는 문제를 해결하기 위한 동기추적 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 위성에 탑재된 역도약-재도약 중계기를 통해 신호가 중계될 때, 위성의 드리프트로 인하여 수신된 홉의 양쪽 에지에서의 에너지 유실 때문에 Early-Late gate 동기추적 알고리즘을 사용했을 경우 홉 동기를 유지할 수 없는 현상이 발생한다. 그러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존의 Ranging 거리 정보를 사용한 Early-Late gate 홉 에너지를 비교하는 구조를 변형하여 Inner-Outer gate 홉 에너지를 비교하고 송신타이밍을 예측하여 동기를 추적하는 Anti-Shrink 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 내부-외부 에너지비율 알고리즘보다 우수하고, Ranging 거리정보를 사용한 Early-Late gate 동기추적 알고리즘보다 성능은 유사하지만 Ranging 정보를 사용하지 않고도 에너지 손실이 적어 위성의 드리프트에 robust하게 동기유지가 가능하다.

Adaptive Bandwidth Algorithm for Optimal Signal Tracking of DGPS Reference Receivers

  • A narrow loop noise bandwidth method is desirable to reduce the error of raw measurements due to the thermal noise. However, it degrades the performance of GPS initial synchronization such as mean acquisition time. And it restricts the loop noise bandwidth to a fixed value determined by the lower bound of the allowable range of carrier-to-noise power ratio, so that it is difficult to optimally track GPS signal. In order to make up for the weak points of the fixed-type narrow loop noise bandwidth method and simultaneously minimize the error of code and carrier measurements, this paper proposes a stepwise-type adaptive bandwidth algorithm for DGPS reference receivers. In this paper, it is shown that the proposed adaptive bandwidth algorithm can provide more accurate measurements than those of the fixed-type narrow loop noise bandwidth method, in view of analyzing the simulation results between two signal tracking algorithms. This paper also carries out sensitivity analysis of the proposed adaptive bandwidth algorithm due to the estimation uncertainty of carrier-to-noise power ratio. Finally the analysis results are verified by the experiment using GPS simulator.

부상관함수 결합에 기반한 Cosine 위상 BOC 코드 추적 기법 (Code Tracking Scheme for Cosine Phased BOC Signals Based on Combination of Sub-correlations)

  • 본 논문에서는 cosine 위상 binary offset carrier (BOC) 신호를 위한 코드 추적 기법을 제안한다. BOC 자기상관함수는 다수의 부상관함수들로 이루어져 있으며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 부상관함수들을 재결합함으로써 주변첨두가 없는 새로운 상관함수를 획득한다. 마지막으로 delay lock loop 에서 사용되는 자기상관함수를 제안한 상관함수로 대체함으로써 주변첨두로 인한 false lock 문제를 해결한다. 또한 모의실험 결과를 통해 제안한 기법이 기존의 기법에 비해 더 좋은 tracking error standard deviation (TESD) 성능을 가지는 것을 보인다.

  • OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 및 SC-CP(Single Carrier with Cyclic Prefix) 방식은 문선 분야에서 각기 각광받고 있으며, 두 방식 모두 주파수 영역에서 효율적인 등화를 수행할 수 있는 장점을 지니고 있다. 무선 채널의 도플러 쉬프트 현상이 수반되는 경우 등화기만으로 온전히 왜곡 보상이 여의치 않을 수 있으며, 이에 따라 위상에러 추적회로와 등화기를 연동시켜 성능 향상을 도모할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 평균위상에러의 효과를 기술하였고, 결정지향 방식의 평균위상 에러 추적회로와 proportional 등화기를 연동한 성능을 설계하였다. 아울러 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 시스템의 성능 저하를 최소화하면서 추적회로의 연산 부담을 줄일 수 있음을 제시하였다.

  • An adaptive maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme employing a variable scaling factor is presented. A MPPT control loop was constructed analytically and the magnitude variation in the MPPT loop gain according to the operating point of the PV array was identified due to the nonlinear characteristics of the PV array output. To make the crossover frequency of the MPPT loop gain consistent, the variable scaling factor was determined using an approximate curve-fitted polynomial equation about linear expression of the error. Therefore, a desirable dynamic response and the stability of the MPPT scheme were maintained across the entire MPPT voltage range. The simulation and experimental results obtained from a 3 KW rated prototype demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT scheme.

압전소자를 이용한 정밀 스테이지의 운동제어 (Motion Control of the Precise Stage using Piezoelectric Actuator)

  • LQG/LTR control scheme is applied to the two axes stage using piezoelectric actuator for tracking reference input and suppressing hysteresis effect in this paper. The plant is combined with an integrator to improve the tracking ability. LQG/LTR controller is designed by making desirable target filter loop remove all poles except for an integrator included in new design plant model and loop transfer recovery. Decoupler in the shape of FIR filter is added to remove the coupling effect between the two axes motion and so feedback control loop is designed independently for the each axis motion.

Improved Delay-Locked Loop in a UWB Impulse Radio Time-Hopping Spread-Spectrum System

  • As ultra-wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) uses short-duration impulse signals of nanoseconds, even a small number of timing errors can cause a detrimental effect on system performance. A delay-locked loop (DLL) is proposed to synchronize and reduce timing errors. The design of the DLL is vital for UWB systems. In this paper, an improved DLL is introduced to a UWB-IR time-hopping spread-spectrum system. Instead of using only two central correlator branches as in a conventional DLL, the proposed system uses two additional correlator branches with different delay parameters and different weight parameters. The performance of the proposed schemes with the optimal parameters is compared with that of traditional schemes through simulation: the proposed four-branch DLLs achieves less tracking jitter or a longer mean time to lose lock (MTLL) than the conventional two-branch DLLs if proper parameters are chosen.
