In a fast-paced information technology environment, consumption of video content is changing from one-way television viewing to VOD (Video on Demand) playing anywhere, anytime, on any device. This video-watching trend gives additional importance to videos with fine-speed-control, in addition to the strength of the digital video signal. Currently, many video players provide a fine-speed-control function which can speed up the video to skip a boring part, or slow it down to focus on an exciting scene. The audio information is just as important as the visual information for understanding the content of the speed-controlled video. Thus, a number of algorithms for fine-speed-control video-playing technologies have been proposed to solve the pitch distortion in the audio-processing area. In this study, well-known techniques for prosodic modification of speech signals, WSOLA (Waveform-Similarity-Based Overlap-Add), have been applied to analyze users' needs for fine-speed-control video playing. By surveying the users' preferred speeds on categorized video content and analyzing the results, this paper proposes that various fine-speed adjustments are needed to accommodate users' preferred video consumption.
This thesis will observe and study the acting pattern and subtext of Ahn, Sung-kee who is known to be "The Nation's Actor" in South Korea's movie industry and currently has been on the screen with multiple different characters in about 120 films. He started his career as a child actor in Kim, Ki-young's movie at the age of five. Ahn is exceptional at communicating through solely on screen in terms of delivering characters' characteristics to audience with variety of characters. We provided some of the acting patterns he has shown in different roles of characters that he played such as in comedic, mellow and extraordinary acting. Following will be analysis on subtext of Professor Kim, Kyung-ho the role Ahn played in Jung, Ji-young's movie in terms of what type of factors was prepared and how it has delivered in each important scene. Generally, acting's basic skills and talents are similar between theater and movie. However, in movies, understanding of shots and preparation is needed. To deliver this well, a depth study of those characteristics such as expression method of subtext and continuous practice is necessary. Based on researches, we will talk about how important screen actors need to understand and prepare those characteristics when they act their roles and express the subtext of each character.

A vanishing point is a point where parallel lines converge, and they become evident when a camera's lenses are used to project 3D space onto a 2D image plane. Vanishing point detection is the use of the information contained within an image to detect the vanishing point, and can be utilized to infer the relative distance between certain points in the image or for understanding the geometry of a 3D scene. Since parallel lines generally exist for the artificial structures within images, line-detection-based vanishing point-detection techniques aim to find the point where the parallel lines of artificial structures converge. To detect parallel lines in an image, we detect edge pixels through edge detection and then find the lines by using the Hough transform. However, the various textures and noise in an image can hamper the line-detection process so that not all of the lines converging toward the vanishing point are obvious. To overcome this difficulty, it is necessary to assign a different weight to each line according to the degree of possibility that the line passes through the vanishing point. While previous research studies assigned equal weight or adopted a simple weighting calculation, in this paper, we are proposing a new method of assigning weights to lines after noticing that the lines that pass through vanishing points typically belong to artificial structures. Experimental results show that our proposed method reduces the vanishing point-estimation error rate by 65% when compared to existing methods.
A pen name Chuman(秋巒; a mountain of Fall), Jeong Ji-wun(1509-1561) is a famous person wrote "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" which made two men, Yi Hwang and Ki Dae-$s{\breve{u}}ng$ dispute Sachil-Nobyeon(traditional argument about heart/mind). But except this point, few people of nowadays know who Jeong Ji-wun was. Therefore this paper is made for understanding Jeong Ji-wun in the point of view in history of thought. "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" by Jeong Ji-wun had systemized traditional theory of Cheonil-Habil(sky and human are an organic body), through this theory, Jeong Ji-wun had taken an important role who developed the Neo-Confucian theory in the field of political thought at that time. All Neo-Confucian literati used the theory of heart/mind as a sole useful method in political field from after King Myeonjong and Seonjo. "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" by Jeong Ji-wun was a first step to this scene. Especially "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" was got famous by arguments of Yi Hwang and Ki $Dae-s{\breve{u}}ng$, great scholars in the history of Chosun Dynasty. They firstly developed Sachil-Nobyeon, Sandan(pure morality) comes from li, Chiljeong(emotions) comes from Ch'i, is it right or not? This argument with "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" raised up the level of Neo-Confucian theory at that time. Like this, "Cheonmyeong-Doseol" was on the first step for Neo-Confucian literati to study and develop their theory of political thought which covered politics in Chosun Dynasty.
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing conflict transition through the conflict transition process experienced by college graduates with early careers. The participants of this study were in-depth interviews with a total of 8 young people aged 25-34 who graduated from college and found their common subjects in all cases. As a result, the topics such as 'lack of recognition and compensation', 'unfairness of supervisor', 'characteristics of job (interdependence, autonomy)' were derived. 'Lack of recognition and compensation' brought about a sense of skepticism about the idea that even though they worked hard, they could not be recognized. And it caused a conflict transition. When the participants felt the 'unfairness of the supervisor', the task conflicts were further amplified and it transfer to relationship conflict. Among the characteristics of 'job characteristics', when highly interdependent occupations were carried out, conflict transition was shown and conflict levels were high. On the other hand, the work environment with job autonomy showed job satisfaction and did not show conflict transition. This study has an academic significance in that it revealed the types of conflicts and conflict transfer factors experienced in early career status of college graduates. In addition, this research have the practical implications to improves the participants' understanding of the conflict transfer through actual scene in the workplace.
This paper investigates the process of change in the meaning of the term gongye (工藝) (nowadays it means craft) during Korea's transition to the modern era. The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (朝鮮王朝實錄) will serve as the basis for the examination of pre-modern usage, and the Korea-United States Treaty of 1882 for the changes that occurred between the translation from Chinese and from Japanese following the opening of the port . After the port opened, the meaning of gongye, which once broadly referred to the wide range of work of people from different fields, was narrowed down to singularly represent the manufacturing industry. Following the example of Japan, the first East Asian country to succeed in modernization, this new meaning of gongye was generally used in the context of embracing Western culture and creating industry. As industrialization emerged as a national mission, and new terminology was needed to express these new concepts, the Chinese characters used by the Japanese to translate Western concepts were directly imported and used without making any changes. Gongye was similar in meaning to gongeop (工業) (nowadays it means industry) at the time, and the two terms were used interchangeably. However, following the Japanese annexation of Korea, the cultural administration of the Governor-General imbued the term with artistic concepts, and gongye was differentiated from gongeop, As such, examining the establishment of terminology and concepts can be helpful for understanding the contradictions and problems of the Korean crafts scene, which were derived from a period in the past called the modern era.
This research investigates the causes of infringements related to authors' moral rights which has most conflict among moral rights of authorship, through analysis of judicial precedents and compare whether there subsists any differences in viewpoints between judicial precedent trend and those on behind the scene of broadcast production. Copyright is divided into intellectual property and moral rights of authorship. Right to the integrity of the work is part of moral rights of authorship and produce one content and used in various media. When the edit is needed to fit the organization and advertisement time, advanced consultation from the rightful owner or written consent is needed. However, under the time pressure or ignorance of copyright, the arbitrary edits are made and content is used. This infringes the right of the integrity of the work. When we produce and use cinematographic works and other audiovisual works, there are considerable variablilies stemming from authorship, production cost and program staff. Therefore, prior conscent is needed to acquire and use the copyright in a proper manner. However, due to production-oriented environment and low understanding of the copyright protection, we usually depend on the users' work practices rhather than insufficiency of copyright laws in dealing with the infringement of right to the industry. In conclusion, we need to provide meticulous work manual and to focus on systematic eduction of professional copyright manpower.
The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of self-acceptance and counselor activity self-efficacy on the relationship between counselor's perfectionism and psychological burnout. For this purpose, 325 data samples were collected from the counselors who are currently working. The results of this study are as follows. Self-oriented perfectionism had a significant positive correlation with other-oriented perfectionism, socially-prescribed perfectionism, and psychological burnout, while it is negatively correlated with counselor activity self-efficacy. Other-oriented perfectionism showed a significant positive correlation with socially-prescribed perfectionism and a negative correlation with self-acceptance and counselor activity self-efficacy. Socially-prescribed perfectionism was in a significant negative correlation with self-acceptance and counselor activity self-efficacy. Self-acceptance showed a significant positive correlation with counselor activity self-efficacy and a negative correlation with psychological burnout. The counselor activity self-efficacy was negatively correlated with psychological burnout. self-acceptance and counselor activity self-efficacy were identified as double mediation variables between counselor's perfectionism and psychological burnout. The results of this study can be used in the education scene to enhance the understanding of the psychological burnout of the counselor and deal with it. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed and suggestions for further research were made.

"The Man Standing Next" was a 'anger-character movie' that shows a fierce psychological game between the characters. Inspired by this point, it was analyzed the narrative structure of this film based on scene unit applying the 'Five-stage Anger Model' formulated by Lakoff and Kövecses and others. The results showed that the causality and feasibility of the protagonist's anger behavior were highly reflected above the model. In particular, among the five steps, the film-maker spent the longest time on 'anger control' justifying the hero's motivation for punishment or retaliation, while giving the shortest time to 'loss of control' to maximize the urgentness of the punitive actions. The detonator causing his anger at each stage was disposed two to six times each stage with neglect, contempt, arrogance, ostentation, mockery, unauthorized intervention, etc. Sneering of "Chief Security Officer" and insulting of "The President" make the protagonist feel the scorn of a terrible friend-murderer each functioned as a "rage trigger." In conclusion, the film follows the above sophisticated model in its narrative structure. Though it was a political drama that sets up a lot of anger scheme caused from public reasons, it reflects ordinary people's routine anger, which corresponds to 24 percent of the list of Nobaco's Provocation Inventory (PI). The producers elaborately reflected the anger procedure theory and balanced the public and private drivers of rage. It was considered to be derived from the intention to enhance communication with the audience increasing their understanding and aspiration for political movie that are usually heavy and unfamiliar.

The purpose of this study is to derive the characteristics of the creative process of convergence performing arts. Therefore, the PADAF-Play and Dance Art Festival, a representative convergence performing arts festival in Korea that has been held steadily every year since the first event in 2011, was selected as the subject of the study. Through PADAF, a representative convergence performing arts festival in Korea, qualitative case studies were selected through process-oriented discovery to study the characteristics of the creative process of convergence performing arts, which is a key feature of performing arts in the 21st century. For realistic and empirical research, the 8th and 9th PADAF participated in the entire process from the initial stage of preparation to the closing ceremony and conducted several in-depth interviews with PADAF officials and participating artists. Looking at the characteristics of the convergence performance art creation process through PADAF, creators overcame difficulties that they had not thought of in different ways in the process of meeting different heterogeneous genres, but through understanding other genres, experiential values through convergence, sharing as collaborators, and various ways of communication. The characteristics of the convergence performing arts creation process, which is focused on PADAF, are "Rhizom thinking" by French philosopher Gilles Deleuze(1925-1995), "Collective intelligence," and "Experimental Value for Experimental Creation" by creators. Through this derivation, we will help the changing performing arts scene based on the basic human desire to understand convergence performance art a little more and communicate through the extended expression of convergence.
