  • Media is the medium that impart information beyond time and space. They refer to characters or images that serve as means to convey information. From old media such as newspapers and television to new media such as the internet and smart phones, media has developed cumulatively with the development of technology. The goal of media education is to develop the understanding of the properties of media, the ability of critical interpretation of media and selective acceptance. Furthermore it is to cultivate the ability to express meaning creatively and communicate through media. I carried out 'the research of Korean classroom instruction models based on media' with Korean language and social studies education researchers from July 2016 to December 2016. This study is a fundamental study of the project. Based on 58 research papers published between 2006 and 2016, research trends and factors were extracted through literature studies related to media-based science learning. The Result has shown that the studies related to media-based science learning is on the rise, and more than half of all researchers studied about elementary school students. The studies were divided into research on students, research on teachers and pre-service teachers, research on smart devices or media contents, and research on the development of digital textbooks. Among the four variables, there were many researches related to students' cognitive and affective development, and the development and application of media contents.

  • This study analyze the cited literatures of six chapters of Limwonsibyukji, which mainly deal with agriculture. As a result, it is confirmed that among citations twenty kinds of literature have orthographic errors in title and fifty three kinds of literature are abbreviated titles. Totals of cited literature which concerned with agriculture in Limwonsibyukji are 357 kinds and citation frequency is 5349 times. Core literatures which citation frequency over 100 times are Kunbangbo, Nongseo, Nongjeongjeonseo, Bonchogangmok, Jeminyosul, Jengbosanlimkyongje, Nanhoeomokji, Haeongpoji, Hwahansamjaedohae, Bakjumokdansa and six chapters of Limwonsibyukji concerning agriculture was mainly compiled through direct citation from raw materials.

  • This study is made as part of an attempt to explore the citation dependency in the field of Korean sociology. 213 articles by 136 authors in by The Korean Sociological Association issued in $2001{\sim}2005$ were surveyed and their 10,172 references were analyzed. Main research results are as following : 1) Researchers in this field are fairly foreign literature oriented, and problem interest (sources of research ideas) was deriving from domestic literature, but theoretical resources was depending on foreign literature almost. 2) The foreign citation dependency of 'Foreign Doctor' appeared greatly higher than that of 'Domestic Doctor', therefore, the country of doctor' degree and the citation dependency was close correlation. 3) Foreign citation dependency appeared high even research to Korea society.

  • Scientists planning research that involves the use of animals are required by international and/or national law to examine the possibilities for the implementation of Replacement, Reduction and/or Refinement (the Three Rs principles of Russell and Burch) in experiments for research, testing, and education. There are two Korean laws legislating humane use of animals and ethical review prior to animal experiments. This report reviews current practice of the literature search by the researchers and protocol review by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees on the Replacement, Reduction and Refinement alternatives in Korea. The promotion and protection of the laboratory animals are one of the core competencies of investigators exploring the ethical conduct of research and good science.

  • In this study, some characteristics of conductive and non-conductive adhesive inter-connections are derived, based on data from literature and own projects. Assembly of flip chip on flex is taken as a carrier. Potential failure mechanisms of adhesive interconnections reported in literature are reviewed. Some methods that can be used to evaluate the quality of adhesive interconnections and to evaluate their aging behavior are given. Possible finite element simulation approaches are introduced and the required critical materials properties are summarized. Response to temperature and moisture, resistance to reflow soldering and resistance to rapid change in temperature and humidity are elaborated. The effect of post cure during accelerated testing is discussed. This study shows that only a combined approach using finite element simulations, and use of appropriate experimental evaluation methods can result in revealing, understanding and quantifying the complex degradation mechanisms of adhesive interconnections during aging.

  • There is a growing body of literature on the adverse health effects of ambient air pollution. Children are more adversely affected by air pollution due to their biological susceptibility and exposure patterns. This review summarized the accumulated epidemiologic evidence with emphasis on studies conducted in Korea and heterogeneity in the literature. Based on systematic reviews and meta-analyses, there is consistent evidence on the association between exposure to ambient air pollution and children's health, especially respiratory health and adverse birth outcomes, and growing evidence on neurodevelopmental outcomes. Despite these existing studies, the mechanism of the adverse health effects of air pollution and the critical window of susceptibility remain unclear. There is also a need to identify causes of heterogeneity between studies in terms of measurement of exposure/outcome, study design, and the differential characteristics of air pollutants and population.

  • Using the Complementary Functions Method (CFM), a general solution for the one-dimensional steady-state thermal and mechanical stresses in a hollow thick sphere made of functionally graded material (FGM) is presented. The mechanical properties are assumed to obey the exponential variations in the radial direction, and the Poisson's ratio is assumed to be constant, with general thermal and mechanical boundary conditions on the inside and outside surfaces of the sphere. In the present paper, a semi-analytical iterative technique, one of the most efficient unified method, is employed to solve the heat conduction equation and the Navier equation. For different values of inhomogeneity constant, distributions of radial displacement, radial stress, circumferential stress, and effective stress, as a function of radial direction, are obtained. Various material models from the literature are used and corresponding temperature distributions and stress distributions are computed. Verification of the proposed method is done using benchmark solutions available in the literature for some special cases and virtually exact results are obtained.

  • Objectives: The coronavirus disease pandemic affected people's lives in different ways, including child education and parent-child interactions. The present study aimed to identify the educational opportunities of children and challenges of parents during this pandemic. Methods: This study was conducted using a qualitative and phenomenological method. The participants were 23 parents of children aged 7-12 years, selected by purposive sampling method. Data were collected by semi-structured interviews, which continued until data saturation was reached, and then classified and processed following Strauss and Glasser's approach. Results: The findings were classified as parenting transformation, attachment challenges, and parenting challenges due to macro-systemic changes. Online education and changes caused by social distancing were the most significant parenting challenges. Moreover, children did not have the necessary space to be independent and self-sufficient. Conclusion: For many children, adapting to virtual education has been challenging; therefore, parents should change their parenting control and support. The emergence of such challenges has led to the creation of more opportunities in the field of child education.
