  • In the 2015 revised curriculum, software (SW) education was strengthened to cultivate computational thinking. In the curriculum of practical course at elementary school and of informatics course at secondary school, the characteristics, and content systems of SW education have developed systematically. However, it is necessary to study practical methods and cases for SW education because the curriculums provide only note and direction about teaching & learning, and evaluation methods for SW education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the achievement standards of the SW curriculum in the tasks of Bebras Challenge 2017 and to suggest various methods of teaching and learning, and of evaluation using the Bebras tasks. The results of this study are expected to propose a basis to develop various teaching and learning and evaluation researches.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine differences between the traditional lecture teaching learning method and action learning teaching learning method of nursing students' leadership, problem solving competence, creativity, and critical thinking disposition. Methods: This study was carried out from February 24, 2014 to May 30, 2014 with 171 nursing students (an experimental group of 88 students and a control group of 83 students) assigned among $2^{nd}$ year students attending nursing departments in U city. The Action learning teaching learning method applied to the experimental group by two experts. The Traditional lecture teaching learning method applied to the control group. In order to compare the differences, a pre and post questionnaire were used. The data gathered was analyzed using the SPSS 22. Results: Upon completion of education the nursing students' leadership, problem solving competence and creativity significantly increased both in the experimental group and in the control group compared to the pre testing phase. The critical thinking disposition significantly increased after education in the experimental group, but there was no significant change in the critical thinking disposition of the control group. Conclusion: To improve nursing students' leadership, problem solving competence, creativity, and critical thinking disposition the action learning teaching learning method appears to be more effective than the traditional lecture teaching learning method.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the teaching and learning programs for science teachers' scientific hypothesis testing-method invention. Subjects were 30 secondary school science teachers. The potato juice task was administered to the subjects before and after instructional treatments. The four-step strategy including the steps of identifying factors, identifying variables, selecting variables and inventing methods, was applied to the development of the teaching and learning programs for the science teachers. The programs were developed by 6 experts through the R&D method. The results of this study revealed that the number and elaborateness of science teachers' scientific hypothesis testing-methods increased after the instructional treatments. The testing ability of testing-methods invented by science teachers in the posttest was stronger than the one of the methods invented in the pretest. This study also discussed the implications of these findings for teaching and learning in science education.

  • This study presents a model for blended problem-based learning (BPBL) for engineering colleges in Mongolia in order to efficiently train talented Mongolian specialists "With problem-solving skills for the current information technology era. BPBL is learner-centered teaching method that promotes learning. Moreover, current teaching methods in the engineering colleges of Mongolia should change to novel and flexible teaching environments and methods that meet learners' needs. Thus, using BPBL for engineering education development in Mongolia will provide more teaching possibilities, which will assist the professors. Over the past few years, universities in Mongolia have established the Center for Teacher Development, which provides training and gives advice to staff about teaching methods, although the majority of lectures are still fragmentary and anecdotal. Therefore, many professors teach the way they learned, and most teaching methods used up till now have been teacher-centered. However, modern college instructors and modem society demand different engineering teaching methods from teachers who are more familiar with old-fashioned methods. Furthermore, the methods should meet the needs of individuals and groups who prefer to apply technology in the engineering learning process. Using an effective engineering strategy in the development of a new engineering teaching method will lead to its success.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop an effective teaching-learning model and suggest efficient methods for improving the learning abilities in mathematics of the students of engineering college. For this purpose, we examined their learning styles and learning attitudes toward Mathematics, which are important factors in teaching-learning process, and analyzed the relation between them. As a result, we found that participants had a disposition of being dependent and highly participating, so we made an effort to develop a teaching-learning model which can make the students active and highly involved in. After applying the developed teaching-learning model to Engineering Mathematics class for one semester, we conducted survey of the participants' responses. In conclusion, we found that this model is very helpful for Engineering students to utilize a self-directed learning by diagnosing and adjusting their learning process in Meta-cognitive way. Also, it is confirmed that this model has a considerable influence in which students can actively participate in class and have positive attitude to Mathematics learning.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the differences between science teachers' preference and their students' awareness for teaching and learning methods according to classroom circumstance, with a focus on the 'Stimulus and Reaction' subject unit in middle school. A survey was given to teachers and students that concentrated mainly on the 8 grade 'stimulus and reaction' unit, it was followed by interviews with 5 students to and in the interpretation of the findings. The questionnaire participants consisted of 192 science teachers and 331 $8^{th}$ grade students. Lecturing was the teaching method which was most favored by teachers and mainly recognized by students followed by questioning, educational software and film/video. We could see difference of recognition between teachers and students from this result in application, review and attitude area. The teaching methods applied by teachers and recognized by students depended on the instructional situation. In addition, it was revealed that teachers were applying various teaching methods to classroom situations.

  • In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, various attempts have been made to incorporate ICT technology into mathematics teaching and learning, and the necessity and efficiency of classroom instruction using flipped learning, virtual reality and augmented reality have attracted attention. This leads to an increase in demand for instructional contents and their use in education. Therefore, there is a growing need for the development of instructional contents that can be applied in the field and the study of teaching methods. In this point of view, this research classifies the types of teaching-learning, presents the flipped learning instruction and mathematics contents by teaching-learning types using constructivist mathematics education principles and augmented reality-based mobile applications. These methods and lesson plans can provide a useful framework for teaching-learning in mathematics education.
