This study aims at developing and empirically testing a comprehensive model of organizational justice derived from the prior empirical studies on organizational justice. The study seeks to understand the antecedents to and the consequences are addressed. The first question is what characteristics of the HRM systems determine the levels of perceived distributive and procedural justice. Hypotheses are derived from the two prominent theoretical models, i.e., the self-interests model (SIM) and the group value model (GVM). Those factors include neutrality, consistency, accuracy. ethicality. credibility. and reciprocity in the processes of making HRM decisions. All nine factors suggested by the two models aye adopted for this study as major determinants of both distributive and procedural justice. The second question of this study is related to the moderating effects of individual differences on the relationship between the SIM and GVM variables and perceived distributive and procedural justice in organizational contexts. The final research question deals with the consequences of perceived organizational justice. specifically job - related altitudes and organizational commitment. Job-related attitudes in this study refer to job satisfaction, job motivation, and job involvement, i.e., the willingness to make contributions. identification with organization, and intent to stay. In examining the consequences of perceived organizational justice, the study focuses on the interaction effects of procedural and distributive justice on the above nine outcome variables. The results show that both SIM and GVM variables significantly influence distributive and procedural justice. However, hierarchical regression analyses reveal that the GVM variables except more influence has been focused on the consequences of perceived distributive justice with regard to outcomes provided by the organization.

The purpose of this study was to find the integrated educational programs for the female marital immigrant families in Korea. For this purpose, 21 immigrated female informants and 33 visiting teachers who provide teaching services to female informants were focus-group interviewed. The Major findings were as follows: Through the content analysis of informant's responses, both married female immigrants and visiting teachers expressed the needs of Korean language programs interpreted by immigrants' native speakers as well as programs to support their children. Married female immigrants expressed the needs for her husbands joining educational programs not much, on the other hand visiting teachers insisted to join their husbands as well as other family members to diverse family-related programs. Married female immigrants wanted programs to support their working skills, however visiting teachers emphasized their responsibilities and active attitudes before they get a job. Married female immigrants were not conscious any counselling programs to cope with husband's violence or maladjusted children, on the other hand visiting teachers insisted counselling programs to help female immigrants. Above all the programs, most of female marital immigrants wanted Korean language programs interpreted by their native speakers and programs to support their working skills, on the other hand visiting teachers emphasized the importance of family-related programs and counselling programs.
The objectives of this study were to classify the types of elderly households and to compare the characteristics of their dietary lifestyle. Panel data surveyed by Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) for Food Purchase Attitudes over three years (2019 - 2021) were utilized for the analysis. Through a factor analysis, five common factors were extracted out of 19 basic variables related to dietary style, which indicate two kinds of consumer competency index (safe diet, traditional diet) and three kinds of purchase frequency (healthy food, meat & fish, fresh seafood). Applying the cluster analysis method, by using socioeconomic variables along the five common factors, elderly households aged 60 or older were grouped into four types. As a result, Type 1 elderly households accounted for 50.8%, Type 2 for 16.2%, Type 3 for 27.8%, and Type 4 for 5.2% out of all 870 elderly households. Type 1 is characterized as a low-income vulnerable class with a poor diet, Type 2 as a middle-income class with a healthy food-oriented diet, whereas Type 3 was classified as a middle-income class with a meat-oriented diet, and Type 4 as a high-income class with diverse dietary culture. It is necessary to expand the agri-food voucher pilot project to the entire country and also increase the monthly subsidy for the Type 1 elderly households. Implementing community kitchen projects for elderly single-person households, promoting senior internships by providing incentives to companies that employ retirees, the provision of education by local governments on a safe and balanced diet for Types 2 and 3, and the promotion of an elderly-friendly social environment are also recommended.
The purpose of this study is to explore the digital divide that appears in the mobile Internet use by farmers and fishers. To this end, we first analyzed the impact of farmers and fishers' attitudes toward technology, material access, and skills on the use of mobile social media. In addition, the digital divide was identified according to the population, socioeconomic factors among farmers and fishers, and the divide and the cause of the mobile Internet use among both part- and full-time farmers and fishers were analyzed. As a result of empirical analysis using the <2018 Report on the Digital Divide>, attitudes, material access, and content-related skills had a significant effect on the use of mobile social media. Also, the digital divide was found in different age groups and residential regions. There was also a significant difference in the use of mobile social media between part- and full-time farmers and fishers, and this divide was caused by attitudes toward new technologies. Based on these results, this study presented policy implications such as the need for education on informatization for farmers and fishers, support for underdeveloped rural communities, and technical support for full-time farmers and fishers in order to bridge the digital divide.
In this study, we developed a sustainability education program employing a project-based learning strategy for prospective teachers and investigated its effectiveness. A total of 23 senior students from a university of education participated in the study. The investigation involved a pretest on their pro-environmental behavior and attitudes, followed by a five-week implementation of the program, during which students individually engaged in energy-saving projects. Following the program, a post-test, which used the same questionnaire as the pretest, was administered. In addition, we conducted individual interviews with nine students who actively engaged in the projects. We analyzed the interview contents, portfolios, and reports; identified sub-concepts related to the program's effectiveness and its causes; and then organized them into subcategories. Then, we extracted recurring relationships among the subcategories to formulate a tentative explanatory model. The results indicate that the program positively impacted students' pro-environmental behavior and values/attitudes. Notably, the students' "sense of achievement gained through success" emerged as a significant factor influencing their pro-environmental behavior. Furthermore, some causes were found to indirectly affect pro-environmental behavior through pro-environmental values and attitudes.
This study aims to analyze and compare environmental attitudes of interest groups, including visitors, local residents, Buddhist monks, and staff of the Korea National Park Service in Gayasan National Park. To achieve this purpose, five hypotheses were formulated and tested. While three hypotheses were statistically rejected, two were accepted. In every interest group, the environmental attitude level of women was higher than that of men. Local residents particularly showed statistically significant differences in accordance with occupation. The difference in environmental attitude between visitors and local residents was not statistically significant. Finally, the environmental attitude level between interest groups was divided into three groups. The staff of the Korea National Park Service showed the highest level of environmental attitude, followed by Buddhist monks, and a group of visitors and residents recorded the lowest. However, the average level of environmental attitude of every interest group scored above the mid-point of 3. Therefore, it can be concluded that there exists no difference between or conflicts among interest groups related to strengthening conservation and management policies regarding the protection of Gayasan National Park.
Total 83model forest owners in Korea were investigated to find out the relationship between their attitudes toward tree felling (or propensity to felling) and selected six independent variables, i.e, owner's age(X1), educational level(X2), forest land area (X3), socioeconomic status (X4), communication (X5) and sociopsychological factor(X6). The dependent variable was measured by Liken attitude scale, and analyzed by multiple regression. Major findings of the study are summarized as follows: 1) The degree of the propensity of felling is relatively high. The communication and sociopsychological variables are negatively, but education level is positively related to the dependent variable. 2) The multiple correlation coefficient between felling-attitude score and six independent variables is 0.5322. Of the variance of this sttitude score, about 13 percent can be explained by communication variable, 6 percent by sociopsychological variable and other 6 percent by age variable. 3) The model owners' attitudes toward felling are positively correlated with there sources of communication variable, i.e. personal contact, social participation and mass media contact. The multiple correlation coefficient between felling-attitude score and three sources of communication variable is 0.4049. This means that 16 percent of the variance of the attitude score can be explained by three sources of communication, that is, 9 percent by personal contact, 5 percent by social participation and 3 percent by mass media. 4) The fatalistic, untrustful and non-ambitious personalities were positively, but conservative personality negatively related to the propensity to tree felling. The multiple correlation coefficient between seven different personalities and the dependent variable is 0.5461. Of the variance of the dependent variable, 11 percent can be explained by untrustful personality, and other 11 percent by nonambitious personality.
The curriculum in the vocational training shall be planed and operated on a basis what is the occupational category that the students can be employed after their graduation and the ability necessary to the engagement in their occupations. Accordingly, the course selecting the quality of education in the curriculum plan for the vocational training shall be developed continuously and gradually through the maintenance of dose relation by the participation of the persons in the industries related to the major field. If the curriculum in the vocational training is for the preparation of employment, the focus of curriculum shall be adjusted to the employment. It needs to collect and analyze the related data between the universities and industries, particularly regional industries synthetically in order to develop the curriculum in the vocational training. The curriculum shall be planned on a basis of the data. As for the data related to the local community, it needs to develop new programs considering the prospect of demand of manpower by the industry, necessary knowledge, technology and attitudes, particularly considering the occupational category available in the employment with a bright prospect hereafter. Also, the contents to improve in the existing curriculum(a change of technology, a form of facilities for experimentㆍpractice, and a type of continuing & further education) shall be investigated and analyzed objectively. Accordingly, this study is to develop the curriculum more systematically in order to foster the character designer specially who to engage in the character industry that increases its role and expectation all the more with the development of animation industries and the extension of markets now. The purpose of this study is to decrease the estrangement between the school education that has been problems and the practical affairs in the field, to foster the special manpower that can satisfy the industries demand.
This study analyzed all of the research articles published in six of the Korean science education journals in the past three decades. The purpose of this research synthesis was to identify gender differences in hundreds of research articles accomplished at the personal, local, and national level that have repeatedly been reported in several international comparative studies. There were few of articles that focused on gender issues, but 279 articles presented a result of gender issues separately. Of the 279 articles, we finally analyzed 225 research articles for a statistical significance. The articles were divided into two types of research method: test-based studies and experiment-based studies. The results of research synthesis in test-based studies were as follows: The largest number of studies reported male superiority in science knowledge and science-related attitude, which is similar to the results of recent international studies. In particular, gender differences were the biggest in science-related attitudes and the least in scientific process skills. The result of research synthesis in experimental studies was that the largest number of articles did not show significant gender differences in the effect of the applied program. It is noteworthy that the applied science education programs tend to be more effective in improving female students' scientific attitude and male students' science knowledge. It is necessary to develop more gender-inclusive science programs for female students to feel science more positively.
This study was carried out to collect basic information on the knowledge and attributes and behavior related to the prevention of breast cancer of a Sample Seoul women. Similar studies had dealt with samples of tumor clinic patients and their families and with non-professional hospital welters. The sample for this study was drawn by women out patients from eight centrally located general hospitals, in Seoul where the number of annual out patients exceeded 100,000, and the number of beds exceeded 100. The interview schedule consisted 33 questions related to knowledge, attitude, and behavior related to prevention of breast cancer. It was modified from the previous on cancer studies. The investigator interviewed 665 women over 20 years of age, from those who visited these eight hospitals from 24, June to 20, August 1975. More than half of the respondents were housewives and primarily in the 20 to 29 ages group. They had a mean level of 3.562 pregnancies and 1,986 children. 33.4% were high-school graduates, 32.2% had a monthly family income in the 50,000 to 100,000 won range. 75% of the respondents had heard about breast cancer through mass media or personal media, but the majority of respondents did not have an accurate understanding of it. This varied according to educational, economical income and occupations. The primary reason given for maintaining distance from a patient with breast cancer was not because of cancer but simply because person was a patient. 74.7% of the respondents thought that early cancer of the breast could be cured with early treatment. Only 5.3% of the respondents had ever had a physical examination and only 6.3% practised self examination of the breast.
