The present study has a dual purpose to investigate the current state of school English library and needs required for its effective use, and to propose a reading program at the school library. The literature on school library was reviewed. A questionnaire survey was done to find out the current situation of English library at the secondary school. The analysis of 26 secondary English teachers' responses reveals that there was the absence of librarians or reading specialists at the school English library. It was also found that the uses of the English library were limited due to the absence of the specialists, no guidelines, and no link between the curriculum and the library use. A case study on a 2-week special reading program at the school English library was conducted and 15 middle school students took part in the project. The participants took pre- and post-tests to identify their reading level using a software and did a variety of reading activities using the books selected according to their level. The comparison of the tests shows that most of the students' reading level improved after the reading program. The analysis of their views on the program and its effects reveals that they gained confidence in reading and their vocabulary understanding was improved. Some suggestions are made for the effective management of the school English library.

Therefore developments of physics curricula which relates teachers college, high school, and industry will become more and more Important.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the housing unit and investigate needs of housing in Home Economics curriculum of Home Economics teachers. The questionnaire survey was conducted 98 teachers participated in the minor training course in Chungbuk, August of 2000. When the teachers made their class in the section of housing, they emphasized respectively as the textual order: the space of housing and family life, the utilization of space, clean of residing circumstance in the middle school: and in the high school there was also concerned to the textual order: choice of housing, the house planning, interior design, maintenance of house. The teachers focused into the arrange of furniture and interior design for the students in the class, drawing of a plan in the contents of practical experience and performance. According to the survey results, the main point of class in housing should be emphasized the arranging of own room and function of other spaces in house for the students in the middle school. The high school curriculum should focus on the practical area to connect with the interior design. And in the section of housing it was needed to add the contents of management in the multi-family housing, housing problems, neighborhood environment for elderly, and also community planning.

본 연구는 전라북도 중등 과학교사들이 가지고 있는 과학에 관련된 태도를 조사 연구하는데 목적이 있으며 전반적인 과학에 관련된 태도뿐만 아니라 과학에 관련된 태도의 범주별 태도 경향, 과학교사들의 배경요인별 과학에 관련된 태도의차이 등을 알아보았다. 과학에 관련된 태도 점수는 100점 척도로 67.6점에 해당한 미온적인 태도로 조사되었다. 범주별 인식경향은 과학에 대한 태도 영역의 지식과 학문성이 가장 낮고 목적과 가치성은 가장 높게 나타났으며 과학적 태도 영역에서는 객관성 범주가 가장 낮게, 개방성 범주가 가장 높게 나타났다. 문항별 특이한 점을 보면 과학을 발전시키도록 지원해 주어야 한다는 생각이 많으면서도 과학발전이 없었으면 인간은 더욱 행복해졌을 것이다 라고 생각하는 이중적인 면을 볼 수 있다. 배경별 과학교사들의 과학에 관련된 태도 경향을 역시 유의도 5%에서 차이가 있는 것을 보면 정규대학 출신 과학교사에 비해 양성소, 부전공, 상치 교사들의 태도점수가 낮게 나타났으며, 지구과학 전공교사가 타 전공에 비해 약간 높았다. 연수 횟수에 따라 태도의 차이를 보이지 않아 방학 때 실시하는 과학교사들의 연수가 과학에 관련된 태도의 변화에 별 영향을 미치지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 과학발전에서 중요한 것으로는 외적인 조건의 향상을 가장 많이 생각하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 예비 교사들의 지질유산에 대한 인식과 이해정도, 지질유산 교육의 필요성과 효과적인 지질유산 교육을 위한 학습방법이 무엇인지 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2013년 충청북도 소재 초등 예비교사와 중등 예비 교사 학생 총 190명을 대상으로 설문조사 연구를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 예비 교사들은 지질유산을 주로 방송매체를 통해서 처음 접해 알고 있었으나, 지질유산에 대한 설명과 인식의 정도는 낮은 편이어서 지질유산에 대한 지식과 설명에는 어려움을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 예비 교사들은 대부분 지질유산 교육을 받지 못하였지만, 일부 교육을 받은 예비 교사들은 초등학교 시절이나 중학교 시절에 학교에서 교사로부터 교육을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 지질유산 교육을 받은 예비 교사들마저도 지질유산에 대한 인식은 부족하였다. 지질유산의 우수성과 중요성을 높이 인식하여 지질유산 교육이 필요하다고 응답했다. 현행 초, 중등 교육과정에서 지질유산 교육은 다루고 있지 않으며, 지질유산 교육이 이루어지고 있지 않다고 인식하고 있었다. 예비 교사들은 학교에서 교사가 중심이 되어 지질유산 교육이 이루어지는 것이 가장 효과가 높을 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 학생들에게 지질유산 교육은 학습능력이 갖춰지고, 가장 호기심이 많은 초등학교가 가장 적절한 시기라고 응답하였으며, 지질유산 교육에 많은 시간을 할애하는 것에는 부정적인 측면을 보였다. 마지막으로 예비 교사들은 현행 개설된 교과내용에서 현장체험 형태의 지질유산 교육을 진행하는 것을 희망하였으며, 지질유산 관련 기관이 제공하는 동영상 자료를 주로 학습에 이용하겠다고 응답하였다. 이 조사 결과를 바탕으로 예비 교사들에게 지질유산의 가치와 소중함을 올바르게 알리기 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

본 연구는 중등물리교사임용시험의 광학 문항 분석을 통해 광학 교육에의 시사점을 탐색하고 중등물리교사임용시험의 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2002학년도부터 2017학년도까지 16년간 실시된 중등물리교사임용시험에 출제된 38개의 광학문항을 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 광학 문항은 물리내용학 영역 중에서는 약 10.8% 비율로 출제되어 가장 출제빈도가 낮은 영역이었다. 둘째, 스넬의 법칙, 렌즈의 상, 간섭 등 특정 영역에 대해서 많은 문제가 출제되었으며, 광학기기 및 수차 등에서는 거의 출제되지 않았다. 셋째, 다른 영역에 비해 광학 내용 문항들은 비교적 쉬운 문항들로 출제되었으며, 일상생활 상황보다 실험실 상황의 문제가 더 많이 출제되었다. 추가로 평가 내용 요소별 문항 분석을 통해 물리교사임용시험과 중등물리예비교사교육에의 시사점을 논의하였다.

The present study explores mathematics teachers' understanding of division by zero and their approaches to explaining the impossibility of division by zero. This study analyzes Chinese and Korean middle school mathematics teachers' responses to the teaching task of explaining the impossibility of dividing 7 by zero, and examples of teachers' reasoned explanations for their answers are presented. The findings from this study suggest that most Korean teachers offer multiple types of mathematical explanations for justifying the impossibility of division by zero, while Chinese teachers' explanations were more uniform and based less on mathematical ideas than those of their Korean counterparts. Another finding from this study is that teachers' particular conceptions of zero were strongly associated with their justifications for the impossibility of division by zero, and the influence of the teachers' conceptions of zero was revealed as a barrier in composing a well-reasoned explanation for the impossibility of division by zero. One of the practical implications of this study is those teachers' basic attitudes toward always attempting to give explanations for mathematical facts or mathematical concepts do not seem to be derived solely from their sufficient knowledge of the facts or concepts of mathematics.

본 연구에서는 위탁형 대안학교에 재학 중인 학생들의 좋은 과학수업에 대한 인식을 조사하고 분석해보았다. 18명의 대안학교 재학생을 대상으로 설문조사, 심층면담, 그림그리기를 실시하였다. 이에 대한 분석을 통해서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 대안학교 학생들은 좋은 학교는 재미있는 학교, 학생의 의견을 존중해 주는 학교, 좋은 교사와 친구들이 있는 학교라고 언급했다. 둘째, 대안학교 학생들은 좋은 교사는 학생을 존중해 주는 교사, 학생과 소통하는 교사, 차별하지 않는 인간적인 교사라고 언급했다. 셋째, 대안학교 학생들이 생각하는 좋은 과학수업은 구성주의에 바탕을 둔 수업이다. 본 연구의 활용 방안 및 후속 연구를 중심으로 다음과 같은 제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 대안학교 학생들의 현재 대안학교와 교사에 대해 긍정적으로 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대안학교 교사들의 학생들과의 대화, 인격존중, 학생들과의 인간관계를 정규학교에서도 잘 적용할 필요가 있다. 이는 공교육이 개혁되어 입시위주 교육, 주입식 교육, 암기식 교육이 아니라 인간다운 인간을 기르는 교육의 가능성을 제시한다. 둘째, 구성주의에 기반을 둔 과학수업을 위해서 대안학교 과학교사의 전문성 개발이 요구된다. 셋째, 효과적인 과학 수업을 위해서는 대안학교 수업 환경의 지원이 요구된다.

본 연구는 중등기혼여교사의 결혼만족도와 직무수행과의 관계에 대해서 조사하고자 하는 목적으로 서울시와 주변의 위성도시에 소재한 중등학교 중에서 10개 중학교와 11개 고둥학교에 재직중인 중등기혼여교사 237명을 대상으로 하였다. 중등기혼여교사의 결혼만족도 척도는 Snyder의 척도를 중심으로 하고 시가관계 영역을 보충한 이정련(1987)의 것을 사용하였다. 직무수행 영역에 대한 척도는 손정환(1990)의 교사직무 영역을 참고하여 윤경혜(2001)가 작성한 것을 사용하였다. 자료분석은 t-test. 분산분석. Scheffe 검증을 실시하였고. Pearson의 적률상관계수를 산출하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째. 중등기혼여교사의 결혼만족도는 연령과 자녀수에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다 연령이 가장 낮은 집단이 연령이 높은 집단보다 전반적 결혼만족도와 동료감에서 더 높았고, 자녀가 없는 집단이 다른 집단보다 전반적 결혼만족도와 성생활, 정의적 의사소통, 문제해결 의사소통, 시가관계, 경제문제, 동료감에서 높았다. 둘째, 중등 기혼여교사의 연령이 높은 집단이 생활지도, 연수활동, 인간관계, 사무관리 학교경영기여, 교육개혁 참여도에서 높게 나타났고, 자녀수가 많은 집단에서 학습지도. 생활지도와 연수활동 인간관계, 사무관리 영역을 더 잘하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 재직년수가 높은 집단에서 생활지도, 연수활동 인간관계, 사무관리, 학교경영 기여 교육개혁참여도에서 높게 나타났고, 가사조력자가 없는 집단이 가사조력자가 있는 집단보다 교육개혁참여도를 더 잘 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중등기혼여교사의 결혼만족도와 직무수행은 전체적으로 유의한 상관을 보였다. 즉, 중등기혼여교사의 전체적인 결혼만족도는 학급관리, 생활지도, 사무관리, 전체 직무수행. 학교경영기여, 인간관계 순으로 높은 상관을 보였다.

Secondary English Education in Korea is implemented according to the 7th National Curriculum. The 7th National English Curriculum pursues to achieve communicative competence considering individual differences. According to the research, using various multimedia in English education enhances English proficiency and allows effective individual-based learning. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of applying multimedia in English education within the framework of the 7th National Curriculum. For this purpose, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted in 2005 with 145 secondary English teachers in Kyunggy Province. The results showed that multimedia was not integrated in English education effectively, and individual based-learning was not implemented effectively, either.
