  • The purpose of this study is to identify the leadership and subordination of hospital nurses: to determine the leadership and subordination by nurses' characteristics, which are age, educational background, career, and position of nurses. 279 staff nurses, 13 charge nurses, 32 head nurses and 16 nurse supervisors were participated in this study during the period from Dec. 5 to Dec. 20, 1986. Subjects were instructed to rate at one of five points likert type scale on the 26 items of leadership and subordination. The reliability of the items (Cronbach's α) were 0.63∼0.84. Among the total 26 items, 8 items on authority, 4 items on human relation, 9 items on committment of position and 5items on committment of job were summed to cummulative scores in each category. As a result of data analysis nurses who perceive positive on authority are 68.6% and positive on human relation are 67.9%. The perception of authority is different by age, Career and position of nurses. (P<0.05). And nurses who perceive positive on committment of position are 84.7% and positive on committment of job are 62.1%. The perception of committment for position is different by age, career and position of nurses (P <0.05), and committment of job is different by age and position. (P<0.05).

  • An accurate evaluation of a production capacity is an important role for production planning in manufacturing industry. The study has been partly done about the fluctuation in the conventional study of the production capacity, but the study of the subordination has been hardly done. Therefore, in this paper, we will devide by the production capacity which is formed into the production subjects to evaluate objectively the differences of between the actual capacity and the designed capacity in manufacturing industry and will suggest production capacity estimation model which is considered the fluctuation and the subordination, the decreasing causes of the production capacity. The weight of fluctuation which is used for the computation of the ratio of fluctuation and the ratio of subordination and the subordination are denoted to the interval number Thus, the production capacity is denoted to the interval numbers. The efficiency of the proposed model will show through the case study.

  • This paper discusses the types and functions of English subordinate clauses, whether English subordinate clauses (SC) are headed by a Complementizer (CP) or headed by a lexical (but not functional) Preposition (PP). Furthermore, unlike the standard classification, the current paper provides a finer-grained analysis and classification of English SCs. The traditional or prescriptive view on the functions of English SCs includes Noun SC such as complement clauses, Adjectival SC including relative clauses, and Adverbial SCs that cover a garden variety of subordinators. Added to the existing classification of subordination in English is what I notate as Verbless subordinate clause (V-less SC). Of these 4 different types of subordinate clauses with different functions, properties, and distributions, Subjectless Verbless subordinate clause is further divided into Smallest small clause (SSC) which accounts for English subordination mechanism more uniformly and consistently with respect to their clausal architecture, especially when the subordinate clause is neither PP nor CP.

  • In this paper, we propose an evaluation model of systems level using modified eigenvector method and fuzzy subordination relations. This model is desibmed to evaluate the level of system in enterprise. In here. modified eigenvector method is proposed to compute the weights of each criteria in two evaluation group. Also, fuzzy subordination relations is used to evaluate the relationship between the criteria by painvise comparison. In this paper. we can get the evaluated score for the present level of system. This method will help to manage and improve the systems. We show the efficiency of the this method by means of a case study for evaluation problem of environmental management systems.

  • Let $H(U)$ be the space of all analytic functions in the unit disk $U$ and let $K \subset H(U)$. For the operator $A_{\beta,\gamma} : K \longrightarrow H(U)$ defined by $$ A_{\beta,\gamma}(f)(z) = [\frac{z^\gamma}{\beta + \gamma} \int_{0}^{z} f^\beta (t)t^{\gamma-1} dt]^{1/\beta} $$ and $\beta,\gamma \in C$, we determined conditions on g(z), $\beta and \gamma$ such that $$ z[\frac{z}{f(z)]^\beta \prec z[\frac{z}{g(z)]^\beta implies z[\frac{z}{A_{\beta,\gamma}(f)(z)]^\beta \prec z[\frac{z}{A_{\beta,\gamma}(g)(z)]^\beta $$ and we presented some particular cases of our main result.

  • Let V3(z, f) and 𝜎(1)3(z, f) be the cubic polynomials representing, respectively, the 3rd de la Vallée Poussin mean and the 3rd Cesàro mean of order 1 of a power series f(z). If 𝒦 denotes the usual class of convex univalent functions in the open unit disk centered at the origin, we show that, in general, V3(z, f) ⊀ 𝜎(1)3(z,f), for all f ∈ 𝒦. Making use of polylogarithms, we identify a transformation, Λ : 𝒦 → 𝒦, such that V3(z, Λ(f)) ≺ 𝜎(1)3(z, Λ(f)) for all f ∈ 𝒦. Here '≺' stands for subordination between two analytic functions.

  • In this paper we apply the third-order differential subordination results to normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk. We obtain appropriate classes of admissible functions and find some sufficient conditions of functions to be starlike associated with Tamanoi's Schwarzian derivative of third order. Several interesting examples are also discussed.
