Study on the distribution law and influencing factors of pressure field distribution before exploitation in heavy oilfield

  • A calculation model of reservoir pressure field distribution around multiple production wells in a heavy oil reservoir is established, which can overcome the unreasonable uniform-pressure value calculated by the traditional mathematical model in the multiwell mining areas. A calculating program is developed based on the deduced equations by using Visual Basic computer language. Based on the proposed mathematical model, the effects of drainage rate and formation permeability on the distribution of reservoir pressure are studied. Results show that the reservoir pressure drops most at the wellbore. The farther the distance away from the borehole, the sparser the isobaric lines distribute. Increasing drainage rate results in decreasing reservoir pressure and bottom-hole pressure, especially the latter. The permeability has a significant effect on bottom hole pressure. The study provides a reference basis for studying the dynamic pressure field distribution before thermal recovery technology in heavy oilfield and optimizing construction parameters.

Numerical simulation and analytical assessment of STCC columns filled with UHPC and UHPFRC

  • A nonlinear finite element model (FEM) using ATENA-3D software to simulate the axially compressive behavior of circular steel tube confined concrete (CSTCC) columns infilled with ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) was presented in this paper. Some modifications to the material type "CC3DNonlinCementitious2User" of UHPC without and with the incorporation of steel fibers (UHPFRC) in compression and tension were adopted in FEM. The predictions of utimate strength and axial load versus axial strain curves obtained from FEM were in a good agreement with the test results of eighteen tested columns. Based on the results of FEM, the load distribution on the steel tube and the concrete core was derived for each modeled column. Furthermore, the effect of bonding between the steel tube and the concrete core was clarified by the change of friction coefficient in the material type "CC3DInterface" in FEM. The numerical results revealed that the increase in the friction coefficient leads to a greater contribution from the steel tube, a decrease in the ultimate load and an increase in the magnitude of the loss of load capacity. By comparing the results of FEM with experimental results, the appropriate friction coefficient between the steel tube and the concrete core was defined as 0.3 to 0.6. In addition to the numerical evaluation, eighteen analytical models for confined concrete in the literature were used to predict the peak confined strength to assess their suitability. To cope with CSTCC stub and intermediate columns, the equations for estimating the lateral confining stress and the equations for considering the slenderness in the selected models were proposed. It was found that all selected models except for EC2 (2004) gave a very good prediction. Among them, the model of Bing et al. (2001) was the best predictor.

이산요소법을 이용한 성긴 달토양 수치해석모델 개발 (Development of a Coarse Lunar Soil Model Using Discrete Element Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 이산요소법을 이용하여 성긴 달토양 수치해석모델을 생성하고 그 정확도를 실제 달토양의 물리적 특성과 비교 및 검증한다. 실제 달의 표면은 다수의 분화구와 바위로 구성되어 있고 매우 미세한 건조토양으로 덮여있으므로 달토양 특성은 달착륙선의 착륙안정성을 결정짓는 중요한 인자이다. 따라서 달토양특성을 고려하기 위해 이산요소법을 이용하여 달토양의 수치해석모델을 생성하고 검증한다. 달토양 압입시험 및 직접전단시험을 해석적으로 구현하여 해석용 달토양이 실제 달토양과 유사한 물리적 특성(압입깊이, 점착력, 내부마찰각 등)을 갖는 것을 확인한다. 이렇게 생성한 달토양 모델 위에 single-leg 착륙장치 유한요소모델을 낙하시키는 해석을 통해 착륙장치 스트럿에 가해지는 충격하중을 예측하고 시험결과와 비교하여 제안된 방법의 적절성을 검토한다.

한계상태 Mohr Coulomb 소성 모델을 활용한 콘관입시험의 수치적 모사 (Numerical Simulation of Cone Penetration Tests in Sand Ground Using Critical State Mohr Coulomb Plasticity Model)

  • 본 연구는 사질토 지반에서 수행되는 콘관입시험의 수치적 모사에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 지반은 한계상태 토질역학을 바탕으로 수정된 한계상태 Mohr Coulomb 소성 모델로 모사하였다. 한계상태 Mohr Coulomb 모델에서 팽창각은 상수가 아닌 현재상태와 한계상태 사이의 위상차의 함수로 표현된다. 수치적으로 콘관입시험은 대변위 해석을 요구하며, 이를 Lagrangian 유한요소법으로 해석하기 위해 관입 유도체 개념을 적용한 축대칭 조건 유한요소법을 이용하였다. 캘리브레이션 챔버에서 수행된 콘관입시험을 한계상태 Mohr Coulomb 모델을 이용하여 본 논문에서 제안된 유한 해석 기법을 적용한 결과, 실험 결과와 유사한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Failure characteristics and mechanical mechanism of study on red sandstone with combined defects

  • In this study, the strength and failure mechanism of red sandstones with combined defects were investigated by uniaxial compression tests on red sandstones with different crack angles using two-dimensional particle flow code numerical software, and their mechanical parameters and failure process were studied and analyzed. The results showed that the mechanical characteristics such as peak strength, peak strain, and elastic modulus of the samples with prefabricated combined defects were significantly inferior than those of the intact samples. With increasing crack angle from 15° to 60°, the weakening area of cracks increased, elastic modulus, peak strength, and peak strain gradually reduced, the total number of cracks increased, and more strain energy was released. In addition, the samples underwent initial brittle failure to plastic failure stage, and the failure form was more significant, leading to peeling phenomenon. However, with increasing crack angle from 75° to 90°, the crack-hole combination shared the stress concentration at the tip of the crack-crack combination, resulted in a gradual increase in elastic modulus, peak strain and peak strength, but a decrease in the number of total cracks, the release of strain energy reduced, the plastic failure state weakened, and the spalling phenomenon slowed down. On this basis, the samples with 30° and 45° crack-crack combination were selected for further experimental investigation. Through comparative analysis between the experimental and simulation results, the failure strength and final failure mode with cracks propagation of samples were found to be relatively similar.

유한요소법을 사용한 6 mm 후판의 비대칭 롤포밍 성형변형특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Roll Forming Characteristics of an Asymmetric Roller with a 6 mm Steel Plate using the Finite Element Method)

  • As a novel method to produce a steel beam with 6mm thickness for buildings, a continuous roll forming process is reported. The roll shape is asymmetric and consists of 6 pairs of rollers to bend the steel plate from $0^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$. Results obtained upon application of the roll forming process showed that the angle of the section plate is $90^{\circ}$. However, defects such as bowing and camber as high as 3.2 [$^{\circ}/m$] were observed. A FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis was applied to investigate the causes of the results for the region between rollers no. 5 and no. 6. The results of a FEM simulation of deformation and stress showed that there are some strong peak stresses on the upper surface and bottom surface of the material. The positions of the peak stresses did not show a correspondence between the upper and bottom surfaces. Thus, the defects in the process of roll forming with a 6 mm thick steel plate occur by the unbalanced stresses between the upper surface and bottom surface of the material in this study.

Study on the performance of concrete-filled steel tube beam-column joints of new types

  • In this paper, the influence of axial compression ratio on the mechanical properties of new type joints of side span of rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular column-H-type steel beam is studied. Two new types of side-span joints of rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular column-H-type steel beam are designed and quasi-static tests of five new type joints with 1:2 scale reduction ratios are performed. The axial compression ratio of joint JD1 is 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5, and the axial compression ratio of joint JD2 is 0.3 and 0.5. In the joint test, different axial forces were applied to the top of the column according to different axial compression ratios, and low-cyclic reciprocating load was applied on the beam. The stress and strain distribution, beam and column deformation, limit state, failure process, failure mechanism, stiffness degradation, ductile deformation and energy dissipation capacity of the joint were measured and analyzed. The results show that: with the increase of axial compression ratio, the ultimate bearing capacity of the joint decreases slightly, the plastic deformation decreases, and the stiffness and ductility decrease. According to the energy dissipation curve of the specimen, the equivalent damping coefficient also increases with the increase of axial compression ratio in a certain range, indicating that the increase of axial compression ratio can improve the seismic performance of the joint to a certain extent. The finite element method is used to simulate the joint test, and the test results are in good agreement with the simulation results.

Hygro-thermo-mechanical bending response of FG plates resting on elastic foundations

  • The aim of this work is to study the hygro-thermo-mechanical bending responses of simply supported FG plate resting on a Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundation. The effect transverse shear strains is taken into account in which the zero transverse shear stress condition on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate is ensured without using any shear correction factors. The developed model contains only four unknowns variable which is reduced compared to other HSDTs models. The material properties of FG-plate are supposed to vary across the thickness of the plate according to power-law mixture. The differential governing equations are derived based on the virtual working principle. Numerical outcomes of bending analysis of FG plates under hygro-thermo-mechanical loads are performed and compared with those available in the literature. The effects of the temperature, moisture concentration, elastic foundation parameters, shear deformation, geometrical parameters, and power-law-index on the dimensionless deflections, axial and transverse shear stresses of the FG-plate are presented and discussed.

원통형 복합재료 압력 용기의 기계적 물성 평가를 위한 세그먼트 형 링 버스트 시험 방법 분석 (Analysis of the Segment-type Ring Burst Test Method for the Mechanical Property Evaluation of Cylindrical Composite Pressure Vessel)

  • 복합재료는 높은 비 강성 및 비 강도 특성으로 인해 기체 혹은 액체 연료를 저장하기 위한 압력 용기의 설계 및 제작에 널리 활용되고 있다. 이에 따라, 압력용기의 파열압력 또는 파단 변형률의 기계적 특성의 보다 정확한 측정은 상용화 전에 필수적 요소이다. 그러나, 기존의 시험방법을 활용한 복합재료 압력 용기의 안전성 검증은 하중 전달 매체의 변형으로 인한 추가적인 에너지 손실의 발생과, 불필요한 하중 및 모멘트의 발생 등의 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수직기둥의 이론적인 하중전달 정도와 적용 가능한 수직방향 변위를 고려하여 세그먼트형 링 버스트 시험장치를 설계하였다. 또한, 세그먼트 형 링 버스트 시험장치의 균일한 압력분포를 검증하기 위해 수치해석을 활용하였고, 수압 시험방법과 링 시편의 원주방향 응력 및 변형률 분포를 비교하였다. 복합재료 압력용기의 파괴 거동을 모사하기 위해 Hashin 파손 기준을 적용하였고, 실험적으로 파단 변형률을 측정하여 이를 수치해석 결과와 비교하였다.

다목적 농작업 기계 변속기 부변속 안전율 분석 (Safety Factor Analysis of Range-Shift on Multi-Purpose Agricultural Implement Machinery)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze the safety factor of range-shift gear pairs on multi-purpose agricultural implement machinery for an optimal design of a transmission system. Gear-strengths such as bending and contact stress and safety factors were analyzed under three load conditions: an equivalent engine torque at plow tillage, a rated engine torque, and the maximum engine torque. Root and contact safety factor were calculated to be 3.88, 5.14, 2.24, 2.11, 2.21, 0.99 and 0.78, 0.94, 0.65, 0.68, 0.84, 0.85, respectively, under equivalent engine torque condition at the plow tillage. The root and contact safety factor were calculated to be 1.91, 2.53, 1.10, 1.04, 1.07, 0.48 and 0.55, 0.66, 0.46, 0.48, 0.59, 0.59, respectively, under rated engine torque condition. The root and contact safety factor were calculated to be 1.60, 2.11, 0.92, 0.87, 0.90, 0.40 and 0.51, 0.61, 0.42, 0.44, 0.54, 0.54, respectively, under the maximum engine torque condition. The multi-purpose agricultural implement machinery could be conducted under plow tillage operation. However, gear specifications for tooth surface need modification because the gear surface would be broken at all driving conditions as safety factors are lower than 1.
