Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, two-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical regression. The major results were as follows. Male and female students' deviant behaviors had a positive correlation with sensation seeking traits, deviant behaviors by peer groups, school maladjustment, and maltreatment-experiences from parents, but a negative correlation with communications with parents. In female students', deviant behaviors had a negative correlation with self-esteem. The important variables predicting deviant behaviors were deviant behaviors of peer groups, sensation seeking traits, emotional maltreatment-experience, kind of high-school and school maladjustment for male students, compared to deviant behaviors of peer groups, kind of high-school, sensation seeking traits and school maladjustment for female students'.

  • Relations of regulation, negative emotionality and problem behaviors to school adjustment were examined for 1,105 elementary school children from 558 2nd grade and 547 5th grade. Children reported their regulation and negative emotionality and teachers rated children's problem behaviors such as hyperactive and withdrawal behaviors and school adjustment including school life, grades, social competence with peers and teacher. Measures of problem behaviors were highly contributed to the prediction of children's school adjustment, especially hyperactive to school life and grades and withdrawal to social competence with peers and teacher. Behavioral regulation was associated with school adjustment including school life and social functioning with teacher and was able to modulate the influence of hyperactive. It was found that depression had both direct and indirect effects via withdrawal behavior on school adjustment.

(2) Impulsivity account for 3.6% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in Subjects with a lower degree of score the Deviant Behaviors. Impulsivity and Social Support account for 23.2% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in subjects with higher degree of score the Deviant Behaviors. (3) Impulsivity account for 18.3% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in High school girls (n=350). Impulsivity and Social Support account for 20.1% of the variance in Deviant Behaviors in High school boys (n=347). Methods: Data were collected from 234 elementary school teachers in the B Metropolitan City Office of Education from 5th to 30th October, 2016. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: The elementary school teachers' health perception scored 2.94 out of 4, health status 1.59 out of 3, and health promotion behaviors 2.66 out of 4. The level of mental health status (1.67) was higher than that of physical health status (1.54) and the most practiced health promotion behavior was spiritual growth (3.15) and the least was health responsibility (2.00). Significant negative correlations were found between health perception and health status (r=-.59, p<.001) and between health status and health promotion behaviors (r=-.41, p<.001). A significant positive correlation was found between health perception and health promotion behaviors (r=.32, p<.001). The significant factors influencing health promotion behaviors were job stress and health status. These factors explained 19.6% of the health promotion behaviors. Conclusion: It is necessary to establish measures to increase the health perception and health promotion behaviors of elementary school teachers and improve their health status. • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude and preventive behaviors of middle school students and to investigate socio-demographic and health-related factors. Methods: 198 male and 188 female middle school students in M city were recruited for the survey. Independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA and $Scheff{\acute{e}}^{\prime}s$ test and Pearson's correlation were performed to examine factors associated with tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude and preventive behaviors. Results: The percentage of correct answers to questions testing tuberculosis-related knowledge was very low, 33%. The mean scores of attitude and preventive behaviors were 3.02 and 2.90 out of 4 (highest score), respectively. Middle school students who had experiences of health education or tuberculosis-related education showed significantly higher scores than their counterparts in all factors - knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors. Parental education, academic achievement, smoking, sleeping time, infectious disease education, and source of tuberculosis information were associated with knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors. Knowledge about tuberculosis had a positive correlation with attitude and preventive behaviors. Conclusion: The level of tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors was very low among middle school students. In addition, school health education was highly related to a higher level of knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors regarding tuberculosis. Therefore, to intensify students' preventive behaviors against tuberculosis and other infection diseases, sustainable school health education should be provided for middle school students who are at risk of developing tuberculosis.

Neither gender differences nor grade differences were found in the relationships between after school self-care and problem behaviors. Moderating effects of care by relatives or neighbors on mother's support was shown in the relationships between after school self-care and internal problem behaviors. Moderating effects of proximity to harmful facilities were found in relationships between after school self-care and external problem behaviors.

  • Purpose : Health Risk behaviors are a leading cause of preventable morbidity and mortality. Adolescents is a critical transitional period for establishing health behavior for healthy life. The purpose of this study was to describe the types and frequency of the health risk behaviors being performed by middle school students, examine the gender and grade differences of health risk behaviors, and identify the relationship among health risk behaviors. Methods : A total of 1952 early adolescents recruited from 7 middle schools in a district of urban setting completed questionnaires. Youth Risk Behavior Survey-Middle school questionnaires was used to identify the types of health risk behaviors among early adolescents. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Chi-Square test using SAS program . Results : The results showed the frequency for most health risk behaviors and increased with advancing grade level. Males were more likely than females to behaviors related to smoking and violence, whereas females were more likely than males to have suicidal thoughts, be physical inactive and attempt to lose weight. Among health risk behaviors, the relationship of alcohol experience, smoking, and suicide was high. Conclusion : The findings identify a high risk target group among middle school adolescents and suggest that preventive intervention strategies should take into consideration the types with gender and grade, and provided the evidence that one of health risk behaviors may induce the other health risk behaviors.

The subjects were 356 children in the 6th grade selected from six elementary schools in Seoul and Keunggi-Do. The subjects were asked to complete the questionnaire on ego-identity and perceived parental behaviors. The data was analyzed by Mean, SD, Cronbach's α, Pearson's correlation and Multiple Regression. The major findings were as follows : 1. The level of income(antecedent variable) was significantly related with perceived parental behavior(mediator) and ego-identity of school-aged children(dependent variable). 2. The effects of level of income on ego-identity of school-aged children became lower after control of the effects of perceived parental behaviors. In other words, perceived parental behaviors partially mediated the effects of level of income on ego-identity of school-aged children.
