  • In this paper, a preconditioned mixed-type splitting iterative method for solving the linear systems Ax = b is presented, where A is a Z-matrix. Then we also obtain some results to show that the rate of convergence of our method is faster than that of the preconditioned AOR (PAOR) iterative method and preconditioned SOR (PSOR) iterative method. Finally, we give one numerical example to illustrate our results.

  • In this paper, a new fast voronoi divider for vector quantization (VQ) is introduced, which results from Theorem that the nearest vectors in the sense of minimum mean square error(MMSE) have almost the same mean values of their elements. An improved splitting method for a VQ codebook design using the fast voronoi divider is also presented. Experimental results show that the new method reduces the complexity of training a VQ codebook several times with a high signal to noise ratio(SNR) using an appropriate extensive parameter of codebook.

점전하 모형에 의한 10Dq 에서의 배치간 작용의 영향 (The Effect of the Configuration Interaction on 10Dq in a Point Charge Model)

  • Octahedral symmetry 를 지닌 리간드에 의한 영향 아래있는 하나의 d전자를 갖는 금속 착물을 대상으로, 결정장 분리계수 10Dq를 결정장이론에 의하여 이론적으로 계산하였다. 점전하 모형을 쓰되, Shull-Lowdin 함수를 사용하여 배치간 작용을 고려하고, Integral Hellmann-Feynman Theorem을 써서 고차섭동의 영향을 추출하였다. 고차섭동의 영향이 일차섭동의 약 $50{\%}$가 됨을 알았다. Octahedral potential에 의해 3d 함수의 각 성분의 변화가 없고, $E_g\;와\;T_{2g}$상태에서, 동경성분의 변화가 일정하므로 10Dq는 유일한 파라미터로 남을 것이라는 결론을 얻었다.

  • This paper deals with the classifying spaces of finite groups. To any finite group G we associate a space BG with the property that .pi.$_{1}$(BG)=G, .pi.$_{i}$ (BG)=0 for i>1. BG is called the classifying space of G. Consider the problem of finding a stable splitting BG= $X_{1}$$^{V}$ $X_{1}$$^{V}$..$^{V}$ $X_{n}$ localized at pp. Ideally the $X_{i}$ 's are indecomposable, thus displaying the homotopy type of BG in the simplest terms. Such a decomposition naturally splits $H^{*}$(BG). The main purpose of this paper is to give the classification theorem in stable homotopy theory for groups with periodic cohomology i.e. cyclic Sylow p-subgroups for p an odd prime and to calculate some universal stable element. In this paper, all cohomology groups are with Z/p-coefficients and p is an odd prime.prime.

동압 계수의 불연속성을 이용한 내면파의 수치해석 (Internal Wave Computations based on a Discontinuity in Dynamic Pressure)

  • Internal waves are computed using a ghost fluid method on an unstructured grid. Discontinuities in density and dynamic pressure are captured in one cell without smearing or oscillations along a multimaterial interface. A time-accurate incompressible Navier-Stokes/Euler solver is developed based on a three-point backward difference formula for the physical time marching. Artificial compressibility is introduced with respect to pseudotime and an implicit method is used for the pseudotime iteration. To track evolution of an interface, a level set function is coupled with the governing equations. Roe's flux difference splitting method is used to calculate numerical fluxes of the coupled equations. To get higher order accuracy, dependent variables are reconstructed based on gradients which are calculated using Gauss theorem. For each edge crossing an interface, dynamic pressure is assigned for a ghost node to enforce the continuity of total pressure along the interface. Solitary internal waves are computed and the results are compared with other computational and experimental results.
