In this paper, we derive some fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces for self mappings satisfying different contractive type conditions. Some of these theorems generalize some results of Wairojjana et al. (Fixed Point Theory and Applications (2015) 2015:69). Several examples in support of the theorems are also presented here.

In a paper by Hou Jicheng, On some KKM type theorems, Advaces in Mathematics 36 (2007), no. 1, 86-88, the author claimed that some previous KKM type theorems are false by giving a counterexample. In the present paper, we show that the counterexample does not work and, consequently, the results are correct. Moreover, we claim that the artificial concept like transfer compactly closed-valued maps can be destroyed. Finally, we introduce a theorem generalizing the main target of Hou.

Using recent L² extension theorems, we give an analytic proof under some conditions of Zariski's theorem on zero-dimensional base loci. This motivates further discussions on the crucial curvature conditions in L² extension theorems.

In this paper two theorems on generalised Meijer transform due to Banerjee [1, p. 433] defined by $${\varphi}_1(p)=\int\limits_{0}^{\infty}(2px)^{m-{\frac{1}{2}}_e-{\frac{1}{2}}pxn}{\varphi}({{\alpha},c;\;2px)f(x)dx$$, have been proved. Some interesting integrals involving hyper-geometric functions are evaluated by the application of theorems.

In this paper, sufficient optimality conditions and duality results for nonsmooth vector optimization problems are given under near invexity and infineness assumptions. Also, weak vector saddle-point theorems are obtained under near invexity-infineness assumptions.

In this paper, we consider a fractional robust optimization problem (FP) and give necessary optimality theorems for (FP). Establishing a nonfractional optimization problem (NFP) equivalent to (FP), we formulate a Mond-Weir type dual problem for (FP) and prove duality theorems for (FP).

The purpose of the present paper is to investigate some subordination and superordination preserving properties of certain integral operators de ned on the space of meromorphic functions in the puncture open unit disk. The sandwich-type theorems for these integral operators are also presented.
