  • In this study, I research about extensions and changes of user experience by using smartphone from the point of conceptual metaphor based on embodied cognition and the remediation characteristics. The result of this study is as follow; The first, container schema and path schema as center image schema of the conceptual metaphor are a proper theories to be mapped user experience by using smartphone because of including embodied schema structure by human physical experience. The second, user experience of smartphone in the point of remediation is remediated by smartphone. And physical space is rededicated and interacted to behavior space by the user experience. The third, the conceptual metaphor of smartphone UX activate container chema through implicit interaction and has transparent immediacy to ingenerate existence of media. The forth, path schema that is activated from explicit interaction makes users to experience hypermediacy. Conceptual metaphor and remediation in this study could be used to theoretical framework and to explain new user experience from using smartphone.

  • What follows in this research is the examination of the consumer motives that lead to the usage of smartphones, how the consumers can be categorized by such motives, and how each category of consumers behave differently when using their smartphones. The finding of this research is as follows. First, the result of factor analysis showed that there are four underlying dimensions in consumers. Second, The result showed that consumer can be categorized into three different types, "Other conscious consumers", "Consumers with no specific motives", and "Function pursuing consumers". Third, multi-regression analyses were performed to identify variables that impacted consumers' satisfaction and technostress in the use of smartphone consumers.

  • This study investigates the relationships between smartphone addiction, stress and resilience in university students. A total of 241 students attending a four-year university in South Jeolla Province participated in this research. Data was collected from July 6 until August 31, 2017. The results of this study showed a positive correlation between smartphone addiction and stress (r=.37, p<.001), as well as a negative correlation between smartphone addiction and resilience (r=-.32, p<.001) and a negative correlation between smartphone addiction and the ability of interpersonal relations (r=.-21, p=.001). The variables for smartphone addiction where "academic problems" (${\beta}=.15$, p=.047) and "the ability of interpersonal relations" (${\beta}=-.21$, p=.007), with a coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of 22.1%. Therefore, there is a need to develop a systematic approach to prevent smartphone addiction in university students.

  • In this paper, our goal is to examine the factors related to smartphone users' usage addiction. Based on existing literature on mobile usage behavior and addiction, we developed and tested a theoretical model and hypotheses, analyzing how variables based on the characteristics of smartphones affect smartphone usage addiction and how smartphone usage addiction affects social withdrawal. Given the literature review, a questionnaire survey was conducted; and the PLS(Partial Least Square), a kind of SEM(Structural Equation Model), was used to analyze and test the research model and hypotheses. The research results indicated that smartphone users' self-monitoring, loneliness, and smartphone characteristics affect users' usage addiction. Further, smartphone users' usage addiction affects their social withdrawal. Finally, theoretical and practical implications of these findings and directions for future research were discussed.

  • As various features of the smartphone have been used, a lot of information have been stored in the smartphone, including the user's personal information. However, a frequent update of the operating system and applications may cause a loss of data and a risk of missing important personal data. Thus, the importance of data backup is significantly increasing. Many users employ the backup feature to store their data securely. However, in the point of forensic view these backup files are considered as important objects for investigation when issued hiding of smartphone or intentional deletion on data of smartphone. Therefore, in this paper we propose a scheme that analyze structure and restore data for Kies backup files of Samsung smartphone which has the highest share of the smartphone in the world. As the experimental results, the suggested scheme shows that the various types of files are analyzed and extracted from those backup files compared to other tools.

The survey was administered to 261 college students in J city from December 16th to 23rd, 2016. The structured self-administered questionaries were used. The multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the factors with explanatory powers of 52% on Smartphone Addiction Level included physical activity changes, sleep disorders, the self control about self factors, the impulsion of emotional factors. With the analysis of covariance structure, we could confirm the relationship among the four factors such as stress, self factor, emotional factor and Smartphone Addiction Level. The results of the study indicate that the efforts to manage stress, self factors and emotional factors, are required to reduce the Smartphone Addiction Level of the college students. The results are expected to be useful for the development of programs and policy to decrease the Smartphone Addiction Level. A survey was conducted in the Seoul and Gyeonggi of 300 mothers having children from two to six years old. The results showed that MSD was directly related to both CSD and children's problem behavior, and in particular, had greater effects than CSD on children's problem behavior. CSD was found to mediate the relationship between MSD and children's problem behavior. The results suggest that mothers and their children should be provided with education on the proper usage of smartphone to prevent problem behavior in children, and that the development of preventive programs for smartphone addiction is needed.
