In this paper, the probabilistic relations of dual morphological operations, such as dilation and erosion, closing and opening, and close- open and open-close, and the statistical properties for a continuous stationary lst order Gauss-Markov source are analyzed. The result is that the dual filters have symmetrical means and skews, and equal variances. Also, the statistics of morphological filters are very similar with those of input source, as correlation coefficient increases.

The numerical evaluation of Rayleigh's integral for the sound source reconstruction can be speeded up by the use of angular frequency propagation method and the FFT. However, are several source of errors involved during the reconstruction. Besides the aliasing error due to undersampling in space, the wrap around error. which is caused by undersampling the kernel functionin frequency domain, and windowing effect are present. We found that there is no replicated source problem and the windowing effect is due to the windowing the kernel function In frequency domain, and, xero padding is always required to improve the quality of reconstruction.

Trichloroethylene, which is one of the representative DNAPL, has been found in underground water sources as a result of the manufactural use, and disposal of the chemical. In this research, in situ air sparging method was chosen to reduce the TCE concentration from the source zone. The concentration reduction in the source zone resulting from air sparging is simulated using the modified STOMP Water-Air operational mode in a two dimensional axisymmetric domain and bench scale test is conducted to analyze the performance of air sparging. The results of laboratory tests are compared with numerical simulations.

Detailed analysis of the commutation circuit of the proposed wide-frequency current source inverter is given. In this inverter a spike-limit circuit and a precommutation circuit are used. The spike-limit circuit is intended to limit spike voltage which is arising during commutation time in a current source inverter, and the precommutation circuit to reuse the energy which flows from main inverter to spike-limit circuit during commutation time to aid commutation. Thus voltage stress of main thyristor is minimized. Since this inverter can be made up of thyristors for phase control, it has some advantage in high voltage and high power application.

This paper presents a performance analysis of typical Auxiliary Resonant Commutation Snubber-assisted three phase voltage source soft switching inverter which can operate under a condition of Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) using a digital control scheme which is suitable for high power applications compared with resonant DC link snubber assisted soft switching inverter. The system performances of this inverter are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of experimental results.

In this study, the operation(heating) period of heat source(boiler) machineries in apartment building for periodic heat load analysis has been established by investigating their heat source machineries actural operation period, energy consumption, the capacity of heat source machineries, and their building element. This paper proposes a new two-stage Z-source converter (TSZC). The purpose of the proposed system is to obtain the ac voltage with a maximum boost voltage for fuel cell applications as a renewable energy source. In order to provide a continuous current path, a switching strategy for the dc-ac ZSI and ac-ac ZSC of the proposed system was used. The operation principle, analysis and simulation results of 1.2 kW fuel cell stack were also presented.

Recently, the unipolar gate power source is preferred in inverter system because of cost reduction reason. In this case, designer uses 0V source for turning-off the switching devices instead of negative voltage at Vee source. If the gate driver circuit has some stray inductance, the gate voltage would happen a surge voltage. This paper analyzes that of stray inductance effect during the switching behavior in the circuit and the proposed solutions were verified by pulse test.
