This research project aimed at evaluating experimentally the effect of natural perlite powder as an alternative supplementary cementing material (SCM) on the performance of fiber reinforced self-consolidating repair mortars (FR-SCRMs). For this purpose, four FR-SCRMs mixes incorporating 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% of natural perlite powder as cement replacements were prepared. The evaluation was based on fresh (slump flow, flow time, and unit weight), hardened (air-dry unit weight, compressive and flexural strengths, dynamic modulus of elasticity), and durability (water absorption test) performances. The results reveal that structural repair mortars confronting the performance requirements of class R4 materials (European Standard EN 1504-3) could be designed using 10%, 20%, and 30% of perlite powder as cement substitutions. Bonding results between repair mortars containing perlite powder and old concrete substrate investigated by the slant shear test showed good interlocking justifying the effectiveness of these produced mortars.
The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between parents' adult attachment, resilience, and psychological well-being, as it is inferred that infants and toddlers attending daycare centers will be directly or indirectly affected by their parents' adult attachment type. For this study, a total of 247 copies of the SPSS 12.0 statistical program were used for analysis, except for 43 copies where data were omitted after a questionnaire was conducted on 300 parents (150 parents and 150 mothers) of daycare centers located in Gyeonggi Province. Looking at the results of this study, first, it was confirmed that the general characteristics of parental adult attachment, self-recovery elasticity, and psychological well-being stimulate normality statistically. Second, the relationship between adult attachment and self-recovery elasticity was verified as a negative relationship, and it was confirmed that it had a significant effect. Third, it was confirmed that the relationship between adult attachment and psychological well-being was verified as a negative relationship and had a significant effect. As a follow-up study, we propose a phenomenological study of the mediating effect of psychological well-being on the influence of parents' adult attachment on self-recovery elasticity, parental attachment, resilience, and psychological well-being with infants and toddlers.

Purpose: This study observes the degrees of perfectionism (both self-oriented and socially-prescribed perfectionism), academic resilience, and satisfaction with major in nursing students and identifies the influence of perfectionism and academic resilience on satisfaction with major. Methods: Data from 115 second or third-year students in a nursing were collected for two months at different three universities. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Satisfaction with major was higher for second year students compared to third year students. And the satisfaction was higher for those with a higher Grade point average (${\geq}_-3.5$) compared to those with a lower. Self-oriented perfectionism had a higher score than socially-prescribed perfectionism and academic resilience based on self-control was rated the highest score of the subcategories. The degree of satisfaction was positively correlated with Self-oriented perfectionism and academic resilience. The final regression model showed that grade and academic resilience accounted for 34.2% of the variance in predicting the level of satisfaction with major. Conclusion: The results suggest that it is crucial to find a strategy that could enhance academic resilience, especially designed for upper-year university students, to improve the level of satisfaction with major.
A CFD software was used to simulate free surface flow of SCC in the T-Box test. In total, seven simulations were developed to study the effect of rheological parameters on the non-restricted flow performance of SCC in both horizontal and vertical directions. Different suspending fluids having five plastic viscosity values between 10 and 50 Pa.s, three yield stress values between 14 and 75 Pa, one density of $2500kg/m^3$, and one shear elasticity modulus of 100 Pa were considered for suspension of 178 spherical particles of 20-mm diameter and $2500kg/m^3$ density. The results of the simulations are found to correlate well to changes in rheological parameters of the suspending fluid. Plastic viscosity was shown to be the most dominant parameter affecting flowability and dynamic stability compared to the yield stress. A new approach was proposed to evaluate performability of SCC based on a trade-off between flowability and dynamic stability.

This study has focused on the possibility for recycling of tailings from the Sangdong tungsten mine as powder of self-compacting concrete(SCC). The experimental tests for slump-flow, reaching time to the slump-flow of 500mm, V-funnel and U-box were carried out in accordance with the specified by the Japanese Society of Civil Engineering(JSCE). The result of this study, in case of SCC mixed with tailings, slump-flow was decreased with increasing mixing ratio. But reaching time slump-flow of 500mm, V-funnel and U-box were satisfied a prescribed range. The mechanical properties including compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and static modulus of elasticity were checked with the requirements specified by Korean Industrial Standard(KS). The compressive strength of SCC was decreased with increasing replacement, splitting tensile strength and static modulus were similar to those of normal concrete.

In this paper, the medium strength self-compacting concrete with simple mix design method was manufactured and investigated about the properties of flowability and strength. Two types of binders like as fly-ash and RP(rock powder) were contained to the SCC in order to obtain the target medium strength of 270-350kgf/$cm^2$. The experimental tests about slump-flow, reaching time to the slump-flow of 50cm, V-funnel and U-box were carried out in accordance with the specified by the Japanese Society of Civil Engineering(JSCE). The mechanical properties such as compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and static modulus of elasticity were checked with the requirements specified by KS.
In this paper, a mixed variational principle applicable to the linear elasticity of inhomogeneous anisotropic materials is presented. For derivation of the general variational principle, a systematic procedure for the variational formulation of linear coupled boundary value problems developed by Sandhu et al. is employed. Consistency condition of the field operators with the boundary operators results in explicit inclusion of boundary conditions in the governing functional. Extensions of admissible state function spaces and specialization to a certain relation in the general governing functional lead to the desired mixed variational principle. In the physical sense, the present variational principle is analogous to the Reissner's recent formulation obtained by applying Lagrange multiplier technique followed by partial Legendre transform to the classical minimum potential energy principle. However, the present one is more advantageous for the application to the general anisotropic materials since Reissner's principle contains an implicit function which is not easily converted to an explicit form.
Optical coherence elastography (OCE) is based on optical coherence tomography (OCT), which is a noninvasive, high-resolution, cross-sectional imaging technique. In this paper, we have developed dynamic optical coherence elastography to measure elasticity, a mechanical property of tissue, by phase difference. A piezoelectric actuator was used for sinusoidal mechanical loading of samples. Before applying this method to biomaterial, we assessed the feasibility of OCE with samples of sponge, eraser, and sharp lead. Cross-sectional and phase-difference images of the sample were obtained under sinusoidal loading. The strain rate was calculated from the phase-difference information. To obtain the envelope of the phase-difference oscillations along the horizontal direction, Hilbert transformation was performed at each depth. The elevation of the envelope was represented by color mapping, and we could measure the relative elasticity within the sample by comparing the elevations. Finally, there was an advantage when we calculated the shear rate using self-interference in the sample arm, instead of the interference between sample and reference arms.
In this study, limestone powder (LS) and fly ash (FA) were used as powder materials in self-compacting concrete (SCC) in increasing quantities in addition to cement, so that the two powders commonly used in the production of SCC could be compared in the same study. Considering the reduction of the maximum aggregate size in SCC, 10 mm or 16 mm was selected as the coarse aggregate size. The properties of fresh concrete were determined by slump flow (including T500 time), V-funnel and J-ring experiments. The experimental results showed that as the amount of both LS and FA increased, the slump flow also increased. The increase in powder material had a negative effect on V-funnel flow times, causing it to increase; however, the increase in FA concretes was smaller compared to LS ones. The increase in the powder content reduced the amount of blockage in the J-ring test for both aggregate sizes. As the hardened concrete properties, the compressive and splitting strengths as well as the modulus of elasticity were determined. Longitudinal and transverse deformations were measured by attaching a special frame to the cylindrical specimens and the values of Poisson's ratio, initiation and critical stresses were obtained. Despite having a similar W/C ratio, all SCC exhibited higher compressive strength than NVC. Compressive strength increased with increasing powder content for both LS and FA; however, the increase of the FA was higher than the LS due to the pozzolanic effect. SCC with a coarse aggregate size of 16 mm showed higher strength than 10 mm for both powders. Similarly, the modulus of elasticity increased with the amount of powder material. Inelastic properties, which are rarely found in the literature for SCC, were determined by measuring the initial and critical stresses. Crack formation in SCC begins under lower stresses (corresponding to lower initial stresses) than in normal concretes, while critical stresses indicate a more brittle behavior by taking higher values.

This study proposes a new approach to analyze the impedance and the elasticity of a serial chain of spring-damper system, areal-time collision-free trajectory generation algorithm is proposed. The reference points on a trajectory connected by the spring-damper system have a mechanism for self-position adjustment to solve a collision problem by the impedance, and the local adjustment of each reference point is propagated through the elasticity to a real robot at the end of the spring-damper system. As a result, the overall trajectory consisting of the reference points becomes free of collision with environmental obstacles and efficient having the shortest distance as possible. In this process,, the reference points connected by the spring-damper system take role of virtual robot as global guidance for a real robot, and a cooperative is carried out by the system of robots. A control technology is proposed to implement for mobile robot.
