  • Chen and Piccinni [7] have classified all compact surfaces in a Euclidean space $R^{2+p}$ with 1-type generalized Gauss map. Being motivated by this result, the purpose of this paper is to consider the Lorentz version of the classification theorem and to obtain a complete classification of space-like surfaces in indefinite Euclidean space $R_{p}$ $^{2+p}$ with 1-type generalized Gauss map.p.

  • In the Galilean space G3, we study a special kind of tube surfaces, called tube-like surfaces. They are defined by sweeping a space curve along another central space curve. In this setting, we investigate some equations in terms of Gaussian and mean curvatures, showing some relevant theorems. Our theoretical results are illustrated with some plotted examples.

  • We study helicoidal surfaces with the non-degenerate third fundamental form in Minkowski 3-space. In particular, we mainly focus on the study of helicoidal surfaces with light-like axis in Minkowski 3-space. As a result, we classify helicoidal surfaces satisfying an equation in terms of the position vector field and the Laplace operator with respect to the third fundamental form on the surface.

  • In this work, we study time-like and space-like surfaces invariant by a group of translation isometries of the half-space model ℋ31 of the anti-de Sitter space ℍ31 . We determine all such surfaces with constant mean curvature and constant Gaussian curvature. We also obtain umbilical surfaces of ℋ31.

  • In this paper, we investigate the surfaces of revolution with light-like axis satisfying some equation in terms of a position vector field and the Laplacian with respect to the non-degenerate third fundamental form in Minkowski 3-space. As a result, we give some special example of the surfaces of revolution with light-like axis.

  • In this paper, we study surfaces in 3-dimensional Minkowski space in terms of certain type of their Gauss map. We give several results on these surfaces whose Gauss map G satisfies ${\square}G=f(G+C)$ for a smooth function f and a constant vector C, where ${\square}$ denotes the ChengYau operator. In particular, we obtain classification theorems on the rotational surfaces in ${\mathbb{E}}^3_1$ with space-like axis of rotation in terms of type of their Gauss map concerning the Cheng-Yau operator.

  • It is well known that there exist no closed minimal surfaces in a 3-dimensional Euclidean space R$^{3}$. Myers [4] generalized the result to the case of the higher dimension and proved that there are no closed minimal hypersurfaces in an open hemisphere. The complete and non-compact version concerning Myers' theorem is recently considered by Cheng [1] and the following theorem is proved.

  • A three dimensional FE mesh generation scheme based on mapping approach is proposed in this study. A volume in Euclcdian space is represented by composite hyperpatches which are piecewise cubic functions with parameters u,v,w. A key idea in the proposed approach is that sampled grid data points only on the boundary surfaces are needed for the shape representation. Inner points which are necessary of form a hyperpatch are internally generated by Coons patches. This approach is most appropriate for the shapes which are compositions of hexahedron-like shapes and also severely curved.
