Even before the Covid-19 outbreak, the second-hand fashion market has been growing as the fashion industry strives towards sustainability. It has also accelerated due to the economic contraction caused by the pandemic. In previous studies, the second-hand market has been steadily studied; however, the research is insufficient compared to the diversified market. Therefore, this study investigates changes in consumers' perception of the second-hand fashion market affected by Covid-19. This study collected text data with the keyword 'second-hand fashion' from various blogs. We analyzed 24,000 posts before and after the Covid-19 outbreak by applying the LDA algorithm for topic modeling and content analysis. Seven and nine different topics for the period before and after the pandemic respectively were derived. The results revealed that during the pandemic the consumers realized the practical value of sustainability in their daily lives than they did before the pandemic. Furthermore, they tried to minimize transaction anxiety by using diverse platforms with advanced technology. They also realized economic value by buying and selling sneakers in the popular sneakers resale market. The results could help understand the rapidly growing second-hand fashion market during Covid-19.

The purpose of this study was to develop paclitaxel-loaded poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanoparticles coated with cationic SM5-1 single-chain antibody (scFv) containing a polylysine (SMFv-polylys). SM5-1 scFv (SMFv) is derived from SM5-1 monoclonal antibody, which binds to a 230 kDa membrane protein specifically expressed on melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma and breast cancer cells. SMFv-polylys was expressed in Escherichia coli and purified by cation-exchange chromatography. Purified SMFv-polylys was fixed to paclitaxel-loaded PLGA nanoparticles to form paclitaxel-loaded PLGA nanoparticles coated with SMFv-polylys (Ptx-NP-S). Ptx-NP-S was shown to retain the specific antigen-binding affinity of SMFv-polylys to SM5-1 binding protein-positive Ch-hep-3 cells. Finally, the cytotoxicity of Ptx-NP-S was evaluated by a non-radioactive cell proliferation assay. It was demonstrated that Ptx-NP-S had significantly enhanced in vitro cytotoxicity against Ch-hep-3 cells as compared with non-targeted paclitaxel-loaded PLGA nanoparticles. In conclusion, our results suggest that cationic SMFv-polylys has been successfully generated and may be used as targeted ligand for preparing cancer-targeted nanoparticles.

Wound healing is delayed in diabetic patients. Increased apoptosis and endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) dysfunction are implicated in delayed diabetic wound healing. Melatonin, a major secretory product of the pineal gland, promotes diabetic wound healing; however, its mechanism of action remains unclear. Here, EPCs were isolated from the bone marrow of mice. Treatment of EPCs with melatonin alleviated advanced glycation end product (AGE)-induced apoptosis and cellular dysfunction. We further examined autophagy flux after melatonin treatment and found increased light chain 3 (LC3) and p62 protein levels in AGE-treated EPCs. However, lysosome-associated membrane protein 2 expression was decreased, indicating that autophagy flux was impaired in EPCs treated with AGEs. We then evaluated autophagy flux after melatonin treatment and found that melatonin increased the LC3 levels, but attenuated the accumulation of p62, suggesting a stimulatory effect of melatonin on autophagy flux. Blockage of autophagy flux by chloroquine partially abolished the protective effects of melatonin, indicating that autophagy flux is involved in the protective effects of melatonin. Furthermore, we found that the AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway is involved in autophagy flux stimulation by melatonin. An in vivo study also illustrated that melatonin treatment ameliorated impaired wound healing in a streptozotocin-induced diabetic wound healing model. Thus, our study shows that melatonin protects EPCs against apoptosis and dysfunction via autophagy flux stimulation and ameliorates impaired wound healing in vivo, providing insight into its mechanism of action in diabetic wound healing.

The main purpose of this paper is to study differentiable one-parameter groups and cosine families of operators acting on white noise functions and their associated infinitesimal generators. In particular, we prove the heredity of differentiable one-parameter group and cosine family of operators under the second quantization of the Cuchy problems for the first and second or der differential equations.

In this paper, we present a new method that combines the characteristics of edge in-formation and second-order neural networks for the classification of structural textures. The edges of a texture are extracted using an edge detection approach. From this edge information, classification features called second-order features are obtained. These features are fed into a second-order neural network for training and subsequent classification. It will be shown that the main disadvantage of using structural methods in texture classifications, namely, the difficulty of the extraction of texels, is overcome by the proposed method.

For a discrete group G, the kernel of a homomorphism from bounded cohomology $\hat{H}^*(G)$ of G to the ordinary cohomology $H^*(G)$ of G is called the singular part of $\hat{H}^*(G)$. We give some results on the space of the singular part of the second bounded cohomology of G. Also some results on the second bounded cohomology of a uniformly perfect group are given.

In the paper, the authors find a common solution to three series of differential equations related to the generating function of the Bernoulli numbers of the second kind and present a recurrence relation, an explicit formula in terms of the Stirling numbers of the first kind, and a determinantal expression for the Bernoulli numbers of the second kind.

Optimal model following control scheme is to design the controller which makes the response of real system follow that of desirable model. This kind of design scheme is developed for first order system. We extends the scheme for second order system regarding the characteristics of mechanical second order system for vibration suppression of flexible structures. The model of mechanical second order system is obtained using suitable damping ratios and natural frequencies. Using this scheme, we can design the good controller which uses the characteristic of second order system. Numerical examples are presented which were used optimal model following control scheme.

Mixed type second order dual to the non-differentiable problem containing support functions is formulated and duality theorems are proved under generalized second order convexity conditions. It is pointed out that the mixed type duality results already reported in the literature are the special cases of our results.
