창의적 체험활동 프로그램이 과학개념 및 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Science Lessons Using Creative Activities on Scientific Concepts and Self Directed Learning Ability)

  • This study is to find out that the effects of a creative experience activity program to scientific concepts and self-directed learning skills. This study has been aimed at 2 class 40 students of 4th grade in D metropolitan city A elementary school in 2015, one class 20 students are the research group to apply Scientific research program using creative experience activity, another class 20 students were comparison groups to apply general science classes. The related class section of this study is 4th grade 2 semester of science 4 chapters, 'The Earth and the moon' This section is in fourth grade elementary science curriculum revision in 2009 is a Sections to learn for the first time about astronomical area. Target research group in club activities as part of the creative activities implemented using scientific inquiry and analyzed the results. In addition, in order to better research based on the results of this study as follows. First, the science curriculum in elementary schools, as well as applied research about the creative experience activity classes in other subjects is required. The ongoing research is needed to classes utilizing the characteristics of creative experience activities in several subjects of the elementary school curriculum. Second, Creative experiential learning is only effective when it is done consistently, it is worth studying for long periods of time.

고등학교 생물I의 세포분열, 생식, 수정개념에 대한 오인 분석 (An Analysis of Misconceptions about the Concepts of Cell- division, Reproduction and Fertilization in High School Biology Textbook I)

  • The rectnt studies on the learning of the scientific concepts have suggested that most students have misconceptions related to the contents to be learned and that those misconceptions exert their influences on the subsequent learning of the content Those facts necessitate the identification of the misconceptions before the instructions and the preparation of the instructional materials based on those misconceptions identified. Several studies also revealed that such biological areas as cell division, reproduction and fertilization were ranked among the most difficult areas for high school students to learn. Therefore, this study had its triple objectives as follows: (1) Identification of misconceptions in such areas as cell division, reproduction and fertilization. (2) Investigation of the current high school biology textbook I's as the sources of those misconceptions. (3) Development of teaching materials based on the misconceptions identified and the problems in the textbooks analyzed. This study identified several misconceptions held by high school students of biological concepts related to the conceptual areas of life-continuity, and found the problems in learning of the high school biology textbooks. Based on the misconceptions and the problems, a teaching/learning model and its content material were developed at the final course of this study.

초등학교 3학년 수학 교과서에 제시된 '문장 만들기' 활동에 대한 고찰 (A Note on the 'Sentence Posing' Activities in the Third Grade Mathematics Textbooks)

  • 2007년 개정 교육과정의 초등학교 3, 4, 5, 6학년 수학 교과서에는 '약속'으로 제시된 용어의 수학적 개념을 명확히 이해하는지 확인하기 위하여 '문장 만들기'가 신설되었다. 본 논문은 초등학교 3학년 학생들의 문장 만들기 활동에서 나타난 문제점을 바탕으로 문장 만들기의 역할에 대하여 논의하였다. 논의 결과, 전반적으로 교과서에 제시된 문장 만들기의 역할은 충분히 수행되지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 문장 만들기는 약속으로 제시된 용어를 실생활에서 적절하게 사용할 수 있는지를 확인하는 방안으로 활용되어야 하며, 약속의 개념을 확인하기 위한 역할은 약속의 개념에 따라 선별적으로 적용될 필요가 있었다.

Computational Thinking 역량에 대한 학습자 평가를 위한 스크래치 코드 분석 (Analysis of Scratch code for Student Assessment about Computational Thinking Capability)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 Computational Thinking(CT) 교육에서의 학습자 평가를 위한 방안으로 학습자가 제작한 프로젝트의 코드를 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 최근 초중등 SW교육에서는 블록형 프로그래밍 도구를 활용한 교육이 이루지고 있으므로, 학생들의 산출물인 스크래치 프로젝트의 코드를 분석하여 CT 개념 습득과 학습자의 수준을 평가하는 방안을 모색하였다. 초보학습자 45명의 프로젝트를 분석한 결과 초보학습자들의 잘못된 습관에 대한 패턴이 나타났으며 CT 개념 학습을 코드의 패턴에 의해 평가할 수 있다는 것을 검증하였다. 학습자의 수준이 높을수록 논리적 사고, 동기화, 플로우 제어, 데이터 표현의 요소 점수가 높게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 초중등 SW 교육에서 CT 개념 학습에 대한 평가를 위해 활용할 수 있다.

다중 비유의 사용 방식이 중학생들의 과학 개념 이해에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Presenting Modes of Multiple Analogies on Middle School Students' Understanding of Science)

  • 본 연구에서는 다중 비유의 사용 방식이 중학생들의 과학 개념 이해에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 7학년 학생 127명에게 다중 비유의 사용 방식(비유물의 개수, 비유물과 목표물의 대응 회수, 비유물간 유사성 비교)이 다른 네 가지 유형의 비유 학습 교재 중 하나를 무선 배포하여 읽게 한 후, 개념 검사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 비유물이나 대응 과정을 2번 사용하는 것은 과학 개념의 회상 및 응용에 유의미한 영향을 주지 않았다. 그러나 비유물간의 유사성 비교는 과학 개념 응용에서 유의미한 효과가 있었다. 이에 대한 교육학적 함의를 논의하였다.

  • 오늘날 학생들은 게임 경험을 통해서 선택, 반복, 결정 등과 같은 코딩의 문법적 요소를 이미 체험하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 코딩교육 경험이 없는 학생들의 게임 경험을 바탕으로 프로그래밍 도구인 스크래치를 사용하여 직접 게임을 구성하도록 함으로서 학생들 스스로 게임경험 내용과 논리적이고 문법적인 코딩 개념간의 유사성을 깨닫도록 하였다. 그 결과 학생들의 코딩개념에 대한 이해도 증가, 응용력 및 창의력 상승 그리고 자발적 수업참여도 증진 등의 사례연구를 분석해 본다.

The Effect of Factors such as Changes in the Degree of Difficulty of Concepts Presented in the Chemistry I Textbook, Changes in Class Types, etc. on Academic Achievement by Level

  • We analyzed and compared factors such as changes in the degree of difficulty of concepts presented in Chemistry I textbook, changes in class types (non-face-to-face, face-to-face), etc. on academic achievement by level (upper, middle, and lower). Students from A high school in Gyeongsangnam-do were selected for the subjects of the study. As a result of analyzing the change in the degree of difficulty of concepts, the total score of chemistry I combined by non-face-to-face and face-to-face classes during the second semester was lower than that of the first semester. As a result of analyzing the impact of factors such as changes in conceptual difficulty, changes in class types, etc. on academic achievement by level, students' grades at the 'lower level' by non-face-to-face classes were lower than those by face-to-face classes. In particular, at the lower level of the second semester, there was a large difference in grades between non-face-to-face and face-to-face classes. In the results of these studies, it was found that instructors' active feedback is important to identify difficulties in understanding learning contents for students with low levels of academic achievement and improve them at the same time.

여대생의 건강증진 경험 (Female College Students' Experiences on Health Promotion)

  • Objectives: Many female college students today control their lifestyle not for the purpose to promote their health but to maintain slender figures. The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the lifestyle of female college students from their own perspectives. Methods: Data was collected through interviews of 25 female students and was analyzed by using Colaizzi's descriptive phenomenology(1978). The phenomenon of interest was described, followed by collecting participants' descriptions of the phenomenon and extracting concepts from significant statements. These concepts were then organized into thematic clusters, followed by exhaustive descriptions into which data was applied to extract the final categories. Results: The results were deduced into 226 re-statements, 38 constructed meanings, 23 themes, 11 theme clusters, and 5 categories. The five categories include 'Increased interest in physical health,' 'Selective dietary patterns influenced by lifestyle,' 'Lifestyle formed by social adaptation,' 'Health complications caused by self-body images,' 'Engages in healthy dietary behavior'. Conclusion: This study described the experiences of female college students' lifestyles after completing a course in health promotion. These findings have important implications on health education for college students which should be considered in developing health education programs in preparation for adult years of life.

고등학교 학생들의 문제해결에서 맥락에 따라 활성화되는 지식의 우선순위차이 (Differences in priorities of high school students' knowledge activated in laboratory and earth environmental contexts)

  • Four science concepts were selected from high school science textbook to investigate the differences in priorities of students knowledge activated during solving earth science problems in laboratory and earth science environmental contexts. Two items, one for laboratory context and the other for earth environmental context, were developed for earth selected concept The subjects were constituted of 192 students in 11th grade and 196 in 12th grade in one senior high school. Students' responses were categorized using graph models and analyzed in terms of 'Common Activated Knowledge'(CAK). and 'Specific Activated Knowledge'(SAK) across students' cognitive frames, grades, and sex. As contextual differences of the problems increased, context effects in priorities of CAK were reported in favor of laboratory context, on the contrary those of SAK in favor of earth environmental context. Context effects were reported across cognitive frames, especially students with laboratory cognitive frames showed more significant context effects than others. Lower graders and girls showed relatively large context effects. The results of this study showed that science concepts learned in a laboratory context are not easily transferred to earth environmental context. Therefore, special instructional strategies should be developed to overcome the context effect s according to activated knowledges with high priorities in laboratory and earth environmental context.

수학화 경험 수업에서 나타난 초등학생의 수학적 능력 및 수학화 분석 (The Analysis of Mathematical Abilities and Mathematization in the Mathematising Experience Instruction for Elementary Students)

  • This study, to effectively teach the concepts, principles and problem solving ability of the 2nd graders' learning of numbers and operations, offers realistic problem situation and focuses on the learning based on 'mathematization', one of the most important principles of RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) which is the mathematics education trend of Netherlands influenced by Freudenthal's theory. The instruction is applied to forty-one students of the 2nd grader for six weeks in twelve series in an elementary school, located in Seoul. To investigate the effects of the mathematising experience instruction for improving mathematical abilities, the group takes tests before and after the instruction. Also the qualitative analysis on the students' mathematising aspects through students' output at the instruction process is taken into account to evaluate the instruction's effects. The result shows that the mathematising experience instruction for improving mathematical abilities is proved to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and principles and their problem solving ability in learning numbers and operations after carrying out this instruction. Also the result indicates that students' mathematising aspects are mostly horizontal and vertical mathematization.
