  • The cruise tourism industry is viewed as a promising growth industry in the 21st century. But legislative framework to allow the cruise tourism industry to develop in China have not yet been fully prepared. Therefore, this study is intended to propose a industry policy for Chinese cruise tourism industry. The policies that Chinese central government implements that should drive growth for development of the cruise tourism industry are as follows: First, government must establish industry policy to slow cruise infrastructure construction. second, government must improve industry policy for attracting visits by cruise vessels. Third, the government must take steps to support cruise product development. Fourth, the government must take steps to support cruise business and social groups. Last, government must intensify the out abroad tourist screening system and cruise casino management.

  • A transmission designed with P.T.O(Power Take-Off) axle for agricultural work vehicles including multi-purpose vehicles has been developed. It is focused on the 4-wheel drive transmission of synchronous contact type for practical use in fruit tree households which is required for a large-sized agricultural vehicle. Concerning to the specification performed, the load capacity is from 500kg to 1,000kg and the safety should be secured for passengers. In addition, the driving condition should also be secured under bad situations of the topographic slope, swampy land and the rest. In order to carry out above tests, a prototype vehicle through strength analysis of transmission design has been manufactured. Consequently, optimal design conditions on the power transmission with multi-purpose vehicle for various jobs are proposed such as an indication of optimal RPM and torque at a certain work situation. The performance test through the prototype of multi-purpose work vehicle is performed and the related data base is achieved. Finally, it is improved on troubles by the analysis of the results of R&D and provided the solutions on problems occurring to mass production in the future.

  • While full recognition of the practical value of Traditional Chinese Medicine is being endorsed, the current stand on the research methodology of this field should be worked out. Since modern medicine has already developed a logical system of research methodology basing on the principles of deduction, any research on any system of medicine need to take reference to what is most popularly used and commonly recommended. The best way to approach research on Chinese Medicine, therefore, would be one that would take full reference to the methodology being used in modern medicine, while at the same time respecting the traditional approach. This would enable traditional medicine to be elevated to the level of general modern recognition. Nevertheless, innate problems in traditional medicine are making its research difficult. The problems lie in difficulties to achieve uniform herb supply, principles of randomization and placebo arrangements, uncertain chemical structures and toxicology etc. A practical approach centered on carefully planned evidence-based clinical trials, with parallel studies on biological activities and herb authentication is being recommended.

  • As of Dec. 31, 2011, the number of nation's escalators accounts for 24,248 units, 5.4% of total elevators in our country, safety accidents take up as many 539 case, 55.2% of total elevators' safety accidents. Escalator safety accidents show high incident ratio of primary safety accidents breaking out by users' careless and abnormal use type, taking up multi-caused accident, which mainly take place from vulnerable age groups such as children under 13, and elders above 65. The Government will have to devote itself for policy and support for the establishment of safety management system fit for current state, the revitalization of preventive education for safety accident, the enhancement of safety awareness to escalators' users in order to secure escalator safety environment on an international level and support domestic industrial development.

  • Heat transfer characteristics of heat storing processes in paraffin-filled horizontal circular cylinder is studied. The unmelted solid paraffin is allowed to fall on the bottom wall under gravity. In the upper liquid phase, natural convection is considered to take place while in the lower liquid film between the solid paraffin and the wall conduction is thought to take place instead. Experimental analyses are also carried out. The amount of the latent heat stored is obtained by recording the time wisely changing side area of the solid paraffin photographically. The mass of paraffin melted in the upper section is obtained by substracting the amount of melted mass in the lower section from the total mass melted and therefrom variation of heat transfer rate in each section is studied.

The questionnaire included general charac-teristics, obesity index, eating behavior and snack intake pattern. The results were as follows. The proportion of obese subjects was 10% by Rohrer index but the rate of obesity by body mass index was 3.3%. The self perception of body shape were optimal (47.9%), fat (29.8%), slightly lean (14.5%), obese (4.7%) and lean (3.1%). Generally, the propor-tion of girls responded them as “fat” was greater than boys. The greater percentage of boys responded them as “lean” than girls. The subjects don't take breakfast regularly were 50.8% and the main reason for skipping breakfast was the lack of time (55.2%). The main type of breakfast was cooked rice (78.9%). • The present study aims to monitor three of the community empowerment projects implemented as part of the community central revitalization projects in Yeongwol. We used an established indicator (i.e., quantitative evaluation) as well as an interview (i.e., qualitative evaluation) throughout the monitoring process. The PM (project manager) committee members, consisting of six interdisciplinary experts, carried out the monitoring from $24^{th}$ of October until the $26^{th}$ of November 2018. We categorized the results of the monitoring into the aspects of needs, software, and hardware, and analyzed them as follows: First, although the locals were willing to take part in programs, they were in overall not well informed about the ongoing programs and the program that suits their needs the most. The service organization should therefore actively publicize the program and provide sufficient information about it .Second, instead of a one-off program, the locals should be empowered to take over the program eventually and develop it as a local business model. Last, the locals from the center as well as the outskirts of Yeongwol should organize a learning net, collaboratively develop a further program, and assess its effectiveness by employing a thorough monitoring system.
