초등학생들의 열과 온도에 대한 대안개념 조사 (Investigating Elementary Students에 Alternative Conceptions of Heat and Temperature)

  • In this study, the contents of elementary school science textbooks related to 'heat and temperature' are analyzed and alternative conceptions ofi"heat and temperature" among students enrolled in grades 4, 5 and 6 are investigated. 259 students were selected from a elementary school located in urban area. The relationships between students' alternative conceptions and the content of elementary science textbooks are also examined. Students' conceptions are analyzed from their answers to a paper-and-pencil test. The typical alternative conception of "heat and temperature" held by students was follows. They think that "heat" is a material and "temperature" is value of heat amount. They can't distinguish between "heat" and "temperature". Their explanation of "heat and temperature" is focused on hot or cool sensation and other observable characteristics of a material. A textbook analysis indicated that contents on "heat and temperature" were organized without the viewpoint of particle motion theory. This may be one of the causes of students' alternative conceptions.

  • 본 연구는 통계적 문제해결 과정의 관점에서, 우리나라 초등 수학교과서의 통계 영역 지도 방식을 분석하였다. 그 결과 통계적 문제 해결의 4단계 중에서 자료 분석단계에 대한 집중도가 심한 것으로 드러났고, 문제 설정과 자료 수집, 결과 해석단계의 비중이 매우 저조한 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 토대로 초등 수학교과서의 통계 영역 교과서 개발과 관련된 시사점을 논의하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop vocational English textbooks for vocational high school, especially marine production high school. Vocational English is intended to increase English proficiency in the area of specific industry or jobs. Based on the review of the literature, the study established developed vocational English textbooks for marine production high school based on the modular system. The developing process includes analysis for marine production job, marine production high school and current English textbook for marine production. Based on the analysis, this study developed English contents which marine production students utilize in not only school but also workplace. Also, this study suggests future research directions for effective development and use of the textbooks in the vocational high schools.

  • 본 논문에서는 초등학교 교과서 말뭉치를 구축하고, 초등교과서에서 나타나는 어휘들에 대하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 또한 초등 교과서가 일반생활에서 사용하는 어휘와 얼마나 유사한지를 살펴보기 위하여 스피어만 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과로 초등교과서의 말뭉치 구축 모습과 실제 예시를 보였고, 상관관계 분석을 통하여 초등교과서와 일반 말뭉치와의 상관관계를 수치적으로 보였다.

  • This paper is to find and to suggest alternative ways of description on function chapters in the middle school mathematics so that the descriptions be more closely related to daily life. The research has two phases: one for belief on the usefulness, the other for cognitive ability to solve the practical problems. Results are as following. 1. Most descriptions of corresponding chapters have emphases on the usefulness of functions so as to enhance beliefs on the use of functions. 2. Most practical functions contain expressions of large constant term and large coefficients in magnitude while those are not in the descriptions of tektbooks, especially in case of using ruled papers. 3. For quadratic functions, most students do not detect the degree of the function from the data presented by pairs of values of x and y. And those are not dealt with in most of textbooks, which are given in the MIC textbook.

2007년 개정 수학과 교육과정에 따른 선택과목 교과서의 수학교사 체감난이도 분석 (The analysis of sensed difficulty on the selective tracks textbooks based on 2007 revised mathematics curriculum)

  • The goal of the textbooks of 2009 revised curriculum is to make customized lectures possible considering learning characteristics and understanding level of students. However, it is not easy to find a research result on sensed difficulty of the mathematics textbook, which is able to provide valuable information on the development of the diverse level textbooks. This research suggested criteria in analysing sensed difficulties of field teachers on the textbooks, and analysed sensory difficulty on the selective tracks textbooks based on 2007 revised mathematics curriculum using the criteria. The results of the analysis on 59 mathematics selective tracks textbooks show that all have average sensed difficulty. The criteria and research results are expected to provide valuable information in future mathematics textbook development.

  • This paper is a follow up study of [2]. In this paper we analyse the contents of middle school mathematics textbooks published in the 1st National Curriculum Period centered on the concept 'straight line' and discuss how they are different from contemporary mathematics textbooks in view of connectedness of contents, mathematical terms, textbook as a learning material vs. teaching material, relationship between contents of national curriculum and textbooks, and some topics related to direct proportion, function, method of equivalence as a method for solving simultaneous linear equations and so on. The results of our analysis and discussion suggest implications for reforming mathematics curriculum and developing mathematics textbooks.

  • 수학적인 사고에는 여러가지 유형이 있는데 그 중에서 가장 기본이 되는 사고유형이 분석과 종합이다. 이러한 사고유형을 담고 있는 분석과 종합문제는 수학문제의 가장 중요한 근간이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 분석과 종합문제에 대한 체계적인 분석과 구체적인 논의를 위해 러시아의 구세프 교수가 편찬한 수학교과서를 중심으로 이러한 두 가지 유형의 문제에 대한 분석을 실시한다. 또한, 역사적으로 제시되어진 분석과 종합에 대한 다양한 문헌연구를 통해 두 가지 사고유형의 분류에 대한 기본적인 기준을 설정하고, 이를 바탕으로 분석문제와 종합문제에 대한 구체적인 분류기준을 제시하고자 한다.

도시경관분석을 위한 경관형용사 목록 작성 (A Study on the Landscape Adjectives for Urban Landscape Analysis)

  • The purpose of this study is to categorize a landscape adjective list for urban landscape analysis. For this purpose, four methods are used. The first method is to survey the foreign landscape adjective lists such as Feimer's EACL & LACL, VRM suggested vocabulary, and IEA and LI's aesthetic factors, which are commonly used in domestic research. The second method is to analyze vocabulary in Korean linguistic textbook the third is to investigate Korean adjective lists from 36 domestic research. The last is to survey adjectives used to express the urban landscapes. 24 landscapes from BunDdang, GwaCheon, YakSoo and ApGuJeong were presented to 40 subjects, whose responses were collected and categorized. The frequency analysis of the adjectives and landscape factors were processed by SJTOOL, which was programmed for Korean vocabulary analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: Foreign adjective lists were mainly focused on the physical features of landscapes and they also had linguistic problems caused by the translations. Therefore, it is undesirable to use the foreign adjective list directly to analyze Korean urban landscapes. The vocabulary from the linguistic textbook has more variety, but it includes many adjectives irrelevant to the urban landscape. More types of adjectives were used in the researches(890 adjectives/295 types), compared with the result of response survey(1,406 adjectives/270 types). Because some adjectives were partly confusing, it is desirable to categorize the adjectives. The categorized adjectives could therefore be more useful and practical for urban landscape analysis.

  • This study analyzed research trends in the field of Practical Arts (Technology & Home Economics) education. From 958 articles published between 2010 and 2018 in the Journal of Korean Practical Arts Education (JKPAE), Journal of Korean Home Economics Education Association (JHEEA), and Korean Journal of Technology Education Association (KJTEA), 958 keywords were extracted and analyzed using NetMiner 4. When the general network structure was analyzed, keywords such as practical arts education, curriculum, textbook, home economics education, and students were high in the degree centrality and closeness centrality, and textbook, practical arts education, curriculum, student, home economics education, and invention were high in the node betweenness centrality. The cluster analysis showed that a four-cluster solution was most appropriate: cluster 1, technology and experiential learning activities; cluster 2, curriculum studies and practical problem; cluster 3, relationships; and cluster 4, creativity and character education. The three journals showed differences in the knowledge network structure: The topics of JKPAE and JKHEEA focused on general content knowledge and curriculum, while the topics of KJTEA were spread across invention and creativity education, and curriculum studies.
