  • This study investigated how elementary students' science-related affective characteristics and their perception of measurement changed following participation in citizen science activities through a GLOBE program. Before and after the activities, test of positive experiences about science (PES) and perception of measurement were conducted with twelve fourth grade students. In addition, the teacher who participated in the GLOBE program with students observed and recorded the students' involvement, conversation and behavior to qualitatively analyze the value of the program and the students' perceptions of measurement. After the end of the program, an open questionnaire was conducted to fill any gaps in these observations. The results showed that citizen science activities had a positive impact on elementary students' science-related affective characteristics. In all areas of PES test, the post-test scores were higher than the pre-test results, and a statistically significant difference was seen in the 'science learning motivation' area. Furthermore, students' perception of the value and meaning of measurements was seen to deepen through ongoing global environmental data measurement activities. And their understanding of various units of measurement and numerous situations in which they might need to make measurements was also elaborated.

  • It has been alerted that Korean students' mathematical affective achievement is very low. In order to solve this problem, various policies related to mathematical affective domains have been promoted, but it is necessary to examine various existing policies and explore the direction for improving them in more essential aspects. Based on previous studies that the growth mindset helps to increase students' affective achievement, this study focused on improving students' math-related growth mindset and ultimately exploring policies that can increase mathematical affective achievement. Therefore, the current status of mathematical affective achievement of Korean students was examined, and the policies and related cases in the mathematical affective domain were investigated. Based on the results, some keywords were derived and then the directions of policy for improving the math-related growth mindset and the affective achievement of students were suggested.

  • This study investigates how cognitive and affective conflict affect performance and social outcomes in the new product situation. We examine the corporate, project, and personal characteristics that determine the level of inter-functional conflict between marketing and R&D. From a survey of Korean high-tech companies, we found : (1) time pressure was positively related to cognitive and affective conflict, (2) joint reward systems, interdepartmental connectedness, and years of education were negatively associated to cognitive conflict, (3) while cognitive conflict was positively related to new product creativity and NPD performance, affective conflict was negatively associated to marketing-R&D integration and perceived effectiveness of the relationship, as well as new product creativity and NPD performance.

  • Science-related affective domain is considered as a very important domain for achieving students' scientific literacy. Most science educational objectives include some objectives about affective domain such as scientific attitudes, values, curiosity, interests and concerns about nature and science. In this research, the evaluation framework and items of science-related affective domain were developed. The evaluation framework consists of three main categories such as cognition, interest and scientific attitudes and 16 subcategories. The validity of the evaluation framework is tested by ten science educators. Forty-eight items are selected among item pool by considering item response analysis and item-test correlation coefficient. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$ of the tests is 0.83(cognition and interest) and 0.86(scientific attitudes). The results of the test are as follows. First, boys got higher scores than girls. Second, elementary students got higher scores than secondary students. Finally. students in urban areas showed higher scores than those in rural areas.
