The purpose of this study is to analyze the survey and prove the role and impact of teacher librarian's professionalism on the School Libraries Revitalization. The samples of the survey, consisted 96 school libraries in Kyungbuk Province, were revitalized before 2005 by School Library Revitalization Project of Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Korea. The samples were divided into two groups; the one group consisted of 47 libraries managed by teacher librarian, and the other group consisted of 49 libraries which were managed by class teachers who are not majored in Library Science. The questionnaires were mainly conducted by survey but interview, telephone, and e-mail method also used. The state of the art of the library management, including budget, acquisition, cataloging, collection management, circulation, information technology, and the services for the faculties and students between two groups were analyzed and compared. The results showed that teacher librarian group offers more user-tailored and intensive services than class teacher group.

The Quality of Early Childhood Teachers has recently become More Important as the Amount of Time Spent by Early Childhood Educational Institutions Increases. The Purpose of this Study was to Investigate the Effects of Professionalism Awareness and Occupational Stress on Teacher and Child Interactions in Early Childhood Teachers. The Questionnaires were Distributed to 150 teachers in 30 Early Childhood Education Centers and 134 completed Questionnaires were Collected and Analyzed Using SPSS 18.0 Program. The Results of this Study are as Follows. First, the Lack of Leadership and Administrative Support Adversely Affects Teacher's Professionalism Awareness. Behavior Interaction and Verbal Interaction among Teachers and Children are Influenced by Emotional Interaction. Second, analysis of the Influence of Professionalism Awareness and Occupational Stress on Emotional Interaction of Early Childhood Teachers revealed that Among the Sub-factors of Professional Awareness, the Variables of Work Ethics, Professional Knowledge and Technical Requirements Positively Influenced Affective, Emotional, Verbal, and Behavioral Interactions.

This study which is an alternative exploration for improving the quality level of instruction considering the perception of the teachers in early childhood education field on instructional design is to develop Differentiated Instructional Design Model coincides with the purpose of differentiated instruction curricula and with instructional design principles, and to find out whether the model has significant effect on development of teacher's professionalism. With these purposes, the perception of 343 teachers from early childhood education institutions are investigated, and after component variables are set by drawing the instructional design model available in early childhood education field and reviewing the literature of differentiated instruction model, the Differentiated Instructional design Model for Early Childhood are developed based on FGI(Focus Group Interview) expert evaluation. The experimental study of 88 teachers working in childcare facilities was implemented for effectiveness verification. As a result, first, most teachers consider the priority on making the lesson plans as the development of early childhood and Kindergarten Educational Subjects, and they realize the development of instructional design model which contributes on lesson planning and implementation is much needed. Second, the Differentiated Instructional design Model for Early Childhood are developed, which consists of the cyclic process - pre-lesson phase, lesson implementation phase, and assessment phase -based on development characteristics of early childhood. Third, the experiment of the developed model showed that the scores of experimental group is significantly higher than those of comparative group in knowledge and technique development aspect, and self-understanding development aspect among the aspects of development of teacher's professionalism.
The development of teacher's professionalism through teacher education is a key element in the improvement of school education. However, there has been criticism that the mathematics teacher education in Korea do not provide given enough opportunities for the classroom experience during preservice teacher education period. For development of inservice mathematics teachers and preservice teachers' teaching professionalism, this study develops a research community for mathematics classroom consisting of experts, inservice mathematics teachers, and preservice teachers. And the study explores the possibilities of the model as an educational space for inservice teachers and preservice teachers by participating in a series of courses such as task development and revision, and observation and analysis of classes. As results, inservice teachers and preservice teachers were able to enhance the practical experience and understanding necessary for the class, and they were also positively influenced in teacher efficacy and view of teaching on the model. Based on this, we suggest the possibility of the model as a teacher education system.
The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the professionalism of elementary teachers in charge of teaching the science-gifted children, based on their personal variables, such as gender, educational career in normal class and gifted class, training in gifted education, academic degree, etc. For this study, the questionnaire was modified by referring to Choi's survey, and conducted to 98 teachers. The results of this study were as follows: In gender, the average of male teachers was significantly higher than the average of female teachers in their professionalism in gifted education. Regional difference was found in the teacher's professionalism, however, showed different aspects in the sub-domain. The teachers' professionalism in accordance with the career in education was no difference. In gifted education career, professionalism increased as high career in gifted education, especially, more than three years. As better educated, teachers' professionalism in responsibility and philosophical understanding for gifted education was increased significantly. The teachers' professionalism according to the degree of training related to gifted education was no significant difference. Overall, 'responsibility and philosophical understanding' and 'humanities-oriented quality' for gifted education were not greatly affected by teacher's personal variables in this study. Based on conclusions, implications for improving their professionalism in gifted education were discussed.

The goal of the study is to find the necessary measures to facilitate a desirable Technology and Home Economics curriculum by reflecting the Perception and needs of the teachers from the perspective of the curriculum content. professionalism of the teacher realistic operations of the school . and the administration of the school system. The results obtained from the research are as follows : 1) The background knowledge and characteristics of the two curriculums are different. and in addition there is a negative perception due to the fact that it is hard to facilitate a class with just one teacher. 2) The issues that were most serious to teachers were professionalism of the teacher. qualification of the teachers. and teaching method. Also the teachers lacked in confidence in teaching and the curriculum itself. 3) In regards to qualifications of the teacher the teachers requested that teachers should have single qualification in 'Technology(or Home Economics)'or dual qualifications in both 'Technology' and 'Home Economics'. As for teaching methodology responded that from the teacher and student perspective the teaching should be divided whereas from the school's perspective the responsibility should be Put on a single teacher. 4) Teachers responded that from the perspective of the teacher, parent or student Technology and Home Economics should be separated into two subjects.
The purpose of this study is to find identity of the elementary environmental education and inquire elements of professionalism in environmental education that elementary teachers should have. This study performed a half-structured interview in twice to the eight of elementary teachers who completed the environmental education curriculum course in a graduate school or participated in the teacher training program before. As a result, this study found that the identity of the elementary environmental education consists of the unification comprehending various subjects, the well-rounded sensitivity balancing intellectual, emotional and behavioral aspects, and the grounding in forming environmentally friendly living-habit and academic basis of environments. Moreover, this study found that the teacher training program for the specialty of the elementary environmental teachers should comprise of the following twelve components: the knowledge of overall environmental curriculum, environmental life guidance and environmental classroom management, environmental teaching skills and function, the passion and commitment about environmental education, environmental sensitivity, understanding of education studies, the values and attitude about environment, environmental behavior, understanding the relationship between environmental psychology and developing stage of child, the general education and communication/cooperation with colleagues or local community, understanding of the role as an teacher for the elementary environmental education. More importantly, it would be very crucial that the teachers themselves who are the main body of education system should recognize the their role as the professionals in order to improve the quality of education.
Nowaday our school education have been undergone decisive influences by the entrance and examination-oriented education system. To enter universities which belong to top classes in Korean society could be look upon the important success of school education, and it could be equaled to the quality of competent teacher(teacher's professionalism). However, the creativity and knowledge composition ability in the school education will be considered seriously in the coming of 21st century knowledge, information-oriented and globalization society. In this situation, we try to trace about the system and style of foreign school education which is unfamiliar to us, spontaneously we should explore the educational implication which affects to our school education. In this paper, we have reviewed about the present condition and the current situation of Philippines school education(San Beda College Alabang and Rizal Campus). Of course, we tried to observe the practical education activities including a curriculum, teacher, teaching and studying method and student activity. Through this trial, we tried to suggest the effective environment and methodology for the improvement in quality of our school education. Philippines school education 1) could be achieved educational ideas and goals based on the spirit of school establishment, 2) could be gained teacher's professionalism through the system of Coordinator and Prefect, 3) could be conducted learner-centered lessons by the learning method of exploration, discussion, task-resolving, 4) was able to created a pleasant school education through the development and application of a variety of educational programs.
In child care teacher aptitude, it is identified that there is difference between male and female in sociability for the infants, but it shows that there is no difference in other field and implies that compared with gender of child care teacher, desire and qualification are more important for child care teaching. In addition,, in child care teacher aptitude, it is identified that as variable, commitment for duty expressively explicates child care teacher's professional perception, and the following things are shown as the variables to meaningfully explain the child care efficacy : creativity, self-improvement, sociability for infants, receptiveness, sensitiveness and safety management capacity significantly. Finally, it is turned out that creativity and self-improvement as main variable, expressively explains multicultural teaching efficacy. It is suggested the necessity to instruct pre-service child care teachers to possess creativity and be able to develop themselves, and improve multicultural teacher competencies.

The principal purpose of this study is to analyze school organizational culture in secondary school in Busan. This study measures background variables such as gender, teaching experience, classification of school, grade of school, and scale of school. The results of the study are as follows : First, to see the difference on the perception of organizational culture depending on gender, female teachers have a stronger sense of professionalism, community spirit and consideration than male teachers. Second, to see the difference on the perception of organizational culture in terms of teaching experience, teachers who have more than 21 years of teaching experience have a more positive perception on decision-making and consideration than those who have 11~20 years of teaching experience. Third, to see the difference on the perception of organizational culture according to classification of school, public schools have a more positive perception on every item such as professionalism, decision-making, community spirit, and consideration than private school. Fourth, to see the difference on the perception of organizational culture in terms of classification of schools, secondary schools have a more positive perception on professionalism and community spirit than high schools. Lastly, as it is seen in the difference on the perception of organizational culture depending on scale of school, schools which have 13~35 classes have a more positive perception on professionalism than others.
