Analysis of Channel Capacity for Spread Spectrum Watermarking Systems (대역확산 워터마킹 시스템의 채널용량 분석)

  • In this paper, we derive and analyze the channel capacity of the spread spectrum watermarking (SSW) system as an information-theoretic point of view in closed-form approximation formula in order to analyze the effect of the wireless multipath/shadowing channel. It is important to analyze the channel capacity to transmit an additive data through existing wireless channel by the SSW system. From the results, we confirm that the channel capacity of the SSW system can be determined by the HWR, WNR, PN length and host sampling frequency. Also, we verified that the variation of the channel capacity when the SSW system applied to Nakagami-m fading and Log-normal shadowing channel. The results of this paper can be applied to general spread spectrum watermarking system.

An enhanced Spread Spectrum Watermarking Algorithm based on Ordering Map (순서 맵에 기반한 개선된 주파수 확산 워터마킹)

  • Nowadays, it is popular to use the spread spectrum watermarking algorithm for still image. But there is high error probability of the retrieved watermark in the spread spectrum owing to the correlation between image and spreaded watermark sequence. In this paper, two methods are proposed. One is Ordering Map Method and the other is Alteration of Image. Based on pixel value, the order by which the spreaded watermark bits is embedded is created in Ordering Map Method. By the covariance function between image and the spreaded sequence, image is altered in Alteration of Image. Hence, bit error of retrieved watermark is clearly reduced to zero by this two method.

  • This paper presents robust and efficient scene-based video watermarking method using visual rhythm (spatio-temporal slice) in compressed domain. Scene change can be detected easily using visual rhythm and video sequences are conveniently edited at the scene boundaries. Therefore, scene-based watermark embedding Process it a natural choice. Temporal spread spectrum can be achieved by applying spread spectrum methods to visual rhythm. Additive Gaussian noise, low-pass filtering, median filtering and histogram equalization attack are simulated for all frames. Frame sub-sampling is also simulated as a typical video attack Simulation results show that proposed algorithm is robust and efficient in the presence of such kind of attacks.

  • In this paper, we proposed the high quality digital audio watermarking algorithm in the frequency domain. The spread spectrum technique is used to encrypted a stream of information by spreading the data as much of the frequency spectrum as possible. It's technique adapt well to data hiding in audio signal. We have used the perceptual model and MDCT/IMDCT for the high qualify digital audio watermarking. The proposed watermark algorithm preserved high quality audio data from watermark signal.

  • In this paper we proposed a video watermarking algorithm based on a three dimension discrete wavelet transform (3D DWT) and direct spread spectrum (DSS). In the proposed method, the information watermark is embedded into followed frames, after sync watermark is embedded into the first frame. Input frames are divided into sub frames which are located odd row and even row. The sub frames are arranged as 3D frames, and transformed into 3D wavelet domain. In this domain the watermark is embedded using DSS. Existing video watermarking using 3D DWT is non-blind method but, proposed algorithm uses blind method. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is robust against frame cropping, noise addition, compression, etc. acquiring BER of 10% or below and sustains level of 40dB or above on the average.

  • Digital Watermarking is a research area which aims at hiding secret information in digital multimedia content such as images, audio, and video. In this paper, we propose a new watermarking method with visually recognizable symbols into the digital images using wavelet transform, spread spectrum method and multilevel threshold value in considering the wavelet coefficients. The information of watermark can be extracted by subtracting wavelet coefficients with the original image and the watermarked image. The results of this experiment show that the proposed algorithm was superior to other similar watermarking algorithms. We showed Watermarking algorithm in JPEG lossy compression, resizing, LSB(Least Significant Bit) masking, and filtering.

  • In this paper, we proposed a video watermarking algerian based on wavelet transform using statistical characteristic of video according to the energy distribution and the spread spectrum technique. In the proposed method, the original video is splitted by spatial difference metric and classified into the motion region and the motionless region according to the motion degree. The motion region is decomposed into 3-levels using 3D DWT and the motionless region is decomposed into 2-levels using 2D DWT The baseband of the wavelet-decomposed image is not utilized because of the image quality. So that the standard deviation of the highest subband coefficients except for the baseband is used to determine the threshold. Binary video watermarks preprocessed by the random permutation and the spread spectrum technique are embedded into selected coefficients. In computer experiments, the proposed algorithm was found to be more invisible and robust than the conventional algorithms.

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid watermarking algorithm for MPEG bitstream. Hybrid watermarking technique uses Spread Spectrum technique for I-frame and Motion Vector technique for P, B-frame. Thus, it enables all MPEG frame to be watermarked. By applying above technique, it is possible not only to protect intellectual property right but also to be robust to all kinds of attacks. And this scheme requires partial decoding of MPEG bitstream, so it can be applied to real time watermarking applications.

  • We propose new identification method of LED location in indoor environment. It can transmit and receive position information and additional data, as applying OOK-SS watermarking method for LED transmission signal. Especially, we use a unipolar form code for watermarking spread code, because LED signal has unipolar characteristic. we analysis LED signal influence and interference with watermarking code, demonstrate usefulness of LED-ID using OOK-SS Watermarking.
