Identification of potential technology convergence opportunities is crucial to drive innovation and growth in modern enterprises. In this study, we proposed a framework to explore technological convergence opportunities based on CPC code sequences from patents by utilizing the BERT model. We relied on the BERT architecture to train a new model using about 1.3 million patents registered at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and achieved an accuracy of approximately 73% based on HitRate@10 metric. A case study using patents related to wearable technologies was conducted to demonstrate practicability and effectiveness of the proposed framework. The key contributions of this research include: (1) enabling in-depth analysis that takes into account the complex interactions between CPC codes and contextual variability; (2) enabling the exploration of diverse technology convergence scenarios beyond simple sequential patterns. This study is one of the first studies to apply the BERT model for exploring technology convergence opportunities, and is expected to contribute to the establishment of technology innovation and R&D strategies by providing a more accurate and practical tool for enhancing the speed and efficiency of technology opportunity-related decision-making processes.
With an advent of recent knowledge-based society, the interest in intellectual property has increased. Firms have tired to result in productive outcomes through continuous innovative activity. Especially, ICT firms which lead high-tech industry have tried to manage intellectual property more systematically. Firm's interest in the patent has increased in order to manage the innovative activity and Knowledge property. The patent involves not only simple information but also important values as information of technology, management and right. Moreover, as the patent has the detailed contents regarding technology development activity, it is regarded as valuable data. The patent which reflects technology spread and research outcomes and business performances are closely interrelated as the patent is considered as a significant the level of firm's innovation. As the patent information which represents companies' intellectual capital is accumulated continuously, it has become possible to do quantitative analysis. The advantages of patent in the related industry information and it's standardize information can be easily obtained. Through the patent, the flow of knowledge can be determined. The patent information can analyze in various levels from patent to nation. The patent information is used to analyze technical status and the effects on performance. The patent which has a high frequency of citation refers to having high technological values. Analyzing the patent information contains both citation index analysis using the number of citation and network analysis using citation relationship. Network analysis can provide the information on the flows of knowledge and technological changes, and it can show future research direction. Studies using the patent citation analysis vary academically and practically. For the citation index research, studies to analyze influential big patent has been conducted, and for the network analysis research, studies to find out the flows of technology in a certain industry has been conducted. Social network analysis is applied not only in the sociology, but also in a field of management consulting and company's knowledge management. Research of how the company's network position has an impact on business performances has been conducted from various aspects in a field of network analysis. Social network analysis can be based on the visual forms. Network indicators are available through the quantitative analysis. Social network analysis is used when analyzing outcomes in terms of the position of network. Social network analysis focuses largely on centrality and structural holes. Centrality indicates that actors having central positions among other actors have an advantage to exert stronger influence for exchange relationship. Degree centrality, betweenness centrality and closeness centrality are used for centrality analysis. Structural holes refer to an empty place in social structure and are defined as efficiency and constraints. This study stresses and analyzes firms' network in terms of the patent and how network characteristics have an influence on business performances. For the purpose of doing this, seventy-four ICT companies listed in S&P500 are chosen for the sample. UCINET6 is used to analyze the network structural characteristics such as outdegree centrality, betweenness centrality and efficiency. Then, regression analysis test is conducted to find out how these network characteristics are related to business performance. It is found that each network index has significant impacts on net income, i.e. business performance. However, it is found that efficiency is negatively associated with business performance. As the efficiency increases, net income decreases and it has a negative impact on business performances. Furthermore, it is shown that betweenness centrality solely has statistically significance for the multiple regression analysis with three network indexes. The patent citation network analysis shows the flows of knowledge between firms, and it can be expected to contribute to company's management strategies by analyzing company's network structural positions.
As the change of information and digital technology progresses, ubiquitous space is attracting attention as a new space concept in which the physical and digital spaces are connected to each other. As its meaning in latin itself - 'there exist everywhere at the same time'- implies, however, the ubiquitous space has been mostly discussed in a non-physical aspect, such as in a technological area, rather than its physical intrinsic property until now. Although theories regarding a ubiquitous city have been rarity suggested, in most cases, technological aspects such as the systemization or networking of individual information service have been the focus. However, one of the intentions induced in the concept that scholars including Mark weiser and Sakamura Ken introduced was to place humans in the center of the space in which the technology has been placed instead of humans. For this purpose, the renovation of human interface must be required. As technology develops, the achievement of ubiquitous space may be possible, and efforts to apply this to real space are making an appearance. The examples of the present research are the spaces that have a characteristic of the laboratory separated from life in the city, and the construct scale is in the level of an individual facility; therefore, further studies should functionally and spaciously connect all subjects existing in space and effectively relate this to real world. The present research is intended to demonstrate the investigation on several projects that are currently underway and the developmental direction of new, ubiquitous space.
A large number of works have been Performed to understand the electrochemical growth of Polypynole on conducting substrates in aqueous as well as in nonaqueous solutions. Recently most researches with Polypyrrole have tended to be directed toward technological applications, but many fundamental physical and chemical properties of Polypyrrole remain unknown. In Particular, microrheological Property of polypyrrole has been largely neglected until the advanced electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance technique was introduced recently. To study anion effects on microrheolosical Property of Polypyrrole, we investigated changes in viscoelasticity of Polypyrrole during electrochemical growth in neutral aqueous solutions by means of in siか electrochemical quartz crystal oscillator method. The results showed that the films of Polypyrrole synthesized in $KPF_6\;and\;KCIO_4$ were more viscoelastic than the ones in $KCI,\;KNO_3,\;KBr,\;KBF_4,\;K_2SO_4$, sodium tosylate (NaOTs), and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The growth rate of Polypyrrole in SDS was faster than that in the others utilized. Polypyrroles synthesized in buffered neutral solutions were more elastic than those in unbuffered neutral solutions.
The purpose of this study is to analyze social perceptions and discourses about creating arts in the era of artificial intelligence with making an implication of responding to the emergence of artificial intelligence. We conceptually understand the principles and limitations of creating visual arts using artificial intelligence whilst this paper addresses ai art in the social context by borrowing the theoretical lens from the sociology of arts. This article considers 472 newspapers about artificial intelligence art as the main data, which are interpreted through semantic network analysis. The analysis of this research shows that it is a controversial issue regarding who/which creates the artworks between humans and computers. However, judging from the dominant influence of a group of words representing the recognition of intellectual property rights, we have detected that social awareness is formed around the perspective of considering artificial intelligence creates visual arts rather than artists. In addition, based on the close relationship between the cluster and the cluster reflecting institutional support, we confirm that the discourse about artificial intelligence art is limited to technological development and legal system maintenance. Thus, this study suggests the need for defining artificial intelligence as the medium of art and constructing policy discourses on artificial intelligence art as an artistic genre.

Currently, Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an emerging technological shift that involves applying and maintaining an integral digital representation of all building information for different phases of the project life-cycle. Although BIM has been recognized as a main stream in the construction industry, it is difficult to ensure the quality of BIM data due to the problems such as internal errors of BIM tools and lack of guidelines considering design quality. Such problems give lots of difficulties to BIM adoption for designers, constructors, and owners. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the requirements including the object-oriented modeling method and property definition by applying the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) which is an ISO/PAS 16739 standard for ensuring the quality of BIM data. This research aims at proposing the requirements considering the quality of BIM data and demonstrating the efficiency of the requirements with using the Solibri Model Checker (SMC) which is a quality control tool in a case study.
Disasters are causing significant damage to the lives and property of our society and are recognized as social problems that need to be solved nationally and globally. The 4th industrial revolution technologies affecting society as a whole such as the Internet of Things(IoT), Artificial Intelligence(AI), Drones(Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), and Big Data are continuously absorbed into the disaster and safety industries as scientific and technological tools for solving social problems. Very soon, twenty-nine domestic UAV-related organizations/companies will complete the construction of a multicopter type small UAV integrated system ('17~'20) that can be operated at disaster and security sites. The current work considers and proposes the mid-to-long term R&D direction of disaster UAV as a strategic asset of the national disaster response system. First, the trends of disaster and safety industry and policy are analyzed. Subsequently, the development status and future plans of small UAV, securing shortage technology, and strengthening competitiveness are analyzed. Finally, step-by-step R&D direction of disaster UAV in terms of development strategy, specialized mission, platform, communication, and control and operation is proposed.
Flexural and splitting strength behavior of conventional concrete can significantly be improved by incorporating the fibers in it. A significant number of research studies have been conducted on various types of fibers and their influence on the tensile capacity of concrete. However, as an important property, tensile capacity of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is not modelled properly. Therefore, this paper intends to formulate a model based on experiments that show the relationship between the fiber properties such as the aspect ratio (length/diameter), fiber content, compressive strength, flexural strength and splitting strength of FRC. For the purpose of modeling, various FRC mixes only with steel fiber are adopted from the existing research papers. Automated neural network search (ANS) is then developed and used to investigate the effect of input parameters such as fiber content, aspect ratio and compressive strength to the output parameters of flexural and splitting strength of FRC. It is found that the ANS model can be used to predict the flexural and splitting strength of FRC in a sensible precision.
These days the copyright plays a significant role in various fields of creative works and it has expanded dramatically into unprecedented ways. In Korea, architectural works copyright cases are rare due to the lack of information and understanding of the architectural works copyright. Architectural works copyright can promote architects' creative activities and enhance the quality of architectural works as art. Nevertheless, there is little effort to advance the studies of architectural works copyright in the architectural design area. Under these circumstances, this research attempts to share the basic case laws and remedies for various architectural works copyright issues in the U.S. cases. This Article examines the Thomas Shine v. David M. Childs and Skidmore Owings & Merrill, LLP Case which is the most recent case as I could reach. This case is about a story between two architects, one is from a very prestigious architectural design firm and the other, once Yale Architectural student, now practices his design work as an up-and-coming architect. A close examination of this case will provide a legal and architectural spectrum of copyright. That is, it will make it more specific how to solve the copyright infringement. Artistic and technological contexts are overlapped in Architectural works copyright as its inherent characteristics. Therefore, different ways from other copyrighted works are needed to access the untangled equations of the architectural works copyright protection. In addition, more comprehensible and specific regulations that can impose a remedy more suited to the architectural works copyright violations are needed and they should enable architects to fulfill their architectural activities under wide range of copyright protection. Moreover, in prior to all efforts to handle those equations, fundamental knowledge of architectural works copyright is required to improve the copyright protection in the architectural design area as well as to provide for the globalizing design practice. Ultimately, all of these efforts will be rewarded when constant researches based on Korean and other countries' architectural copyright cases can support them and it would be great if this research can set the stage for resolving expected copyright conflicts within the architectural design area.

As business paradigm shifts toward the convergence of technology and industry, so-called the fourth industrial revolution, research and development on enterprises is becoming the core capability of growth momentum for the future. Accordingly, Management of Technology (MOT) is being paid attention to construct systematical planning and operations on technological strategy, thereby increasing the importance of cooperative relationship in MOT-relevant domains. Due to this reason, academia manages the family membership system that enables mutual collaborations between academia and industry to achieve their win-win strategy and makes customized cooperative systems to share their human and property resources systematically. Particularly, it is vital to operate the family membership system effectively and efficiently in the MOT domain because family enterprises need to endeavor the establishment of value-toward technology strategy within the framework of those cooperative systems. For such the purpose, this paper presents the analysis of the state-of-the art of the family membership system managed by Graduate School of Management of Technology at Pukyong National University. This paper also proposes vitalization strategies of this membership system so that famliy enterprises located in the east-southern area in Republic of Korea can gain MOT-oriented innovative capability.
