The paper will outline how hazard identification and risk evaluation can effectively be performed to obtain Tolerable Hazard Rates (THR). As a target group manufacturers are addressed, who face the situation, that for a generic application THRs are needed for compliance with EN 50129 [1]. Focusing on functional hazards this paper shows a possible hazard log and the relevant analysis methods. The terms safety barrier and barrier function will be introduced and used instead of the term "safety function". As functional hazards and barrier functions depend on each other, emphasis will be put on a comprehensive and detailed definition of barrier functions and the usage of function lists. By using detailed and complete hazard and barrier function definitions THRs can be obtained while at the same time the approach becomes clear how the hazard rates (HR) will be established.

System modeling from input-output data is generally carried out in two steps. The first step is to determine the form of the model. In the second step, the parameters of the model in an appropriate form are estimated from input-output data. This paper presents a method, via single term Walsh functions, for simultaneous estimation of the order and the parameters of linear systems from input-output data. The estimation of the model order is based on minimizing an error function, which is defined by Desai and Fairman. Unknown system parameters are recursively estimated by the least square method.

Let $m,n{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$. We represent the additive subgroups of the ring ${\mathbb{Z}}_m{\times}{\mathbb{Z}}_n$, which are also (unital) subrings, and deduce explicit formulas for $N^{(s)}(m,n)$ and $N^{(us)}(m,n)$, denoting the number of subrings of the ring ${\mathbb{Z}}_m{\times}{\mathbb{Z}}_n$ and its unital subrings, respectively. We show that the functions $(m,n){\mapsto}N^{u,s}(m,n)$ and $(m,n){\mapsto}N^{(us)}(m,n)$ are multiplicative, viewed as functions of two variables, and their Dirichlet series can be expressed in terms of the Riemann zeta function. We also establish an asymptotic formula for the sum $\sum_{m,n{\leq}x}N^{(s)}(m,n)$, the error term of which is closely related to the Dirichlet divisor problem.

With the advent of PyScript, there are more and more topics in practice. However, the official guideline has not provided a detailed description. This paper investigates the practical application about PyScript. The research results show that the current functions in PyScript cannot be well handled in web pages, and even cannot use the advantage model of Python, which is not suitable for practical application in the short term. However, it may be widely used in web development in the future since writing functions through Wasm can improve the efficiency of program execution.

Let G be a finite group, K a split field for G, and L a linear map from K[G] to K. In our paper, we first give sufficient and necessary conditions for Ker L and Ker L ∩ Z(K[G]), respectively, to be Mathieu-Zhao spaces for some linear maps L. Then we give equivalent conditions for Ker L to be Mathieu-Zhao spaces of K[G] in term of the degrees of irreducible representations of G over K if G is a finite Abelian group or G has a normal Sylow p-subgroup H and L are class functions of G/H. In particular, we classify all Mathieu-Zhao spaces of the finite Abelian group algebras if K is a split field for G.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effects of visiting nursing services in long-term care (LTC) insurance on changes in health status and physical functions among the elderly. Methods: We analyzed survey data on the living status and welfare needs of the elderly from 2008 and 2011 using the difference-in-difference method with propensity score matching. Results: The subjects were 76 elders including 38 visiting nursing service users(intervention group) and 38 home-based LTC service users (control group). Results from DID analysis confirmed that the subjective health status level of the intervention group was 2.2 points higher (p=.044) and the depression level was 0.3 point lower (p=.039) than the control group. In addition, the intervention group's ADL score was 1.9 (p=.027) and IADL 3.9 (p=.030), showing that their health was deteriorated less. Conclusion: Visiting nursing service in LTC insurance was associated with delayed deterioration of subjective health status, depression, ADL and IADL. These findings suggest the need of rebuilding visiting nursing service programs focusing on prevention services, which will be more contributive to elderly health care and the reduction of social costs.

Applying evolved IT technology to increase the satisfaction of the consumer is a typical feature of the rapidly transformed service industry. Smart devices have taken a place as the mainstream of major media, moreover, IT service strategies utilizing smart devices have been constantly developed. Location recognition method of users has been proposed as one of the significant features to the IT service industry. The long-term care home services can be one example of user location recognition methods that real time computerization of service record utilize an attached tag to home of pensioners with RFID reader or an NFC function of mobile when a home carer provides service. And, the Homecare Electronics Management System (HEMS) and the various location recognition methods will be discussed to improve effectiveness of services. In this paper, we propose a home applicable electronic management system which insurer, home care service facilities, home cares, pensioners and guardians which enables to simultaneously check service records based on the improved system by use of iBeacon.

Although Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) adopted three terms as input gives better performance. FLC is in general composed of two-term control because of the difficulty in the construction of fuzzy rule base. In this paper, a three-term FLC which is similar to PID control but acts as a nonlinear controller is proposed. To reduce the complexity of the rule base design and increase efficiency, a simplified fuzzy PID control is induced from a hybrid velocity/position type PID algorithm by sharing a common rule base for both fuzzy Pi and fuzzy PD parts. It is simple in structure, easy in implementation, and fast in calculation. The phase plane technique is applied to obtain the rule base for fuzzy two-term control and them. The resultant rule base is Macvicar-Whelan type. The frequency response information is used in tuning of membership functions. Also a tuning strategy for the scaling factors is Proposed based on the relationship between PID gain and them. Simulation results show better performance and the effectiveness of the proposed method.

To identify characteristics of elderly inpatients who had long term hospitalization in a general hospital, this study categorized into two groups who were hospitalized for less than 30 days and a group hospitalized for more than 30 days. To compare the groups the independent variables were the sociodemographical characteristics, the medical care utility characteristics, and the disease characteristics and finally analyzed factors affecting the hospitalization period. The data of 18,727 inpatients who were older than 65 years of age by the year 2005 were used and the data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows 12.0. With the results, it is necessary to provide intensive and positive management to elderly inpatients who belong to the more than 30 days group and also necessary to share roles and functions of hospital by medical network with local hospitals and clinics in order to manage long-term elderly inpatients and offer continuous post-management to discharged patients by encouraging them to use a long-term care center or by implementing an early discharge program. This study should provide many studies on how to manage the period of hospitalization efficiently on long-stay elderly inpatients in the future.

Objectives: The current study aims to examine whether the influence of National Long-term Care Insurance(NLCI) on the quality of life(QoL) trajectory of older adults with disabilities is more positive than its influence on those without disabilities. Methods: Sample consisted of 5,362 elderly aged 65 and over who participated in the Korean Welfare Panel Study from Wave1 to Wave7. Data were analyzed using latent growth curve modeling. Results: Major findings are as follows. (1) Before the NLCI, the trajectories of QoL between older adults with disabilities and those without were same. (2) After the NLCI, elders with disabilities showed lower levels of QoL at the beginning, but the gaps gradually decreased with time. These results indicate that the implementation of NLCI more positively affected elders with disabilities than those without disabilities. Conclusions: These results suggest that the NLCI functions properly as one of social security nets to cope with the needs of older adults with disabilities. In conclusion, it is critical to develop a sustainable NLCI system to enhance the QoL of older adults with disabilities.
