볼군의 다수 접촉점이 접촉저항에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Multiple Contact Spots Simulated by Array of Balls on Contact Resistance)

  • The multiple character of the contact interaction and the collective behavior of elementary microcontacts play a significant role in all the processes occurring in the surface layers, including the failure due to friction and wear. The array of metal spheres compressed between flat plates has been used for simulation of the contact behavior of multiple contact of solids under normal loading. An experimental design has been made providing regular array of the spheres at the same size with different spatial order. Measurement of electrial contact resistance has been made using the equipment providing the adequate accuracy in the range of micro Ohms. The data on electrical contact resistance have been compared with theoretical predictions using the multiple contact model of constriction resistance. The effect of single spots number and array on conductivity of contact has been evaluated.

입방체형삼축시험에 의한 모래의 3차원거동 및 예측 (Three Demensional Behavior of Sand in Cubical Triaxial Tests and Its Prediction)

  • A series of drained cubical triaxial tests was performed to investigate the finfluence of the intermediate principal stress on the deformation and strength characteristics of sand. Test results showed that the strength of sand as represented by the friction angle increased from triaxial compression condition (b:0) with increasing magnitude of the intermediate principal stress until the vus of b reached 0.75, land it decreased slightly with closing to b= 1. Also it was found that the projection of the plastic strain increment vector on the octahedral plane was perpendicular to the trace of the failure surface on that plane. The prediction by the isotropic single hardening model sllowed good coinidence with experimental results.

  • Urethane, epoxy, acrylic have common property to adhere on the concrete dried surface in the waterproofing materials at present. In the wet condition, however, the materials such as urethane, epoxy, acrylic need a long hardening time and it become a reason of water leakage as the materials breaking down. it is one of the problem to adhere to the substrate. Therefore, in this thesis, I focused to assure the structural safety and durability and quality for waterproofing and safe of construction cost by cut down the cost of labor and reduce the term of works as searching the application of field condition for hish adhesive spray type of degenerated and rubberized asphalt membrane material.

  • In the case of conventional ultra-fast hardness membrane waterproofing material (polyurea, etc.), damage such as breakage or tearing occurred frequently at the time of cracking of the surface after waterproofing. In this study, it is suggested that a waterproof layer can not cope with the occurrence of cracks at the same time by applying the soft type waterproofing material of soft type at the lower part of the construction method (securing of elongation) To minimize the possibility of water resistance.

  • In the automobile industry, the various efforts to lower their industrial cost and enhance fuel efficiency have been made through process improvement or weight saving of automobile parts. Gear is one of significant parts of transmission, which is made by cast iron or alloy steel. It is expensive due to complex processing, inferior materials and large machining allowance. In this study, alternative gear cars oil which is based on fluid applications materials is produced by reducing surface induction hardening and carburizing hardened in production. And then, wear characteristic and mechanical properties such as hardness of the sintered alloy which is used as a substitute for small machining allowance is investigated.

Reliability analysis of the nonlinear behaviour of stainless steel cover-plate joints

  • Stainless steel exhibits high ductility and strain hardening capacity in comparison with carbon steel widely used in constructions. To analyze the particular behaviour of stainless steel cover-plate joints, an experimental study was conducted. It showed large ductility and complex failure modes of the joints. A non-linear finite element model was developed to predict the main parameters influencing the behaviour of these joints. The results of this deterministic model allow us to built a meta-model by using the quadratic response surface method, in order to allow for efficient reliability analysis. This analysis is then applied to the assessment of design formulae in the currently used codes of practice. The reliability analysis has shown that the stainless steel joint design according to Eurocodes leads to much lower failure probabilities than the Eurocodes target reliability for carbon steel, which incites revising the resisting model evaluation and consequently reducing stainless steel joint costs. This approach can be used as a basis to evaluate a wide range of steel joints involving complex failure modes, particularly bearing failure.

  • Induction heating is utilized in a large and ever-increasing number of application. The most prominent of these are billet heating heat treating, metals joining, and metal melting. In these day, heating roll, a kind of induction heating, is widely used in curing of coatings and fiber industry. In this paper, at first, treated that heating roll's characteristics equation. The second, analysis of magnetic flux and eddy currents distribution using FEM.

A Case Study on the Assessment of Damaged Cause for the Damaged Reinforced Concrete Pier

  • In this thesis, appearance inspection, compressive strength of concrete test, arrangement of bar inspection, survey, and bearing stress analysis were performed on a damaged coping of reinforced concrete pier to investigate the damage cause. According to the performed a series of inspections, it was found that the coping of pier was damaged during PSC (Pre-stressed Concrete) beam construction. In this thesis, the repair method for damaged pier was studied. The repair procedure used in this thesis was follows : chipping for damaged part, clean by high-pressure, installation of wire mesh, coating of surface hardening, construction of section restoration material, copula grinding, and prevent coating for far-infrared radiation.

Dual-Curable Acrylic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives Based on UV and Thermal Processes

  • Several dual-curable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) were synthesized by the radical polymerization of acrylic monomers containing benzophenone, hydroxyl, and alkyl groups. The optimum extent of UV-induced cure was determined by varying the content of the benzophenone groups (the photoinitiator) from 0.5 to 1.5 wt%. The weight average molecular weight of the polymers obtained ranged from 300,000 to 700,000 amu. The coated pressure-sensitive adhesives were cured either by short UV exposure to induce the grafting of acrylic polymers, or by heating for 6 hat $60^{\circ}C$ to promote the reactions between the polyisocyanates and hydroxyl groups. The dual-curing behavior was determined by monitoring both processes quantitatively by infrared spectroscopy. The developed dual-curable acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives were found to compensate for the limitations in UV-induced curing of thick coatings.

다양한 구성방정식에 따른 터널 거동해석 (The Analysis of Tunnel Behavior using Different Constitutive Models)

  • 본 논문에서는 여러 가지의 구성방정식 모델을 이용하여 NATM 터널의 유한요소 해석의 적용에 대하여 설명하였다. 일련의 2차원 평면변형률 조건하 NATM 터널의 지반-구조물에 대한 해석을 분석하였다. 사용한 4가지 구성방정식 모델로는 선형탄성, Mohr-Coulomb 탄소성, 변형경화, 연화지반모델이다. 터널설계에서는 지표면의 침하, 지보재 축력에 대한 적절한 예측이 필요하다. 수치해석결과 진보된 구성방정식 모델이 지반변형과 지보재의 축력에 대해 보다 적절한 결과를 나타내었다.
