Ubiquitous health care system, which is one of the developing solution technologies of IT, BT and NT, could give us new medical environments in future. Implementing health information systems can be complex, expensive and frustrating. Healthcare professionals seeking to acquire or upgrade systems do not have a convenient, reliable way of specifying a level of adherence to communication standards sufficient to achieve truly efficient interoperability. Great progress has been made in establishing such standards-DICOM, IHE and HL7, notably, are now highly advanced. IHE has defined a common framework to deliver the basic interoperability needed for local and regional health information networks. It has developed a foundational set of standards-based integration profiles for information exchange with three interrelated efforts. HL7 is one of several ANSI-accredited Standards Developing Organizations operating in the healthcare arena. Most SDOs produce standards (protocols) for a particular healthcare domain such as pharmacy, medical devices, imaging or insurance transactions. HL7's domain is clinical and administrative data. HL7 is an international community of healthcare subject matter experts and information scientists collaborating to create standards for the exchange, management and integration of electronic healthcare information. The ASTM specification for Continuity of Care Record was developed by subcommittee E31.28 on electronic health records, which includes clinicians, provider institutions, administrators, patient advocates, vendors, and health industry. In this paper, there are suggestions that provide a test bed, demonstration and specification of how standards such a IHE, HL7, ASTM can be used to provide an integrated environment.

In the ASP(Application Service Provider) business, applications using database sometimes require some data from clients' databases. These days such data are extracted from client database using manual database operations as an EXCEL file and the ASP, once receiving this file, transfers it into the application's database using manual database operations. This paper describes how to deal with data transmitting between the client database and ASP database on the web without using database manual operations for data extraction and insertion. We propose a framework which enables to transmit client data in a systematical way, to match different attribute names of each database for sharing same attribute values, and to avoid exposing information about the network path of client database to the ASP. This approach consists of two steps of data processing. The first is extracting data from client database as XML format by using a downloaded client program from ASP site, the second is uploading and storing the XML file into the ASP database. The implemented prototype system shows the suggested data integration paradigm is valid and ASP business needing integration of client database can be activated using it.

The first objective of this paper is to develop the frame of design analysis and color plan strategy for the entire brand. A variety of analyses were carried out on the base of the I.R.I system and the semiotic viewpoint to develop the analysis frame for the entire brand meaning and color. The major part of the research is assigned to secure the validity of the analysis framework that is to be applied to the brand environment. Also, by SWOT analysis, analysis consistency has been maintained in design integration based on color frame. And theoretical review was made on color strategy planning. Through this, we attempt to explore the role of total brand strategy and color design requirements and analysis process. As a result, visualization of brand and color has been established by conceptualizing the ideal-type of commercial success. In conclusion, we have demonstrated the results of image analysis of whole brand through commercialization, visualization and expression through analysis and application of design process of total brand, and also showed the process of optimizing color design plan.

Recently, fieldbus communication technologies have been widely deployed for industrial automation because they are profitable in providing easy system integration and management for multiple devices, as well as high-speed communication. It is essential for smart encoders to support fieldbus connectivity, where the device configuration and various types of information related to position are exchanged between an external controller and multiple encoders over the communication link. In this study, we implemented the CiA 406 device profile for smart encoders from the CANopen standards by extending an open-source CANopen standard-compliant framework, called CanFestival. The CiA 406 functionalities implemented in this study were validated on a test-bed consisting of a CANopen master and virtual CANopen encoders with our CiA 406 extension module.

In this paper, we discuss how ontology Plays roles in building a distributed and heterogeneous knowledge-base system. First, we discuss relationship between ontology and agent in the Knowledgeable Community which is a framework of knowledge sharing and reuse based on a multi-agent architecture. Ontology is a minimum requirement for each agent to join the Knowledgeable Community. Second we explain mediation by ontology to show how ontology is used in the Knowledgeable Community. A special agent called mediation analyzes undirected messages and infer candidates of recipient agents by consulting ontology and relationship between ontology and agents. Third we model ontology as combination of aspects each of which can represent a way of conceptualization. Aspects are combined either as combination aspect which means integration of aspects or category aspect which means choice of aspects. Since ontology by aspect allows heterogeneous and multiple descriptions for phenomenon in the world, it is appropriate for heterogeneous knowledge-base systems. We also show translation of messages as a wave of interpreting multiple aspects. A translation agent can translate a message with some aspect to one with another aspect by analyzing dependency of aspects. Mediation and translation of messages are important to build agents easily and naturally because less knowledge on other agents is requested for each agent.

In the system integration (SI) industry, improving relationships with outsourcing partners is one of the key challenges faced by SI companies that aim to increase productivity and reduce costs. In the SI industry, over 80% of project development work is performed by these outsourcing partners. Hence, large SI companies focus on fostering high-performing partners through improved cooperation and mutual relations. However, in the SI industry the existing process of managing outsourcing partners is unable to advance to the level of long-term partnerships due to inadequate information sharing and communication in the process of selecting and assessing a potential and existing partner. Based on the theory of partnership, this study identifies the success factors for new strategic partnerships. Further, this study presents a model for assessing partner companies to promote increased productivity and improve the relationship between an SI company and its partner. In addition, this model is used to assess partner relationships for a well-known SI company "A". This study explores the feasibility of a new framework model.

New paradigm is based on the e-navigation policy which is the harmonised collection, integration, exchange, presentation and analysis of maritime information onboard and ashore by electronic means to enhance berth to berth navigation and related services, for safety and security at sea and protection of the marine environment. One of the requirements is seamless communications between various communication systems. So we need the maritime wireless communications based on the SDR technology. In this paper we analyse characteristics and issues of maritime wireless communication technology and service framework and propose a SDR based maritime system platform which can operate in multi-mode.

Through Korean Smart-Navigation Project we are tasking with a VDES test network construction and service solution development. In this task, we design a structure that interoperates the VDES network with the service host/client simulator which is communication framework for efficient and reliable and seamless service. The proposed structure includes interface design between VDES test equipments which is VDES shore station, mobile station, gate way, service host and client. And detailed design includes message definition, interface design, operation scenario, equipment design and implementation for VDES test network. After implementing these test equipments with proposed design, we will firstly proceed the test equipment integration and interface test indoors for VDES test network. After fully verifing the VDES test network through indoor tests, we will construct the VDES shore station and mobile station and conduct the sea area tests by 2020.

Decision-making in construction projects often include options features. Such embedded options are difficult to value properly and many decision makers do not have experience in option analysis. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how real option analysis can be used to value capital expenditures on construction materials. We propose a real option framework to evaluate decision-making processes involving the purchase of construction materials. A case study was conducted by evaluating the purchase decision-making of solar cells, a good with high price volatility. Using real option analysis two strategies to improve the financial feasibility of installing a solar panel system were derived. The first strategy involves using a price cap that gives the project manager the right, but not obligation, to buy the modules for a predefined price during the next year. The second strategy is to defer the purchase of the solar cells until future price information becomes clearer. Both of the strategies in the case study were valued using the binominal model. This study will help to improve the financial feasibility of purchasing construction materials with high price volatility by including the value of managerial flexibility.

The paper aims to identify major research issues and basic framework of computer supported collaborative work in design through reviewing recent changes in product development which is getting more integrated, collaborative and computerized. At first the importance of collaborative work in design is discussed throughout the development of design process: from blackbox approach in vernacular design to recent Nigel Cross' es Hybrid model. Then Concurrent Engineering and Quality Function Depolyment are reviewed for showing recent phenomena of integration and collaboration in the process of product development. Computer-aided product development is demonstrated with the case of Blackboard system and Computergenerated form development. In order to outline the fundamental approach for computer-supported collaborative work in design, structures and processes of some related projects are introduced. Finally, based on the findings, some research issues for further rJevelopment are proposed.
