In this paper, English pronunciation system and the methods of its notations which is used in the internet web sites or in electronic English dictionaries are analyzed and new font table and its key layout are presented to input it efficiently. By using this method, English pronunciation can be inputted to the spreadsheets, databases and presentations as well as word-processors, and each application program's data can have compatibility. Furthermore, it can have compatibility within another type of computers and increase inputting speed. In the result of experiments, every data can have the compatibility in all of application programs and inputting speed is increased highly compare with using the pre-existing functions of word-processors.

We have prepared a DEMO conveyor device for conveying a large 8G class glass sheet using ahorizontal air-cushion system. This device consists of the body frame and the driving frame that are combined to realize a frame for conveying glass without any contact.The driving frame comprises an air flotation table (bed), drive roller supported at both ends, and ASU. Part of the ASU serves to control the airflow as the chamber consists of a porous pad and fan. Fiber filters replace the porous pad and axial fans serve as an air compressor. In addition, to determine the appropriate glass levitation from the air table, this study examined the design specifications of the applied filter (discharge speed of HEPA and ULPA filters, and flow rate) as well as the height of the and the proper supporting roller height (14mm). Then, after adjusting the position of the ASU and the number of ASUs required to configure the UNIT air floating C/V, we analyzed the height and flatness of the glass and derived the appropriate layout (1140-mm distance between ASUs).

In this paper, content addressable momory(CAM) using neural network algorithm is proposed to decrease cell loss and process the large amount of data in streaming mode connectionless server at high speed. To overcome problems of area and power dissipation in look-up table using conventional CAM, the proposed neural network CAM is designed to increase linearly address storage bit about increase of address input bit. Its design and imulation is performed by using VHDL and Compass Tool. Also, its layout is performed by using chip compiler, cell-base P&R tool of compass, in 0.8 .mu.m design rule environment.

The severe shortage of the available sites in the highly developed downtown area in Korea necessitates the construction of high-rise buildings which meet the need of residence and commercial activity simultaneously. The objective of this study is to investigate the seismic performance of this type of building structures. For this purpose, two 1:12 scale 17-story reinforced concrete model structures were constructed according to the similitude law, in which the upper 15 stories have a bearing-wall system while the lower 2-story frames with infilled shear wall have two different layouts of the plan : The one has symmetric plan and the other has unsymmetric plan. Then, this model was subjected to a series of earthquake excitations. The test results show that the layout of shear wall has the negligible effect on the natural period and the base shear coefficient, but great effect on the failure mode of beam-column joint at flexible side frame.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the varying characteristic factors for residential kitchen remodeling according to contemporary life style. The subjects of this investigation are collected through questionnaire from adult residents who live in Seoul, Korea. The collected cases are analyzed by using Spss-win. By using the vaimax method on the basis of factor analysis, the satisfaction of the actual conditions is under the influence of finished materials & function, sanitary installation, layout, cooling & heating apparatus, day lighting, air conditioning, and safety. The preference of kitchen remodeling Is affected by finished materials, function, environmental equipment, and air conditioning. The Need of kitchen facility is caused by working table, refrigerator, gas range, dish apparatus, and addition function.

This paper studies computer programming for Two-Way Layout with Multiple Observations - Fixed Model using the subroutines of the former paper. The following items are considered in the PC computer programming: * significant digits in the computation of Sum of Squares * containing the necessary F-distribution values in the program * including the necessary estimation after the Analysis of Variance * following the rules of KS A 0021 in rounding off digits etc. The running results of Analysis of Variation Table and Estimations of a fictitious example is added with the parts of PC program. It should be mentioned that the main purpose of this paper is in the arousing of the discussion about significant digits concept in the PC computer programming for various kinds of Statistical Methods.

Because streaming mode connection server suitable to wide area ATM networks performs transmission, reception and lookup with time restriction for the transmission time of a cell, it has demerits of large cell loss incase that burst traffic occurs. Therefore, in this paper to decrease cell loss we propose a high speed CAM (Content Addressable Memory) which is capable of processing data of streaming mode connections server at a high speed. the proposed CAM is applied to forwarding table VPC map which performs function to output connection numbers about input VPI(Virtual Path Identifier)/VCI(Virtual Channel Identifier). The designed high speed CAM consist of DBL(Dual Bit Line) CAM structure performed independently write operation and match operation and two-port SRAM structure. Also, its simulation verification and full-custom layout is performed by Hspice and Composs tools in 0.8 .$\mu$m design rule.

Using user monitoring techniques on web, marketing decision makers in cyber shopping malls can gather customer behavior data as well as sales transaction data and customer profiles. In this paper, we present a marketing rule extraction technique for customer behavior analysis in cyber shopping malls, The technique is an application of market basket analysis which is a representative data mining technique for extracting association rules. The market basket analysis technique is applied on a customer behavior log table, which provide association rules about web pages in a cyber shopping mall. The extracted association rules can be used for mall layout design, product packaging, web page link design, and product recommendation. A prototype cyber shopping mall with customer monitoring features and a customer behavior analysis algorithm is implemented using Java Web Server, Servlet, JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), and relational database on windows NT.

This study aims for the research of the local circulation in a kitchen to minimize the kitchen work load and to produce a more efficient kitchen system. This study analized the real behavior and circulation in the kitchen area and this focused on the kitchen of the working women in a dual-income family. Through the analisis, this study raised an idea that the work in the kitchen area is not in sequence, but random while the tradition idea of the kitchen system is arranged by cooking programe. Therefore, this became a reason to increase the kitchen work load ratter than the layout of the kitchen system, the cooking style and menu affected on the more kitchen load. To reduce the kitchen work load, the designeer should shorten the circulation in the kitchen area. And this is possible through the decrease distance between the sink and a kiting zone and through the wide kitchen table which is between the sink and a kiting zone.

In this paper, we descried a bottom-up document structure analysis method in bilingual Korean-English document. We proposed a character segmentation method based on the layout information of connected component of each character. In many researches, a document has been analyzed into text blocks and graphics. We analyzed a document into four parts: text, table, graphic, and separator. A text is recursively subdivided into text blocks, text lines, words, and characters. To extract the character in bilingual text, we proposed a new method of word of word separation of Korean or English. Futhermore, we used a character merging and segmentation method in accordance with the properties of Hangul on the Korean word blocks. Experimental results on the various documents show that the proposed method is very effectively operated on the document structure analysis and the character segmentation.
