  • How does authenticity influence the process that conducts a company's CSR Strategy? Authenticity, an internal/external alignment condition that an employee feels in relation to an organization, means the decision on how true and beneficial to employees through their experiences, such as thoughts and emotions. Also, it can be understood as a process of meaning formation between the organization's strategy to conduct CSR and the perception of employees conducting CSR. To prove the relation between authenticity and CSR clearly, we used various techniques like Text Mining, Topic Modeling and Semantic network analysis about O corporation's 657 review data, from 2015 to 2021. As a result of the analysis, we find out the special issues and types. The analysis shows that the issue concerning the 'external image' is the biggest characteristic of authenticity perception in other conditions. Furthermore, the types of authenticity perception evaluations are largely divided into acceptance and rejection, in detail, five categories. This study indicates that organizations should consider both external and internal conditions when establishing CSR strategies. In addition, it is necessary to be an interactive circular relationship between the organization and employee, collecting and reflecting employee's perceptions. Finally, this study proposes ways to overcome problems related to interaction.

  • Public conflicts in the port sector can cause additional social costs and delay the supply of port infrastructure, which can negatively affect local industries and national competitiveness. Although the importance of conflict management in the port sector is gradually increasing, there is still no systematic conflict management countermeasure. Therefore, in this study, the limitations of the current conflict management system in the port sector were considered, and a Delphi survey was conducted targeting experts and stakeholders in the port sector and conflict management. In addition, criteria for diagnosing conflicts in the port sector, causes of conflicts, proactive management measures, and ex post solutions were derived. The results of the Delphi survey analysis showed that the biggest causes of conflict were the absence of stakeholder opinion collection, consultation, and communication tools. Preliminary conflict management measures including a public deliberation process to collect local opinions and discuss development directions before deciding on specific issues, and ex post conflict resolution measures including investigation of causes of conflicts and objective personnel management in the process of preparing alternatives (e.g., securing reliability) were determined as the most important factors. In addition, based on the results obtained in this study, conflict management techniques for each phase of the port development project were presented. These findings are expected to be used as a useful reference material to reflect the port sector, which has not been included in the "Public Institution Conflict Management Manual (2016)" of the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

  • Objectives: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential means for protecting workers against hazardous agents or risks that threaten their safety and health. Governmental organizations related to safety and health in the workplace regulate the PPE rules to protect workers and to minimize damage from hazardous agents. This study discussed current PPE rules overseen by the Korea Ministry of Environment and explores future perspectives on the matter. Methods: This study was based on a review of PPE regulations with which every stakeholder should comply in the workplace. Both South Korean regulations enforced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Environment and cases from other countries were reviewed. Results: Regulations related to the PPE required for handling chemical substances in the workplace are enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Enforcement Decree, Enforcement Rules, and Notification of Protective Equipment Certification under the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The Ministry of Environment also regulates the PPE standards for 97 substances requiring preparation for accidents and adjustment of work conditions, but a recent amendment (partially amended on September 30, 2022) loosened some unreasonable or excessive provisions. It requires workers simply to carry or otherwise keep PPE handy instead of wearing it for some tasks in which hazardous chemicals are not handled directly. Conclusions: It is important to regularly review provisions that need to be improved or supplemented to help all stakeholders. Considerations should be also made to build a reasonable regulatory system that can induce more mature safety management in each workplace.

The most important differences of past researches are firstly the dynamic viewpoint rather than a static one. Secondly it suggests that the relation between the central characteristics of districts and the floating population would exist. Lastly, it suggests that the interaction between both of them have a significant effect on the growth or decline of the districts and the rates of business type, other adjacent commercial districts as well. • This study identified cooperative governance status and performance and proposed policy implications for the local tourism association, which participated by a variety of stakeholders. This study is a case study and in-depth interview survey was conducted on the staff, members of the local tourism association and local government officers. As a result of the analysis, the community's desire to foster tourism and the county head's leadership influenced the establishment process. It was analyzed that the interests of participants in the local tourism association and the benefits they expected were varied. Members have been unable to participate in the operation of the association and the mutual exchanges of the members have not been active. The leadership and professionalism of the Secretariat has contributed to stabilizing the organization, and it has been shown that it needs to secure self-sustaining power through its own profit projects in the future. The Goryeong Tourism Association serves as a private local tourism promotion organization, carrying out the successful hosting of the festival and attracting tourists. In the future, however, it is necessary to strengthen cooperative networks, autonomous participation of stakeholders and cooperative coordination of interests in relation to the operation of tourism councils as collaborative governance.

  • In order to embrace open research commons, this study looked at the requirements that researchers have for research data platforms. A survey questionnaire was developed using the results of Australian ARDC and European EOSC case studies. The questionnaire addressed five main areas: the need for research data commons, analysis tools, computing resources, consumption of research data, and general respondent characteristics. To determine the requirements for research data platforms, an analysis was conducted on the responses provided by 550 potential platform users. The findings demonstrated that more than 85% of participants concurred on the significance of open research commons. Additionally, there was a high willingness to use research data (77%), analysis tools (84%), share research data (92%), analysis tools (93%), and computing resources (93%) if commons services were provided. The results of this study show that there is a significant demand for open research commons among researchers. Discussions on research data commons are still hard to come by in Korea's research data services sector, though. Research on a range of subjects, such as subject areas, stakeholder characteristics, and real users of commons platforms, need be conducted in the future.

  • Recently, the aging of SME managers has emerged as a major issue in business succession. The smooth succession of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the industrial base of Korea, is becoming an important issue for enhancing the vitality of the national economy, such as job creation, beyond mere discussion of inheritance. At this point, this study conducted an empirical analysis on the factors affecting corporate succession intention. As independent variables, corporate Capability consisting of employee competency, marketing competency, and digital competency, human factors such as managers, successors, and third-party stakeholders, and institutional factors such as legislation, taxation, and trust were set. In addition, the effect of adjusting the sales scale was verified. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting representatives who are currently running small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The total number of valid questionnaires was 315. Based on this, an empirical analysis was conducted using the hierarchical regression method. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, marketing competency and digital competency, managerial competency and successor competency, taxation and trust had a significant positive (+) effect on corporate succession intention. However, a significant influence relationship between the third stakeholder, employee competency, and corporate succession intention was not tested. Among the factors that have a significant impact, the size of the influence was in the order of taxation, successor competency, executive competency, trust, marketing competency, and digital competency. Second, the size of sales was found to moderate the relationship between the variables that had a significant effect on corporate succession intention, that is, management competency, successor competency, marketing competency, digital competency, taxation and trust, and corporate succession intention. Based on these research results, academic, practical, and institutional implications for smooth business succession are presented.
