  • The purpose of this study is to know experiences and process of patients' healing relation with nurses. This study had been conducted from July to September in 1994. The subjects were 7 patients who had hospitalized within 10 days at general surgery unit in C university hospital. The data were collected through in-depth interview and observation on the basis of Grounded Theory. In-depth interview were performed 3-6 times for each patient and taken 10-15 minutes at once. The result were as follows : (1) The main concepts are worry to operation, worry to hospital environment, worry to their children, worry to nurses, general appraisal, appraisal of appearance, appraisal of attitude, appraisal of nurses' response, appraisal of nurses' help, interest to patients, appraisal of explanation, appraisal of direct nursing, appraisal of nursing role, appraisal of nursing fairness, empathy, feeling of jung, discontent exposure, content, rapport. (Jung is a unique feeling that appeared in only korean culture) (2) The main categories are worry, general appraisal, concrete appraisal, empathy, and rapport. (3) These process is worry, appraisal, empathy, and rapport in the order. (4) The core category is the need of relation formation. The hospitalized patients have had need of relation formation with nurses. In order to satisfy this need, patients in the early of hospitalization had the worries to nurses, hospital environment, their children and themselves. The more patients have information about themselves, the more they have worries. In addition to, patients have general appraisal through the first impression or feeling to nurses. A time goes by, general appraisal has changed concrete appraisal. High educated group (above bachelor degree) have expressed concretely and variousely their needs. The patients who have empathy to nurses are content with nurses and form rapport to be shown frankly thier discontents. Therefore, patients' healing relation formation is the process of being filled up the need of relation formaton with Nurses. As mentioned above, researcher suggests that nurses need study nursing strategies to make earlier the last phase of the healing relation formation, rapport.

  • Purpose: We intended to observe relation between general symptom and the number of uterine myoma. Methods: We surveyed 948 women from 35 to 45 years old who had received Korean oriental medical questionnaires about general symptom pattern and pelvic ultrasonography at Kyung-Hee university medical center from May, 2007 to October, 2008. After we divided women into three groups (Mono-uterine myoma, Bi-uterine myoma & uterine myoma above 3) by ultrasonography result, we compared general symptom pattern according to the number of uterine myoma. For statistics, we used Kruskal-Wallis Test, SPSS 13.0 for windows. Results: In relation to sleep pattern, severity of dreaming & awaking showed statistical significance according to the number of uterine myoma. In relation to digestion pattern, appetite & heartburn showed statistical significance according to the number of uterine myoma. In relation to evacuation pattern, hardening of stool showed statistical significance according to the number of uterine myoma. In relation to sweating pattern, severity of refreshing after sweating showed statistical significance according to the number of uterine myoma. In relation to the other patterns, hypertonicity of nape neck showed statistical significance according to the number of uterine myoma(p<0.05). Conclusion: The result showed that prevalence of uterine myoma had to be considered in respect of sleep, digestion, evacuation and sweating pattern. we need further study based on this preliminary result.

  • Using the "belongs to" relation and "quasi-coincident with" relation between a fuzzy point and a fuzzy subgroup, Bhakat and Das, in 1992 and 1996, initiated general types of fuzzy subgroups which are a generalization of Rosenfeld's fuzzy subgroups. In this paper, more general notions of "belongs to" and "quasi-coincident with" relation between a fuzzy point and a fuzzy set are provided, and more general formulations of general types of fuzzy (normal) subgroups by Bhakat and Das are discussed. Furthermore, general type of coset is introduced, and related fundamental properties are investigated.

  • Using a simple recurrence relation, we give a new method to compute the Jones polynomials of closed braids: we find a general expansion formula and a rational generating function for the Jones polynomials. The method is used to estimate the degree of the Jones polynomials for some families of braids and to obtain general qualitative results.

  • Two kinds of important issues on Titius-Bode's relation have been discussed up to now: one is if there is a simple mathematical relation between distances of natural bodies orbiting a central body, and the other is if there is any physical basis for such a relation. These may be tackled by answering a question whether Titius-Bode's relation is valid universally in exo-planetary systems. We have examined whether Titius Bode's relation is also applicable to exo-planetary systems by statistically studying the distribution of the ratio of rotational periods of two planets in an exo-planetary system, 55 Cnc, by comparing it with that derived from Titius-Bode's relation. We find that the distribution of the ratio of rotational periods of randomly chosen two planets in the 55 Cnc system is apparently inconsistent with that derived from Titius-Bode's relation. The probability that two data sets are drawn from the same distribution function is 50%. We also find that the Fourier power spectra show that the distribution of the semi-major axis of planets in the 55 Cnc system seems to be stretched. We conclude by pointing out that large numbers of planets should be examined to more convincingly explain the distribution of the distance of planetary formation regions.

  • Objectives: We intended to identify differences of general symptoms related to existence & nonexistence of uterine myoma. Methods: We surveyed 948 women from 35 to 45 years old who had received Korean oriental medical questionnaires about general symptom patterns and abdominal & pelvic ultrasonography at Kyung-Hee University medical center from May 2007 to October 2008. After we divided the women into two (uterine myoma or normal) groups by ultrasonography result, we compared general symptom patterns of the uterine myoma group with those of the normal group. Results: In relation to digestion pattern, appetite showed statistically significant difference between the normal and uterine myoma groups. In relation to evacuation pattern, stool frequency showed statistically significant difference between the normal and uterine myoma groups. In relation to psychologic pattern, difference in oppression in the chest & palpitation showed statistical significance between the groups. In relation to the other patterns, differences in throat discomfort & hypertonicity of nape neck showed statistical significance between the normal and uterine myoma groups (p<0.05). Conclusions: The result showed that prevalence of uterine myoma should be considered in respect to digestion pattern, evacuation pattern, and psychologic pattern. We need further study after increasing the size of the uterine myoma group and improvement of general symptom questionnaires.

  • In this Paper, we analyzed the relative importance of multiple sources and their effects on innovative activities. Through factor analysis, we found 5 sources of innovative activities; university/laboratory source, within firm source, general information source, vertical/competitive relation source, and horizontal relation source. Through regression analysis, we found that (1) 'within firm source' is the most important source on innovative activities, (2) from inputs' point of view, the more 'vertical/competitive relation source' is, the less innovative activities we, (3) from outputs' point of view, innovations are more activated when 'university/laboratory source' is abundant. but, they are less activated when 'general information source' and 'vertical/competitive relation source' is abundant, and (4) according to firm size and innovation stages(newproduct innovation, upgraded product innovation, and process innovation), the effect of sources on innovative activities is different.

Method: For this purpose, this study sampled 981 hospital employees working for E hospital opened on Apr. 1, 2019 in Seoul. A total of 981 questionnaires were distributed to them, and 888 ones responded to the survey, which had been conducted from Oct. 17, through Oct. 25, 2019. 793 responses were used for the final analysis. The data collected were processed using the SPSS 19.0K for descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Findings: First, The type of organizational culture perceived most by hospital employees was 'hierarchy-oriented' (3.53) followed by 'relation-oriented'(3.33), 'task-oriented'(3.23), 'innovation-oriented'(3.19) and job satisfaction scored 3.13, organizational commitment scored 3.28 on their order. Second, 'Relation-oriented', 'task-oriented' and 'innovation-oriented' was positively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. hierarchy-oriented' was negatively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, Factors that significantly influencing on organizational effectiveness in a newly established general hospital were as follows. Factors influencing job satisfaction included 'innovation-oriented', 'relation-oriented' and factors influencing organizational commitment included 'relation-oriented', 'innovation-oriented' and age. Practical Implications: In order to increase the organizational effectiveness of the E-General Hospital, it is necessary to gradually move from a hierarchica l-oriented culture to an innovation-oriented and relationship-oriented culture. Since age also affects organizational commitment, it is necessary to promote stability and growth by promoting the mentor-menti system for new members with a low level of experience and experience.
