This study was to investigate the perception, performance, and difficulties of process-based assessment for high school mathematics teachers. As a qualitative case study, two in-depth group interviews were conducted with 6 high school mathematics teachers working in Incheon area. The two groups were one with more experience in process-based assessment and the other with less experience. As results, there were differences between the participant teachers' perception of process-based assessment and their actual performance depending on the experience. All six math teachers thought that the process-based assessment was intended to confirm the learner's characteristics, to evaluate the process, and to provide feedback on a regular basis immediately and individually. However, in the practical performance shared by teachers, the purpose of assessment was to create a school record. A group with a lot of experience prepared assessment criteria according to the national curriculum achievement standards, established affective assessment plans, and tried to provide individual feedback on a regular basis. On the other hand, the inexperienced group recorded the affective characteristics discovered by chance and provided temporary and large-scale feedback regardless of the achievement criteria. Finally, we suggested some implications based on the study results.

This study explored the overall perception of teaching media from the perspective of pre-service teachers. For this purpose, reflection journals written by 138 pre-service teachers were analyzed, and positive and negative perceptions of teaching media were explored. In the reflection diary, pre-service teachers were asked to write down examples of appropriate use of instructional media and the effects of their experiences, cases of inappropriate use of instructional media, and areas requiring improvement. The main research results are as follows. First, the positive aspects of teaching media perceived by prospective teachers were that it presented examples that could help understanding, aroused curiosity to focus attention, and encouraged participation to motivate learning. Second, the negative aspects of teaching media perceived by prospective teachers include cases where the playback time of the video containing learning content is excessively long and the content of the video is unclear or is higher than the learner's level and difficult to understand. This study is significant in that it presents pre-service teachers experiences and perceptions of teaching media and their desirable use methods.

Because the motive of application for their major was simply based on their high school records, they were admitted to their university without previous knowledge of their major. The reason why they wanted to tranfer to another course after the admission was the same as above. The level of satisfaction of their major was the highest in Freshman, but in other grades the higher the;, grades were, the more they satisfied with their major and they had a better prospects about their speciality. 2. Self-concept in profermance for their major Self-concept in horne aspects was more positive perception than in social aspects & self control aspects. As their grades were higher, the self-concept in social aspects bacame higher. The students who were satisfied with their major and took counsel their personal problems with their parents had more positive self - concept in social aspects. Self-concept in self control aspects was lower than other aspects. The students who didn't take counsel their problems with their parents, were burdened with their educational expenses and their curriculum had more negative self-concept in self control aspects. Therefore the university should be concerned about student's welfare and provide detailed orientation about their curriculum. 3. This study is to clarify how college students think about quality computer classes. Q methodology is applied to extract the subjective thinking of college students. After extracting the statements through students' interviews and advanced study, the 54 Q samples were selected. The P sample consisted of 50 college students. They performed Q sort against the Q sample questionnaire. The Q sort results were analyzed by performing QUANL program. As a result of the analysis, four types of perceptions of quality computer classes based on college students' ideas were extracted. There were no differences between male and female students, but there was a clear difference between general college and teacher's college students by type. The types were divided into four categories which we named as follows: is 'Value change-oriented class through creative problem-solving', is 'Improving computer application skills through the learner's competition', is 'Improving advanced computer technology with programming skills' and is 'Learner centered pleasant class'.
In this study, we used Virtual Reality (VR) materials on an introductory earth science course consisted of thirty six pre-service science teacher program students. Before and after class an instrument of Constructivist Learning Environment Survey (CLES) was administered. The main focus of the CLES was to evaluate how the classroom was prepared for student centered learning environment. The pre and post tests of student perceptions regarding their learning environment were compared in six domains: personal relevance, critical voice, shared control, student negotiation, scientific uncertainty, and attitude. Questionnaire regarding the general perception of the VR materials was administered as well. How future science teachers valued the use of VR materials in their classrooms was found from this study. Based on these results, we intend to contribute for a more complete understanding of the potential of VR materials in achieving better learner-centered classroom environment.
As the media changes, communication patterns in modern society have been changed as well. This change in the media environment has also transformed the required literacy and it is time to accept this new literacy in Korean language education. At this point, this paper inspected the perception of media literacy classes of 73 teachers currently in the field of Korean language education. The results show that most teachers are aware of the media literacy which has changed socially, and show strong agreement that this changed literacy should be applied in the field of Korean language education. However, today's media literacy education is passive. Although teachers generally understand the dynamic features of newly emerging digital media, it remains as a tool in class. The teachers pointed out that device problems such as device environment and the spread of media are one of the many reasons for such passive usage. However, the more fundamental problem is that the new communication environment has not been reflected in the curriculum actively. Teachers thought that media literacy has a close relationship with Korean proficiency. Also, they saw that this kind of media literacy will be required for Korean learners in the future with more importance. Based on the results of the study, this paper argues that Korean language education needs to accept and reflect the changes of media in the curriculum.
