개별화된 교육이 허혈성 뇌졸중 환자의 불안과 자가간호수행에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Individualized Education on Stroke Patients' Post-discharge Anxiety and Self-care Compliance)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of individualized education on stroke patients' post-discharge anxiety and self-care compliance. Methods: It was a pretest-posttest design with non-equivalent groups. A total of 32 hospitalized stroke patients in experimental group were given individualized education three times at one day before, the day of and one week after discharge. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and $x^2$-test. Results: The scores of anxiety at posttest were $45.66{\pm}9.58$ in control group and $35.44{\pm}8.21$ in the experimental group. Self-compliance scores were $44.00{\pm}7.99$ in control and $61.06{\pm}7.69$ in the experimental group. These indicate that anxiety score is significantly lower (t=-4.58, p<.001), and self-compliance score is significantly higher (t=8.70, p<.001) in experimental group. Conclusion: If stroke patients receive a relevant individualized education, it could help reduce their anxiety. Also it would be useful to maintain and improve their self-care compliance after discharge.

여대생 자녀의 유방암 교육이 어머니들의 유방암조기검진 증진에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Daughter's Breast Health Education on Mother's Breast Cancer Screening Attitude)

  • Purpose: This study was to explore the effects of breast cancer education for college students on their mother's breast cancer screening promotion. Methods: This study used a one-group pretest and posttest design. Data were collected from September to November, 2007 from a sample of 80 college students and their mothers using a survey questionnaire, which asked about demographic variables, concerns over health and breast cancer, communication, stage of change and attitude (pros and cons) related to breast cancer, and confidence in breast self-examination. The college students received education about breast cancer for 50 minutes and then they educated their mothers about breast cancer. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and paired t-test. Results: The mean age of the college students was 22.0 years, and that of their mothers 49.4 years with a range from 43 to 58 years. After receiving education on breast cancer, there were significant changes in the mean scores of concerns about health and breast cancer, communication, pros in mammography, and confidence in practicing breast self-examination. Conclusion: This study indicates that education on breast cancer to mothers through their college-age daughters is effective and can be utilized to promote breast cancer screening for women.

초.중.고 특수교육자녀를 돌보는 어머니의 스트레스, 우울 및 수면 (The Subjective Stress, Depression, and Sleeping of Mothers with Children in Special Education of Elementary School, Middle and High School)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify stress, depression and sleeping of mothers with children who have received the special education in the elementary, middle and high school and to find out the relationship among stress, depression and sleeping. It will be provided as the basic information for development of nursing intervention. Methods: This research was carried out from November 18th to November 27th, 2009 through questionnaire about the stress, the depression and the sleeping. The subjects of investigation were 94 mothers with children who have received the special education in elementary school, middle and high school. Results: There is correlation between the psychological and physical stress of the mothers; correlation between the stress and the depression; inverse correlation between the stress and the sleeping; and inverse correlation between the depression and the sleeping significantly in statistics (p<.001). Mother group in elementary school has mild depression and the other variables in all groups of mothers are included in normal range. Conclusion: It is necessary to do the comparative study for stress, depression and sleeping of mothers with children who have received the special education in elementary school, middle and high school and to make the research for the development of optimized nursing intervention program for reducing depression for the subjects.

옥내소화전의 사용실태 및 현황에 관한 연구 (A Survey Study on the Usage and Situation of Indoor Fire Hydrants)

  • 본 논문은 소방안전교육의 효과적인 설계, 진행, 그리고 개선을 위한 기초자료(옥내소화전의 설치현황 인지, 교육경험, 그리고 사용방법의 이해)를 조사하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 전국의 성인남녀 198명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하였고, 조사된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 win 프로그램을 활용하여 통계처리하였다. 설문 분석결과, 연구대상자의 87.9%는 옥내소화전이 설치되어 있는 환경에서 생활하고 있지만, 그 중 17.7%는 옥내소화전이 어디에 설치되어 있는지 알지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 연구대상자의 63.6%가 소방안전교육을 받아본 것으로 나타났고, 그 중 31%는 옥내 소화전에 대한 내용이 포함되지 않은 교육을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 옥내소화전의 교육 형태는 50%가 강의중심인 것으로 나타났으며, 옥내소화전의 사용방법의 이해는 평균 3.15/5.00로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 전국의 성인남녀를 대상으로 하는 소방안전교육의 학습자 진단 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

의치관리 실습프로그램이 노인의 의치자가관리, 만족도 및 구강건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Denture Care Skills Education Program on Denture Self-care, Denture Satisfaction and Oral Health-related Quality of Life (OHIP-14) among the Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of denture care skills education program on denture self-care, denture satisfaction and subjective oral status among the elderly. Methods: The research design for this study was a non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental design. Total 61 elderly who visited a seniors center, Seoul, Korea, participated in this study. Participants were 31 elderly for the experimental group and 30 elderly for the control group. The experimental group received a lesson in denture care skills education program which was developed by the researchers. Using a structural questionnaire, the elderly's perception about denture self-care, denture satisfaction and subjective oral status were measured before and after the intervention. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, chi-square test, and ANCOVA test were performed using SPSS WIN 21.0. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher scores in denture satisfaction(p<.001), QOL of oral health(<.001), concern for oral health(p=.005), subjective oral health status(p<.001), bad breath(p=.010), oral dryness(p<.001) and number of denture clearing(p<.001). Conclusion: The results suggest that the denture care skills education program for elderly at a senior center was effective. Further work is required to develop more effective denture care skills education programs and an oral health promotion program to improve the health status of the elderly.

응급실 간호사의 업무분석을 통한 경력등급별 실무교육안 개발 (Development of an In-service Education Program for Emergency Room Nurses According to Their Career Ladders)

  • Purpose: This study was done to provide basic data for developing an in-service education program to improve nurses' quality. First, frequency of nursing activities and competency levels of emergency nurses according to their career ladders were compared through job analysis and then practical education programs were presented on based of the results. Method: Data were collected from 335 nurses working in emergency rooms in 31 tertiary hospitals. Data collection was done from September to November 2005 using the job analysis questionnaire. Results: There were 41 nursing activities that showed differences in frequency and 78 activities that showed differences in perceived competency level. Irrespective of emergency nurses' careers, activities that show high frequency but low competency were sputum liquefying therapy, assessment of cranial nerve function, identification of diagnostic radiology, and communication with various departments. In-service education content according to nurse's career ladders was presented by adding high frequency nursing activities and activities with low competency level even though having high frequency. Conclusion: There is a need to develop and provide in-service education programs, which consider nurses' difference in frequency and competency level for their career ladders.

예비 수학교사의 통계와 확률론에서의 몇 가지 오개념 (A Study on Pre-service Mathematics Teachers' some Misconceptions in the Statistics and Probability)

  • 본 연구는 예비 수학교사들이 학교수학에서 확률과 통계 교수를 위해 어떠한 준비를 해야 하는지를 알아보고 교사교육 개선에 도움을 주고자 함이다. 이를 위해 예비 교사를 대상으로 확률과 통계학 교육과정의 설문과 평가를 실시하고 이들 간의 회귀분석과 상관관계를 조사하였다. 조사를 통해 난이도에 비해 평가 결과가 낮게 나타난 문항을 추출하고 이를 토대로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 확률과 통계에 대한 중등 학교수학과 대학수학의 내용체계를 연계하여 예비 수학교사들을 지도할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 예비 수학교사들의 확률과 통계 교과목 이해 정도의 정확한 진단이 필요하다. 셋째, 예비 수학교사들이 가진 오개념과 그 원인의 다양함을 알게 되었다. 그리고 이와 관련된 지속적인 후속 연구가 필요하다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

보건계열 신입생들의 분노조절정도에 따른 대인관계와 삶의 목적 (Health Allied College Students' Interpersonal Relationships and Purpose-in-Life depending on their Ability to Manage Anger)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference and correlation of interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life in health allied college students depending on their ability to manage anger. Method: A total of 244 students were surveyed using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient with the SPSS program. Results: No significant difference of interpersonal relationship was observed between the anger controlled group and the anger uncontrolled group. Intimacy (p=.008) and understanding (p=.017) were significantly higher and openness was significantly lower in the anger controlled group (p=.024). Purpose-in-life was significantly higher in the anger controlled group (p<.001). There was no significant correlation of anger management and interpersonal relationship, however, there was significant positive correlation of anger management and purpose-in-life (r=0.15, p=.017) and interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life (r=0.29, p<.001). Conclusion: An education program for freshmen who cannot control anger can promote interpersonal relationship and purpose-in-life.

응급구조사의 업무 특성에 따른 보수교육 만족도 및 교육요구도 (Satisfaction of continuing education and need assessment according to job characteristics in emergency medical technicians)

  • Purpose: To assess the satisfaction of continuing education and need assessment according to job characteristics in emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 222 EMTs from May 28 to July 6, 2018. It consisted of questions on the method and need of continuing education, and satisfaction regarding education time, assessed using a 5-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, a chi-square test, and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Results: The responses to questions on the method of continuing education (${\rho}=.000$), satisfaction of regarding the duration of continuing education (${\rho}=.029$), method (${\rho}$< .001), and topic (${\rho}=.000$) varied according to the differences in job characteristics of EMTs. Assessment and management of patients with multiple trauma ($4.17{\pm}.735$) emerged as the most important while license examination protocol for EMTs ($3.33{\pm}.968$) was rated the least important among topics for continuing education. Separation of continuing education (${\rho}$< .001), education method (${\rho}$< .001), education topic (${\rho}$< .001), and necessity of quality management of continuing education (${\rho}$< .001) differed according to the job characteristics of EMTs. Conclusion: It is important to provide a suitable program catering to the diverse requirements of EMTs. The education programs must be tailored to the needs of level 1 and level 2 EMTs separately. To improve the quality of education, it is necessary to evaluate the continuing effects.
