Supportive leadership style moderated positively both task conflict and relationship conflict on group creativity. But controlling leadership styled moderated negatively relationship conflict and group creativity. Finally the relationship between task conflict and group creativity was moderated by communication. Overall, we suggest conflict is one of the important group process to boost group creativity and supportive leadership and communication are the important moderators to manage conflict successfully and effectively.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between parent's supportive parenting and adolescent sexual values. The subjects were 137 adolescents who attended high school in Keoungbok. Statistical techniques were Factor Analysis, Crosstabs, Two-way ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Multiple Regression. The results of this were as follows. First, Adolescents who more perceived supportive parenting from a parent were more likely to consult with parents about one's own sexual problems. Second, There was significant difference in adolescent sexual values by parent's supportive parenting levels or gender. Adolescents who perceived more supportive parenting from parent, or who were boys were more likely to have positive sexual values. But there was no significant interaction effect of supportive parenting level and gender on adolescent sexual values. Finally, The Multiple Regression analysis showed that gender was the stronger predictor of adolescent sexual values than parent's supportive parenting.

  • This study analyses the effect of gender on the support and control dimension of the relationship between adolescent children and their parents in 5 countries - Korea, Japan, U.S., Germany, and Sweden. This study predicts that mothers are more supportive and less controlling towards their children than fathers; that parents are more supportive towards their daughters than sons; and that supportive relationship is most pronounced in mother-daughter relations while controlling relationship is pronounced in father-son relations. We used the 2006 multi-national survey data collected by the National Youth Policy Institute for the analysis, selecting the cases in which the youth respondents were born between 1988 and 1993 and were living with both biological parents. All three hypotheses are supported in Korean cases. In the cases of the other nations, the hypotheses are only partially supported. In all the 5 nations, mothers are more supportive towards their children than are fathers. While parents are more supportive towards daughters than towards sons in most countries, the impact of children's gender in producing differences in parental behavior is less profound than the impact of parent's gender. Gender affects the control dimension of the relationship only in Korea and U.S.

  • We used structural equation modeling to analyze data from 298 high school students in South Korea to investigate the relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout and the mediating effects of student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction. The results showed that student-perceived teachers' calling was not directly related to students' academic burnout and that student-perceived need-supportive teaching mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Furthermore, student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction sequentially mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Implications and suggestions for future research are discussed based on these results.

  • It a very important part to keep a good relationship with supporters to promote the activities smoothly in non-profit-making organizations. The donation, a financial source of non-profit-making organizations, and the volunteer activities of supporters are also born from the identity with the supportive organizations. This research is a study about the relationship sustainability with supporters and supportive organizations, which is practiced with the variables of image, service quality, ethics, activity, satisfaction, trust, and intent of sustaining their support of supportive organizations. This research aims at making the model of relationship-sustaining intent of supporters and supportive organizations on the bass of the relationship between the conceptual definition about supportive activities and the variables influencing the supportive activities, and at suggesting the marketing points of non-profit-making organizations on the base of the model. This is because the concept of service quality about non-profit-making organizations has not been formed yet, and so it does not influence the trust or the satisfaction. Other assumptions seemed to have some relationship. As a result, in order to increase the intent of sustaining support and the trust in organizations, they need to inform supporters of the image or the results of activities by means of active marketing activities.

Thus, enhancing knowledge sharing and increasing team social capital are critical for the success of the project. This study examines the relationship among the team social capital, team climate and team performance. A research model and hypotheses are developed from literature review and empirically validated. The research model consists of team social capital, team climate and team performance. Specifically, team social capital, as antecedents, wasconceptualized asinternal and external differentiated by team boundary, and team climate is conceptualized as innovative climate and supportive climate. Using measures adopted from previous studies, 166 data points were collected to test the research model and related hypotheses. PLS data analysis indicated that internal and external social capitalhave positive effect on innovative climate while internal social capital has a positive effect on supportive team climate. The innovative and supportive climate has significant effect on the team performance. Based on the results, we proposed several team management skills for IT project managers. Theoretical constributions are discussed at the end with limitations and further studies.
