  • This paper studied the effects of risk cognition of personal information and self-expression information on conation of privacy protection. In the first study, 88 college students who volunteered for this research were surveyed about risk cognition of personal information and conation to protect it. In the second study, after an information-seeking expert collected and organized the self-expression information that 88 volunteers had expressed on SNS, and then showed the organized self-expression information to 88 volunteers, and then 88 volunteers were surveyed about risk cognition of self-expression information and conation to protect it. As results of the first data analysis, the risk cognition of personal information had the greatest influence on non-disclosure of personal information, followed by reduction of the disclosure scope and law institutionalization requirement. As results of the second data analysis, SNS users openly expressed their opinion or life-style, but when they realized that self-expression information can be accumulated and become sensitive information, they had conation to protect their self-expression information such as non-disclosure, reduction of disclosure scope, and law institutionalization requirement. The implication of this study is that we have overcome the limitations of existing researches that can not explain information protection behavior on SNS.

  • In this paper, we present an approach that is able to reconstruct 3 dimensional metric models from un-calibrated images acquired by a freely moved camera system. If nothing is known of the calibration of either camera, nor the arrangement of one camera which respect to the other, then the projective reconstruction will have projective distortion which expressed by an arbitrary projective transformation. The distortion on the reconstruction is removed from projection to metric through self-calibration. The self-calibration requires no information about the camera matrices, or information about the scene geometry. Self-calibration is the process of determining internal camera parameters directly from multiply un-calibrated images. Self-calibration avoids the onerous task of calibrating cameras which needs to use special calibration objects. The root of the method is setting a uniquely fixed conic(absolute quadric) in 3D space. And it can make possible to figure out some way from the images. Once absolute quadric is identified, the metric geometry can be computed. We compared reconstruction image from calibrated images with the result by self-calibration method.

  • This study focuses on the fact that the awareness of problems concerning self-reflection has not been sufficiently addressed in the realm of Library and Information Science, although it has an important effect on the professional development and individual maturity of librarians. Recent research on self-reflection, which is only at the beginning stages of study, has brought up the need for additional and more in-depth analyses of factors that influence self-reflection. This study on the progress of overall research will show the current status and definition of librarians' self-reflection. The study will also illuminate and make suggestions to help direct future research along the lines of librarians' self-reflection and corresponding educational requirements.

  • Purpose The study analyzed the factors affecting continuance use and self-disclosure in the SNS(social networking service) context based on a dual-factor model. As SNS users have concerned privacy for a long time, privacy concern affects continuous use and self-disclosure. In details, concern over privacy may have a stronger effect on self-disclosure than on continuance use as users' personal information can be more exposed during posting their dailies and photos. Design/Methodology/Approach SNS benefits, trust in SNS providers, and social influence are served as the key enablers and privacy concern as the inhibitor. Moreover, the relative impacts of SNS benefits and privacy concern on continuance use and self-disclosure were analysed in this study. From the data of 327 Facebook users, the researchers tested proposed theoretical model by using PLS. Findings Users' continuance intention and self-disclosure behavior are differently affected by different antecedents. Trust in SNS provider had a significant effect on self-disclosure intention, while it has no significant effect on continuance intention. Concern over privacy was negatively related to self-disclosure intention, while it was positively associated with continuance intention.

  • These days, the business environment such as Information Technology (IT) is rapidly changing, and organizations are consistently trying to change themselves for the survival and success under the changing environment. In this situation, change management is very important because it draws the change behaviors of organization members for the success of organizational change. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the organization members' psychological factors on the performance of the acquisition of new IT, which is one of the most important organizational change. Based on previous studies in the area of organizational change, organization members' resistance to change, self-congruity theory, change activities and organizational performance, the research model is developed for validating the effect of organization members' self-congruity on the performance of the acquisition of new IT. Statistical analyses show that self-congruity has a significant effect on the change activities. In particular, private self-congruity has more impact on the change activities than public self-congruity. In addition, self-leadership, rewards and recognitions, and the diffusion of change activities have significant effects on job satisfaction. Self-leadership has a significant effect on organizational commitment.

  • This study examined the mediating effects of self-efficacy on the relationships between digital information literacy and life satisfaction among the elderly. For this study, data were gathered from 396 adults over the age of 60 years in a welfare center for senior citizens in D Metropolitan City. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to verify the mediating effects of self-efficacy on the relationship between digital information literacy and life satisfaction of the elderly. The analysis showed that the digital information literacy and self-efficacy were positively correlated. Moreover, higher digital information literacy had a positive effect on self-efficacy. Furthermore, the level of information literacy using digital devices had a positive effect on their life satisfaction. Therefore, the satisfaction of life in old age is increased by the medium of self-efficacy. Based on these findings, several measures for improving digital information literacy were discussed.

  • People can differently act online than in real-life. Their virtual identities may allow them to express themselves more freely. In this perspective, there is a self-discrepancy between virtual- and real-life. Due to the anonymity, people can feel free to express who actually they are online without considering social pressure. Especially, for those people who live in a repressed society, virtual-selves can play a significant role to achieve their well-being. For this reason, a self-discrepancy between actual- and virtual-self related to well-being was studied. With 183 survey responses, political freedom, extraversion and neuroticism are identified as significant influencers of subjective well-being (SWB). In addition, an increase in self-discrepancy between virtual- and real-life for 'unhappy' people leads to an increased online well-being, which is contradictory to Higgins' self-discrepancy theory.

  • This study aimed to analyse the effects of self-control and impulsiveness of college students on smart phone addition and whether self-esteem has mediating effects on them. For the purposes, this study interviewed 4-year college students in Gwangju City with the use of a questionnaire and 314 copies of the responses were used for a final analysis. The data collected was analysed with the use of SPSS 22.0 and the results are presented as follows: First, behavior impulsiveness has a positive effect on self-esteem and smart phone addiction. Second, self-esteem had a positive effect on smart phone addiction. Third, it was discovered that behavior impulsiveness had a positive effect on smart phone addiction through an analysis of mediating effects while self-esteem had an indirect effect on it. Therefore, it was suggested that more care should be paid on smart phone addiction and development of programs against it should be facilitated.
