In addition, we propose the differentiation strategy for business incubator based on the needs of startups. Methods: In order to carry out the research, we surveyed 216 startups who already have invested in venture capitals and angel investors and currently residing in business incubator and 30 venture capitals and angel investors. Based on survey results, we develop a business incubator capability table matching startup with business incubator. Results: Satisfaction and importance of the supporting programs varied depending on the startup experience and startup lifecycle. As a result, we recommended a R&D center for machinery/material, bio/medical and electric/electronics startups and individual office for ICT and knowledge service startups. In addition, we suggested a differentiation strategy to BI in university specialized for machinery/material, privately operated BI for electric/electronic, (local)government, R&D center and individual office for knowledge service respectively. Conclusion: In this study, business incubator capability table is applied to match startup with business incubator and it could be applied to evaluate the current status of business incubator. Furthermore, it will help to establish a future strategic direction for business incubator.

  • An AP that is used by smart device is going to be complicated because smart devices support diverse functions. As a result, multiple low-level IPs including a dedicated CPU are integrated in a high-level subsystem for supporting complicated function such as multimedia codec and camera. A subsystem has software that executes separately from main system, and the software needs to be initialized for every execution of the subsystem. This causes increase of the subsystem startup time so it should be improved because startup time of subsystem affects launching time of application. Methods in applied to computer system for fast startup also could be applied to fast startup of subsystem because subsystem is similar with computer system. In this paper, we apply snapshot method that is used in computer system to subsystem and analyzes the pros and cons. And snapshot method could not be applied to register of IP without modification because register of IP offers restricted read and write. So this paper suggests technique that applying snapshot to each characteristic of register.

  • Startups are undergoing a change throughout the growth process of startups that appear in existing studies as they move away from the existing B2B or B2C frame and expand their target customer groups to O2O, C2C. In this regard, a new type of startup known as unicorns, a unicorn which has grown rapidly in a short period of time, is being created by successfully attracting government support and external investment in recognition of the potential value of the startup. This study examined the relationship between investment attraction and growth after founding for five representative unicorns in the U.S. and Korea. As a result, it was found that private investment in Korea is passive and defensive, and is attracted after the Series A stage, compared to the U.S., where the growth potential of the startup ecosystem is positively evaluated. In addition, it found that government's support policy throughout the startup's growth process is an abstract and comprehensive policy focusing on initial funding for startups. Therefore, it was suggested that the scope of government policies should be expanded to forster startups as unicorns, and that it is necessary to establish and implement differentiated support policies for each growth of the scale-up of startups. This study is significant in that it presented the criteria for the growth stage and support of startups as well as policy support for scale-up through practical case analysis of unicorns.
