  • There should be a need for measures to build up environmentally friendly transport system with new town for residence being built near metropolitan area. In order to promote the development of station influence area, convenience for public transport users and LRT(Light Rail Transit) construction, request for the speed improvement of urban transit is on the rise for easy access to the metropolitan area. This paper delves into the efficient operation of high speed train suitable for passenger demand estimates, and seeks to ensure integrated transportation system with subway Line 9 following the construction of Gimpo urban railway.

  • There are execute of new laws about prevent of earthquake diaster in nation because of some increments of big earthquake occurence frequency. Now develope new composit plate by ductile fiber with strong mechanic materials, which compose of strengthening systems for the underground structures subject to forced displacements. This study is to focus to develop the retrofitting system for the cut and cuver tunnels built without earthquake type load scenario, so that it can provide the safety of existing urban subway system against earthquakes.

  • In this paper, the power simulation is used for the prediction of regenerative energy and examination of install location of regenerative inverter for DC railway system. The power simulation was composed to train performance simulation(TPS) and power flow simulation. We performed the power simulation for Seoul subway line 5 and 7, calculation of regenerative energy and examination of substations where regenerative inverter is installed.

  • Recently the urban railroad which is under plan and construction in domestic is under consideration Light Rail Transit mostly with the alternative against excess of working expenses of Midium Rail Transit(subway), inefficient transportation problem etc. It come to a conclusion that the application of the light rail transit is proper from reserve feasibility study and approval process of Master plan in Daegu urban railroad Line No.3 Based on hereupon, carried out the detail investigation for optimum system selection which suitable for Daegu urban circumstance in process of master plan can satisfy the working expenses decided in national expenditure support project.

  • Gas pipelines in bridges, roads and subway construction sections can undergo abrupt stress and vibration changes. To protect human life from any gas leakage accidents induced by the abrupt stress and vibration, the gas pipeline system needs to be continuously monitored. The estimation method of pipeline stress using MEMS wireless tilt sensor has been developed and its validity has been evaluated using a lab test bench.

  • This paper presents a high performance low switching PWM technique for the propulsion system of railway such as subway and high speed train. In order to achieve the continuous voltage control to six-step and a low harmonics with low switching frequency under 500Hz, the synchronous PWM technique is combined with a space vector overmodulation and implemented by using DSP. Improved performance and a validation of proposed method are showed by the digital simulation and the experimental results using a 1.65MVA IGBT VVVF inverter and inertia load equivalent to 160 tons railway vehicles.

  • Power demand forecasting is an important factor of the peak management. This paper deals with the 15 minutes ahead load forecasting problem in a DC urban railway system. Since supplied power lines to trains are connected with parallel, the load characteristics are too complex and highly non-linear. The main idea of the proposed method for the 15 minutes ahead prediction is to use the daily load similarity accounting for the load nonlinearity. An Euclidean norm with weighted factors including loads of the neighbor substation is used for the similar load selection. The prediction value is determinated by the sum of the similar load and the correction value. The correction has applied the neural network model. The feasibility of the proposed method is exemplified through some simulations applied to the actual load data of Incheon subway system.

  • The accidnet of breaking insulator rod leads to inturruption of moving the subway. We investigate the analysis of analysis of breaking accident of FRP insulator rod installed in dead section for catenary feeding system. To analysis of accident reason, SEM is used to analysis microscopic struture on surface of cross section of broken FRP insulator rod. At the same time, we examine the chage of atomic amount on solace of accident insulator through EDX analysis. Also, the test for tensional breaking load is condoled to check the mechanical strength.

  • Air spring system was accepted for railway vehicle secondary suspension to reduce and absorb the vibration and noise. The low natural frequency ensures a comfortable ride and an invariably good stiffness. In this paper, the characteristics and durability test was conducted in laboratory by using servo-hydraulic fatigue testing system to reliability evaluation of air spring for electric railway vehicle. The experimental results show that the characteristics and durability of domestic development productions are obtained the good results. And to guarantee the adaption of air spring, the ride comfort and air pressure variation were measured in train test on subway line.

  • Bimodal tram is able to run both general and special road. It has also the advantages of both public bus and subway which have the charateristics of easiness to approach and punctuality respectively. These advantages are accomplished by the cooperative communication between the control center and bimodal tram which is running with the fleet. This paper have investigated the requirement analysis and designing of the car operating computer system which have the functions of communication, broadcasting and display. car operating computer system communicates between bimodal tram and control center with wireless antenna. It can also transmit the location and status information of bimodal tram to control center for managing the bimodal tram fleet on road efficiently and economically.
