  • This study aims to compare the hardness value development characteristics according to the water-cement ratio during a series of experiments to develop a setting estimator for an AI-based concrete finishing automation system. For the test variables, water-cement ratios are varied with 30, 40 and 50%. Proctor penetration test and surface hardness test by setting time estimator are conducted to estimate the setting time. For the effect of water-cement ratios, they did not affect the surface hardness either, while initial set time and final set time are not constant with water-cement ratios.

  • This study is conducted to identify improvements in the setting time estimation system through the Mock-up test of the finishing automation system and the setting estimation system. As a result of the study, it is necessary to adjust the spring strength of the setting time estimator and the diameter and length of the estimation needle so that the value of the hardness can be measured from 15HD to around 40HD.

  • Tong and Wang's estimator (2005) is a new approach to estimate the error variance using least squares method such that a simple linear regression is asymptotically derived from Rice's lag- estimator (1984). Their estimator highly depends on the setting of a regressor and weights in small sample sizes. In this article, we propose a new approach via a local quadratic approximation to set regressors in a small sample case. We estimate the error variance as the intercept using a ridge regression because the regressors have the problem of multicollinearity. From the small simulation study, the performance of our approach with some existing methods is better in small sample cases and comparable in large cases. More research is required on unequally spaced points.

  • It is known that collinearity among the explanatory variables in generalized linear models inflates the variance of maximum likelihood estimators. A ridge-type estimator is presented using penalized likelihood. A method for choosing a shrinkage parameter is discussed and this method is based on a prediction-oriented criterion, which is Mallow's $C_L$ statistic in a linear regression setting.

  • As part of the study on the development of the setting time estimation system, this study attempted to confirm the change in hardness values for each influencing factor variable and secure its reliability. According to the research results of this paper, the hardness value of the setting time estimation system tended to gradually decrease in the case of the hardness value of the closing time by curing temperature, and the hardness value increased in the concrete state compared to mortar. Therefore, further research on influencing factors will be conducted in consideration of material and statistical factors in the future.

  • This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of estimating the setting time and compressive strength in Ternary Blended Concrete(TBC) using Settimeter, Strength meter, and Hybrid meter. It was determined that the hardness values at the initial setting time and final setting time of Settimeter, Hybrid meter, and at the 5 MPa of Strength meter were not affected by the mixing ratio of TBC. However, future studies need to consider the errors caused by the instability of the measurement surface during condensation and the state of the measurement surface after hardening.

  • In the previous study, durometer, namely rubber hardness tester Was used to confirm the possibility of using the setting time of concrete for determination. in this study, the possibility of using condensation time judgment condensation estimation system by comparing the measuring station setting estimation system Measuring needle of the proctor penetration resistance tester by newly making a measurement needle and refining the coagulation estimation system Want to make sure. As a result of this study, it was possible to use one condensation estimation system showing similar correlation between the two types of durometer showing high correlation with the penetration resistance value of proctor testers, It is considered to be fruitful to use the dew condensation estimation system for determining the setting time.

  • In this paper, we derived a closed-form equation of a Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE) estimator for the 3 dimensional estimation of the position of the emitter based on the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) technique. The BLUE derived for the case of estimating 3 dimensional position of the emitter with 4 base stations or sensors, and for this purpose, we used an approximated equation of the TDOA hyperbola equation obtained from the first order Taylor-series after setting the reference points of the position. The derived equation can be used for any kind of noises which are uncorrelated in each other in the TOA measurement noises and for a white Gaussian noise also.

  • When the loss of samples appears under repeated surveys, new samples can often replace missing values. Estimators using response probability can be considered under repeated surveys on two occasions where new samples are selected instead of missing data on the second occasion. We propose a new estimator that uses both respondents and new samples on the second occasion. It is considered for the simulation setting that missing values can happen at the second occasion and are replaced by new samples. We can see that the proposed estimator is more efficient than that using a weighting adjustment method for respondents at the second occasion.
