노이즈에 강인한 음악 시작점 검출 알고리즘 (The Noise Robust Algorithm to Detect the Starting Point of Music for Content Based Music Retrieval System)

  • 본 논문에서는 노이즈에 강인한 음악 시작점 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 음악의 시작점 검출은 음악을 이용한 신호처리 시스템에 있어서 일관되지 않은 입력데이터를 통한 계산낭비, 비교검색 등의 문제 해결을 위해 필요한 것이다. 특히 신호처리를 이용한 내용기반 음악검색 시스템에서 시간의 순서로 데이터를 비교하는 시간순차적 검색방법에서는 더욱 필요시 된다. 시간순차적 검색 방법은 시간의 순서로 단순 비교를 수행하기 때문에 검색의 속도가 빠르다는 장점이 있는 반면 비교하는 데이터의 시작 시간이 동일해야 하는 단점이 있다. 하지만 디지털화된 음악은 비트레이트 변환에 의한 시작 시간의 동일함을 보장할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 검색의 전처리 단계에서 음악의 시작점을 검출함으로써 시간순차적 검색 방법을 적용하여 고속의 검색을 수행하면서도 인식률이 낮아지지 않게 하였다. 시작점 검출은 소리를 검출할 수 있는 최소 파형모형을 이용하였으며 노이즈에 강인하기 위하여 묵음에 존재하는 노이즈는 스킵핑을 하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 실험을 통해 시작점 검출을 미적용한 결과보다 약 38% 성능이 향상됨을 확인하였으며 노이즈에 강인함을 검증하였다.

  • A DC railway system has low feeder voltage, The fault current can be smaller than the current of load starting. So it is important to discriminate between the small fault current and the load starting current. The load starting current increases step by step but the fault current increases all at once. So the type of ${\Delta}I$ relay(50F) was developed using the different characteristics between the load starting current and the fault current. As for the load starting current, the time constant of load current at each step is much smaller than that of the fault current. First, to detect faults in DC railway systems, an algorithm using the time constant calculated by the method of least squares is presented in this paper. Secondly, to compose a protection scheme for DC railway systems is presented in this paper.

  • The cold staring issue of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) is a chronic problem in the field of PMSM sensorless drives. A traditional starting method, called the I-F method, is widely adopted because of its simple structure. However, when using this method, the pre-defined magnitude and frequency of the starting current should be changed according to the condition of the load and machine inertia. In this paper, a smart and simple algorithm for the cold starting of PMSM is proposed. In the proposed method, an integrated control angle from the estimated electrical rotor speed is used for vector control such as the indirect vector control of the induction machine. Thus, very stable cold starting is performed regardless of the machine load condition or inertia changing.

  • So far BESS(Battery Energy storage system) has been widely applied to power systems rapidly. Usually it has been used to regulate the renewable energy output and to adjust the power system frequency. In 2013, EPRI has reported a study of utilizing BESS to replace two black start generators of American Electric Power(AEP) that will be demolished. If the BESS can be used as a self-starting generator, it is possible to shorten the long-distance primary transmission line and shorten the restoration time because BESS is capable of the high-speed start and there is no restriction on the installation position. This paper presents a possibility of using BESS as a self-starting generator by using PSCAD/EMTDC in Korean power systems. Herein, the process to estimated the required capacity of BESS is also presented.

대형 하이브리드 트럭용 열전 무시동 공조시스템 성능 연구 (Performance of Non-starting Conditioning System using Thermoelectric Modules for Hybrid Heavy Trucks)

  • To reduce vehicle fuel consumption due to not only driving but also air conditioning, battery-operated non-starting conditioning systems with thermoelectric modules and without mechanical elements like compressors are being manufactured for use by hybrid heavy trucks in the near future. In this study, the voltage and current consumed by a thermoelectric module were measured to determine the required battery power, and the performance of the conditioning system with air temperature, and humidity of the inlet/outlet modules and inside/outside the cabin for a truck, was evaluated using experimental apparatus under actual conditions. The results showed that, the thermoelectric module can be continously operated for about 1.5 h using existing 24 V batteries. The coefficent of performance(COP) of the cooling and heating modes was calculated to be an average 0.8-1.32. As expected, the heating performance was 30% more efficient than the cooling performance, which is general characteristic of thermoelectric modules.

  • Although smoke emitted from ships is not included in IMO(International Maritime Organiztion) regulation yet, it is one of the substance what is polluting mainly the air. Especially, its concentration is very high when an engine is started and a load is rapidly changed. This is caused by unburned fuel what is injected more than necessary quantity after combustion period. It is possible to decrease smoke concentration emitted at starting engine by controlling fuel injection quantity, but it is concerned that time to rated speed must be spent. Then a governor what can reduce the smoke concentration without a loss of time to rated speed is needed. We adopted a electro-hydraulic governor what can control dual fuel start limit function and achieved very low level of smoke concentration without greater the loss of time to rated speed.

  • This report deals with a feeding system of the Coaxal grinding machine, processing optical ferrule. This report also examines the applicability of using the feeding system for the Coaxial grinding machine, by mean of conducting performance estimation. The results are as follow; Repeatability of regulating wheel is $17{\mu}m$, R/W rotation accuracy is between $30\;\~\;40{\mu}m$. This means 'Rotation accuracy' is lower than the concentricity level. Backlash generation level at the feeding system of the grinding wheel is under $1{\mu}m$, thereby positioning accuracy is controlled within $2{\mu}m$ In terms of repeatability, you can find occasional error at the returning process from the starting point. This error is resulted from the measurement tolerance of the starting point sensor. We will get the repeatability level under control by $1{\mu}m$, through improving the soft-ware used and up-grading the sensor at the starting point.

유도성 부하 네트워크의 기동에 의한 순간전압강하 및 기동전류 감쇄를 위한 제어시스템 (A Control System for Attenuating Voltage-Dip and Inrush Current Caused by Starting of Inductive Load Nnetwork)

  • 유도성 부하 네트워크의 기동에 의한 순간전압강하 및 기동전류 감쇄를 위해, TRIAC PWM 모듈과 순차기동시스템으로 구성된 제어시스템을 제안한다. 에어컨 컴프레서와 같은 대용량 유도성 부하의 기동시 발생하는 높은 순간전압강하와 기동전류를 최소화하기 위해 TRIAC PWM 모듈이 개발되었다. 대용량 유도성 부하 네트워크에서 부하의 동시 기동을 방지하는 순차기동시스템을 설계, 제작하였다. 제안된 제어시스템의 시험결과에 따르면, 본 시스템을 적용한 대용량 유도성 부하의 기동에 따른 배전계통의 순간전압강하 및 기동전류가 관련 국제규격을 효과적으로 만족시킬 수 있으며, 유도성 부하들의 동시 기동 문제 또한 효과적으로 해결할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템을 이용하면 최대전력소모량에 근거하여 부과되는 전력비용을 절감하거나, 유도성 부하 네트워크가 연결된 동일 배전 계통의 전력품질 안정화에도 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • The wound induction motor can provide high starting torque and reduced starting current simultaneously by inserting large scale resistor. And this technique is one of the well known methods among the induction motor starting methods and generally used for heavy load starting such as Crain and Cement factories. The conventional PI controller has been widely used in industrial application due to the simple control algorithm and in general, PI controller is used for control of current, torque, position, and speed for the wound induction motor drive system. However, the system may result in poor performance since sensors have to be used, which in turn is limited by the environmental condition. Recently, to overcome these problems, many sensorless vector control methods for the wound induction motor have been studied. This paper presents MRAS method with on-line stator resistance tuning for sensorless vector control of the wound induction motor drive. In conventional MRAS method, in low frequency, stator resistance variation can result in poor performance. Therefore, to overcome several shortages of the conventional MRAS caused by parameter variation and enhance robustness of the sensor less vector control, this paper investigates a MRAS method with on-line stator resistance tuning for sensorless vector control of the wound induction motor. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through digital simulation.

고압 유도전동기의 구동을 위한 소프트-스타터의 대용량 파워스텍 구현 (Implementation of Soft-starter with Large Scale Power Stack for High Voltage Induction Motor Driving)

  • Soft starters are used with large induction motors in blowers, fans, pumps and the crane hoist drives. AC voltage controllers are used as soft starters in induction motors for starting and to adjust its speed. Soft-starter starting system uses phase control method of input electric source through the setting of the thyristor(SCR) firing angle ${\alpha}$, and it can control input electric source stably and continuously from beginning of starting to ending of starting. In this paper, it is verified that power stack of high-voltage with SCR series system possesses dielectric strength and input electric source is controlled stably by phase control. Especially, from the driving experimental of proposed soft-starter operating, a smoothing acceleration and inrush current decrease can be achieved by the series SCR trigger.
