반려동물 상실과 복합 애도: 지각된 사회적 제약의 조절 효과 (Pet Loss and Complicated Grief: The Moderating Role of Perceived Social Constraints)

  • 반려동물은 점차 인간 삶의 중요한 동반자로 자리매김하고 있다. 이에 연구자들은 반려동물 상실과 이에 따른 애도에 주목하고 있다. 반려동물의 상실은 다른 상실과 달리 대개 그 부적응이 오래 지속되는 복합 애도로 나타나는 경우가 많다. 이러한 현상은 사람(vs. 반려동물)과의 관계가 더 중요하다는 사회적 인식에 기인하며, 이는 반려인이 자신의 상실 경험을 타인에게 제대로 이해받지 못한다고 여기게 만드는 일종의 '제약'으로 작용한다. 즉, 반려인의 지각된 사회적 제약은 이들의 반려동물 상실에 대한 회복을 저해하고 복합 애도를 유발하는 중요한 원인이 된다는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 반려동물의 죽음을 경험한 사람들을 대상으로 지각된 사회적 제약이 초기 상실 이후 적응을 방해함으로써 그 충격이 복합 애도로 이어지는 과정을 심화시킬 것이라고 가정하였다. 연구 결과, 예상대로 지각된 사회적 제약은 상실의 충격과 복합 애도의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 반려동물 상실 충격으로 인한 복합 애도는 사회적 제약을 크게 지각할수록 더 강하게 나타나는 경향이 있었다. 본 연구는 반려동물 상실 경험과 애도를 이해하는 데 지각된 사회적 제약이 중요한 역할을 담당함을 보여줌으로써 사회적 인식 변화 및 개선의 필요성을 제안한다.

증강현실에서의 가상현실 콘텐츠 시청 경험과 사이버 멀미 (Cybersickness and Experience of Viewing VR Contents in Augmented Reality)

  • 증강현실은 가상현실과는 구별되는 개념으로, 실제 세계와 가상 세계의 요소가 혼합된 상호작용 환경이다. 본 연구는 가상현실 또는 일상에서 노출될 수 있는 일반적인 콘텐츠를 활용하여, 증강현실이 사용자 경험에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서는 증강현실 사이버 멀미를 유발하기 위해서 조건에 따라 증강현실 노출 시간과 콘텐츠의 움직임 속도를 조작하였다. 실험 과정에서 참가자는 증강현실 기기를 120분 동안 착용하고 30분씩 시뮬레이션 레이싱 게임을 시청하며 색 변화 탐지 과제를 수행하였고, 그로 인해 유발된 주관적인 불편감을 SSQ 설문지를 이용해 보고하였다. 실험 결과, 증강현실 노출 시간이 길어질수록 사이버 멀미는 점진적으로 증가하였으며 기기를 해제한 후에도 사이버 멀미는 지속되었다. 하지만, 움직임 속도는 사이버 멀미에 미미한 영향을 미쳤다. 특히, 메스꺼움 증상과 방향 감각 상실 증상이 높게 유발되는 가상현실과는 다르게 증강현실은 안구 운동 불편감에 대한 보고가 높게 관찰되었다. 본 연구는 증강현실 경험이 가상현실 경험과는 구별됨을 보여주며, 증강현실 경험으로 유발될 수 있는 인체 영향성을 다면적으로 측정했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

여성잡지 의류광고에 나타난 이데올로기 연구 (A Study on the Ideologies of the Clothing Advertisements in Women's Monthly Magazines)

  • Advertisements provide consumers with in-formation and knowledge about products and help a society to sustain homogeneity by actively reflecting important characteristics of mass culture. Yet this reflection is a selective and purposeful representation by the party of the fashion manufactures and carries the intention of stimulating and augmenting desire for commodities aiming to perpetuate capitalism. This study understood this selective reflection of mass culture by advertisements as a feature of hegemonic struggle between/fashion business and consumers and defined the values selected by advertisements as ideologies supporting the consumption ideology of capitalism. The purpose of this study was to examine the contents of the ideologies expressed in the clothing advertisements in women's magazines to persuade consumers into consumption. The method of study was mainly qualitative with subsidiary citations from the results of content analysis. The objects of analysis were clothing advertisements in 1996 issues of CeCi and Woman Sense, which were identified as the two most popular women's monthly magazines. The ideologies identified were ideologies concerning (1) Self Identity, (2) Sensibility, (3) Sex Role, (4) Globalism, (5) Youth, (6) Leas-ure and Pleasure. Repeated and insisted as natural and true, there values were proposed to be believed as common senses and studies re-port that values of advertisements are ac-cepted as more readily as they are more unreasonable, and the acts and behaviors expres-sed within advertisements are often imitated in real life situations. Therefore, it is highly probable that these values emphasized within advertisements are enacted in thoughts and behaviors of consumers' real life. Accordingly the author suggests that critical interpretation of advertisements is seriously required to fully understand the commodity ridden post industrial society of today and to lead a subjective life within it.

말레비치의 "Victory Over the Sun"이 현대 패션디자인에 미친 영향 - Martin Margiela를 중심으로 - (A study of the influences of Malevich's "Victory Over the Sun" on contemporary fashion design - Focused on Martin Margiela -)

  • This study proposes that Malevich's 1913 performance "Victory Over the Sun" was not just Cubo Futurism, but that it produced Suprematism in the early 20th century. "Victory Over the Sun" did away with traditional set and costume design and a call to the Russian avant garde. Therefore, this study analyzes the characteristics of set and the costume design in "Victory Over the Sun", and considers how it impacted twenty-first century fashion designers like Margiela. The results of the study are as follows: first, Margiela reinterpreted the characteristics of the costumes featured on "Victory Over the Sun" from a cubist perspective and represented geometric spatial structures and mechanical human images through changes in methods and materials. second, he designed costumes by applying to the set and costumes expressed black & white images on "Victory Over the Sun". and third, Margiela reinterpreted the warrior image using geometric forms and colors in a creative way. Contemporary fashion designers, including Margiela, express their artistic creativity through various representational and materials choices. They want to convey their subjective personality and emotional sensibility to the public by mixing and deforming existing arts like painting, sculpture, and crafts to create new images. Thus, the creative intentions of the latest fashion designers have expanded art of costume design, exemplifying the process by which art is evolves and is made new.

남성 정장용 양모 직무의 질감 이미지와 선호도 분석 (Texture Image and Preference of Men's Wool/Wool blend Suit Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the structural characteristics of men's suit fabrics on the texture image and the preference, and to analyze the relationship between the preference and the practical sales ratio. In addition, the texture images and the preference of fabric and jackets made of the same fabrics were compared. As specimen, jackets for men's suit of 2002' S/S and their fabrics were collected. Questionnaires composed of 22 sensibility related and 21 fabric image related adjectives were developed. For the subjective evaluation of the texture image, both jackets and fabric samples were tested. Tests were performed with 100 female subjects in clothing department and apparel industry. For the objective evaluation, structural characteristics such as fiber contents, yarn twist, fabric count, thickness and weight were analyzed. Total Hand Value were calculated from mechanical properties determined by the KES-FB system. Factor analysis showed sensibilities were classified into 6 categories; "surface roughness", "weight", "density", "stiffness", "elasticity" and "wetness". Fabric images were classified into 4 categories; "classic", "original", "practical", and "stuffy". Depending on the method to show the specimen to the subjects, whether it is suit or fabric, statistically significant differences were observed with a number of adjectives for sensibilities and fabric images. The results of THV of KES did not agree with the preference of subjects, which suggests that we should be careful when using the KES system, which was developed for Japanese people. Price was considered to be another factor besides the texture image that influenced on purchase.

Gender Differences in the Sensitivity and Displeasure Caused by the Vibration Stimuli Applied to the Forearm in Upper Limb Amputees

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the gender-differences in vibrotactile responses(sensitivity and displeasure) of residual forearm simulated by vibration stimulation in upper limb(trans-radial) amputees. Background: Several studies have reported that vibration stimulation using the haptic vibrator is one the most effective methods for delivering sensation to an amputees. However, few studies have reported the perception to haptic vibratory stimulus, particularly sensitivity and displeasure. Method: We set up a custom-made vibration stimulation system that included 6 actuators(3 medial parts and 3 lateral parts) and a graphical user interface(GUI)-based acquisition system to investigate changes in residual somatosensory sensibility and displeasure in the forearm of upper limb(trans-radial) amputees. Vibration actuators were attached at the 25%-point on the proximal forearm. Stimulation with 32Hz, 64Hz, or 149Hz of frequency was used for the sensitivity tests and with 32~257Hz of frequency was used for the discomfort experiments. The subjective responses were evaluated on a 10 point scale. Results: The results showed that vibrotactile sensory perception in male amputees were higher than that in female amputees. In male amputees, the response at lateral area of forearm was the most sensitive than medial area; but, female amputees showed similar sensitive areas. Subjects did not experience any discomfort during vibrotactile stimuli. Conclusion: Vibrotactile response in the amputees was dependent on gender as well as area stimulated by vibration. Application: The results might contribute to develop the vibrotactile feedback system for the amputees.

빈센트 반 고흐의 '아를의 침실'에 나타난 공간적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spatial Characteristic Reflection on Vincent van Gogh's 'The Bedroom at Arles')

  • Vincent van Gogh is a Dutch postimpressionism artist that is one of the most influential painter of the 20th century with his vivid colors and sensibility. 'The Bedroom at Arles' is the art piece that van Gogh himself had admitted to be a great artwork, which also reflects the story of his life and inner thoughts. The spacial characteristics of 'The Bedroom at Arles' are amanufactures the following. First, the space shown at 'The Bedroom at Arles' exhibits the phenomenon of undoing the law of perspective by authorizing individual existence to the objects and space, instead of fitting in the objects into the space in the order given by the law of perspective; entirely rearranging the reminiscent space from past. Secondly, the expression 'bedroom' reflects that the subject was about his own experience with the space and a representation of his imagination, which is a metaphorical symbol. Thirdly, van Gogh used strong colors and brush touches to express his subjective opinion, which aren't the actual shades of the scene, but chosen only to approach the space and objectives with his own symbolic interpretation from his heart. Through a synthetic overview of the characteristics of van Gogh's 'The Bedroom at Arles', it could be told that he holds an essential Space perception system, in hir inner self. The space is intentionally rearranged and strangely altered to form an entirely new relation, breaking the tension from the systematically stable rules and orders. 'The Bedroom at Arles' seems to express an unique and symbolic sensation and experience through the combination of its colors and spacial structure.

진동자극에 대한 상지 절단자의 전완부 감각 인지 크기와 불쾌감 측정 (The Measurement of the Magnitude of Sensory Perception and Displeasure to the Vibration Stimuli applied on Forearm in upper Limb Amputees)

  • Research involving discomfort or pain related to haptic vibratory stimulation the for prosthesis users of myoelectrical hand is very lacking. Our objective of this study was to evaluate the displeasure and sensitivity of areas in forearm using vibration stimulation system between upper limb amputees and non-amputees. Twenty transradial amputees and forty non-amputees (20 youth, 20 elderly) were involved. We set up custom-made vibration stimulation system including eight actuators (4 medial parts and 4 lateral parts) and GUI-based acquisition system, to investigate changes of residual somatosensory sensibility and displeasure at proximal 25% of forearm. Eight vibration actuators were attached to the circumference of proximal 25% point of forearm at regular intervals. Sensitivity tests were used to stimulate the 120Hz and discomfort experiment was used to 37 ~ 223Hz. The subjective responses were evaluated by 10 point scale. The results showed that both groups were similar in sensitive areas. Response at around of radius was most sensitive than other areas in all subjects. Elderly group do not appear discomfort of vibrotactile; however, youth group and amputee presented discomfort of vibrotactile. Prosthesis with a vibrotactile feedback system should be developed considering the sensitivity. Furthermore, Future studies should investigate the scope of application of that principle.

감성경험 이론에 기반한 탄산음료 패키지 디자인 시각요소의 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction of Visual Elements of Package Design for Carbonated Beverage Based on Emotional Experience Theory)

  • 탄산음료는 우리 생활 속에서 인기가 높은 음료의 일종으로 젊은 층을 중심으로 판매되고 있다. 현재 판매되고 있는 탄산음료는 브랜드가 많고, 대부분 식감의 구분이 강조되고 있으며, 브랜드 이미지와 패키지에 있어 전체적으로 패키지 디자인을 더욱 상업화하였다. 탄산음료 패키지 디자인의 감성경험을 증가시키는 것이 필요하며, 이는 브랜드의 부가가치를 높일 수 있다. 감성은 인간의 가장 보편적인 심리 경험으로써 사물에 대한 주관적인 경험과 느낌이다. 탄산음료의 패키지 디자인에 감성경험의 접목하기를 통해, 탄산음료를 구매하면서 보다 많은 감성적 사용자 경험을 선사해 제품 패키지 디자인의 다양화를 실현하고, 소비자의 감성적 욕구를 충족스키는 것이다. 본 논문은 우선, 탄산음료의 패키지 디자인에 대한 논문을 고찰하고, 시판 중인 탄산음료의 판매 현황에 대한 조사와 패키지 디자인 분석하고, 설문조사를 실시한다. 연구결과, 패키지 디자인을 통해 감성을 경감할 수 있다는 점을 알아냈다. 본 연구가 앞으로 패키지 디자인의 감성경험 향상에 있어 시사점이 되기를 바란다.

이완에 따른 EEG 코히런스 변화에 대한 연구 (A research on EEG coherence variation by relaxation)

  • 본 연구는 이완에 따른 뇌 영역간의 연결성을 코히런스 분석방법으로 확인하고자 한다. 기존의 이완유발에 따른 뇌 활동 변화는 EEG 스펙트럼 분석방법을 사용하여왔다. 하지만 스펙트럼 분석방법으로는 측정영역에서의 반응만을 관찰할 수 있고, 뇌 영역간의 연결성을 분석하기는 힘들다. 따라서 측정점 사이의 연결성을 관찰할 수 있는 코히런스 분석방법으로 이완에 따른 뇌 영역 간의 연결성을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 감성 변화에 따른 중추신경계의 변화를 관찰할 수 있었다. 실험은 24명의 대학생을 대상으로 눈을 감고 이완음향을 듣도록 지시하고 8개의 위치에서 EEG를 측정하였다. EEG측정위치는 국제적인 10-20법에 의거한 F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, P4, O1, 그리고 O2지점을 사용하였다. 실험에 사용된 음향은 White noise를 혼합한 음향과 혼합하지 않은 음향을 사용하였다. 그리고 실제로 이완이 되었는지 확인하기 위해 주관적 감성을 함께 측정하였다. 주관적 감성 응답은 ANOVA(Analysis of Variance)하였다. 음향을 들었을 때 실제로 이완효과가 발생하며, White noise가 이완을 증가시키는 것을 확인하였다. EEG는 측정영역 사이의 코히런스를 측정하였다. 그리고 White noise를 혼합한 음향과 혼합하지 않은 음향을 들었을 때의 코히런스 결과를 t-test하여 유의성을 확인하였다. 분석결과 White noise를 혼합한 음향에서 후두엽과의 연결성이 증가하였고, White noise를 혼합하지 않은 음향에서는 두정엽과의 연결성이 증가하는 결과를 확인하였다. 이를 통해 이완일 때의 뇌 기능 연결성의 변화를 관찰할 수 있는 중요한 결과를 도출하였다.
