Kim(2011) showed that the team-based teaching method which is focusing on the individual job assignment solves the backlash effects of peer-evaluation method and suggested that it should be studied if the job assignment teaching method does not worsen the learning outcomes[1]. To analyse the learning outcomes of the job assignment teaching method is the purpose of this paper. This paper evaluates the improvement of the learning outcomes which are resulted from a variance of education style that each member of project team was given his specific task. Firstly, all the students evaluate a learning satisfaction and quality of outcomes by themselves. Secondly, an instructor and some professionals evaluate all the outputs. The results showed that the learning outcomes evaluated by students and instructors are improved significantly. The suggested method in this paper, which focuses on the job assignment of team project, could improve the learning outcomes of team project in engineering education.

The purpose of this study is to present innovative approaches for u-Learning environment in public education with Digital Textbook. The Korean Government has been making efforts to introduce the u-Learning environment to maximize the learning effect in public education with Digital Textbook. However, there are only a few studies that analyze the effectiveness of u-Learning environment and Digital Textbook. This paper reviews the current status of u-Learning environment in Korea and analyzes the satisfaction level with Digital Textbooks. The first survey regarding technological factors was collected from 197 students. The results of the survey revealed that the level of satisfaction has declined over a year. The weakness of the study is that the sample frame is insufficient and survey questions did not reflect diverse factors of learning effectiveness. To supplement these shortcomings, 2,226 students were asked about learning performance. The results of the survey showed that the satisfaction with Digital Textbooks is much higher than that of paper textbooks. However, this paper is limited to u-Learning environments in public education. Therefore, research needs to be improved by reflecting both public and private sectors of education in following studies. This paper suggests useful guidelines to educators in improving their u-Learning environment.
This quasi-experimental study was conducted to develop and implement a team facilitation program as well as to evaluate the effects of the program on Problem Based Learning (PBL) and how these influence on team dynamics. Data were collected in a convenient sample of 126 nursing students (intervention group=69; control group=57). Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$ test, T-test, and ANCOVA. SPSS23 was used. The intervention group received the PBL team facilitation program, whereas the control group received a human interaction training. The intervention group than the control group demonstrated significantly higher scores in a team dynamic among team members(F=10.35,p<0.01), trust among team members(F=9.86,p<0.01), communication(F=5.69,p<0.05), learning behavior of a team(F=4.57,p<0.05), and individual capability evaluation(F=5.12,p<0.05). Team performance was not significantly different between groups. This study reveals that the team facilitation program is an effective strategy to maximize the effects of PBL. We propose the need for educational strategy to support team function.

Purpose:This study was conducted to identify the effects of an action learning based creative problem-solving (CPS) course on problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study applying a non-equivalent control group pre-post design was employed. Sophomore nursing students (32 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group) were recruited from a university in G-city, Korea. Problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange were measured for the pretest and posttest using self-report questionnaires. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/Win 20.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The scores for problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that an action learning based CPS course is an effective teaching method to improve nursing students' competencies. In the future longitudinal studies are needed to assess the long term effects of the course.
Aus-tempering heat treatment is suitable for thin and small-sized in precision parts. However, the heat treatment process relies on the experience and skill of the operator, making it challenging to produce precision parts due to the cold forging process. The aims of this study is to explore suitable machine learning models using data from the aus-tempering heat treatment process and analyze the factors that significantly impact the mechanic properties (e.g. hardness). As a result, the study analyzed, from a machine learning perspective, how hardness prediction varies based on the quenching temperature, carbon (C), and copper (Cu) contents.
In the elementary science classroom, inquiry-based learning activities are often limited to students' hands-on experiences. As a result, students often overlook core concepts they are supposed to acquire from the inquiry activities and show difficulties in applying those concepts in a real life context. To make a connection between the hands-on activities and the concept leaning, a small-group discussion can be considered. In this study, we designed a team-based learning (TBL) model for the elementary science classroom. We developed teaching and learning materials for the "Comfortable Environments" unit in the 6th grade curriculum based on the TBL model. After appling the model with 32 6th grade students, we compared the TBL participants' level of concept understanding and attitudes toward science before and after the intervention, and also compared them with their counterpart control group who participated in a traditional classroom. The results showed that the level of concept understanding of the TBL participants were higher than that of the control group. However, there was no statistically significant difference found in attitudes toward science between the TBL participants and the control group. In addition, the interviews with the TBL participants showed that they positively perceived the TBL experiences.
Passive learning attitudes and lack of enthusiasm in a retailing math course is quite common and a significant number of students do express their frustrations and struggles by seeking extra help outside the classroom. In order to promote students' active participation in class and to improve their performance and overall satisfaction with the course, a modified team-based learning (TBL) method was implemented in a retailing math course in two consecutive semesters. Implementing TBL into a retailing math course would improve students' accountability for their own learning, increase student interactions and engagement, and develop teamwork and collaboration skills. The scores on the midterm and final tests indicated that students' performance improved especially for the students who scored below 80% on each test when TBL was implemented. Students' reflection on the TBL activities done in class throughout the semester indicated that these TBL activities help them solidify the concepts taught in class better. They were able to realize their own mistakes and other group members who got the question right helped them understand. To maximize the benefit of TBL, it is suggested to implement TBL within the flipped classroom. Further research is called for to evaluate the effect of TBL on long-term knowledge retention among college students.

This sturdy examined the effectiveness of Team-Based Learning(TBL) program according to learning attitude, learning motivation and self-directed learning of nursing students learning the anatomy. A 12week TBL program which they were made small group as 6-7 students aimed at anatomy aspects was given 145 freshmen. A triangulation that quantitative Research used paired t-test, Pearson Correlation Coefficient by SPSS WIN 18.0 and qualitative research was conducted content analysis. Through this subject, significant improvement was found in learning motivation(t=-2.97, p<.003) and self-directed learning(t=-2.40, p<.018). There was a significant positive correlation. TBL is useful teaching and learning method on nursing students. We suggest that it is needed to measure the educational effects of TBL against other subjects.
This study deals with the case of online-based project learning, which was designed for the purpose of university educational innovation and enhancing learners' competencies required by society, operated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The course was applied Python programming language, team-based project learning, and intensive course system, which is required by our society and companies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Also it was operated as a non-face-to-face online class, which would have been operated in an offline class if it had not been for Covid 19 pandemic, to explore the possibilities and educational effects of online learning. To do this, 32 university students participated in online-based project learning during 8 weeks, and then conducted a survey. The survey results were analyzed in terms of i) non-face-to-face online learning, ii) team-based project learning, and iii) application of the intensive course system. Results say that most of the learners were satisfied with the online learning, team-based project learning, and the intensive semester system applied in this course at a high level, and also they clearly presented the reasons. Thereby, it has been confirmed that the learners were already well aware of the pros and cons of each learning method. Based on these results, the implications were discussed.

Cyber threats such as forced personal information collection and distribution of malicious codes using malicious URLs continue to occur. In order to cope with such cyber threats, a security technologies that quickly detects malicious URLs and prevents damage are required. In a web environment, malicious URLs have various forms and are created and deleted from time to time, so there is a limit to the response as a method of detecting or filtering by signature matching. Recently, researches on detecting and predicting malicious URLs using machine learning techniques have been actively conducted. Existing studies have proposed various features and machine learning algorithms for predicting malicious URLs, but most of them are only suggesting specialized algorithms by supplementing features and preprocessing, so it is difficult to sufficiently reflect the strengths of various machine learning algorithms. In this paper, a system for predicting malicious URLs using multiple machine learning algorithms was proposed, and an experiment was performed to combine the prediction results of multiple machine learning models to increase the accuracy of predicting malicious URLs. Through experiments, it was proved that the combination of multiple models is useful in improving the prediction performance compared to a single model.
