  • Patient satisfaction is an important factor in evaluating the quality of care. Patient satisfaction may be used to evaluate provider services and facilities, and used to predict the patient returns to a facility. The patients d whether the patient returns to a facility or whether the patient recommends the facility to other people may be affected by a variety of factors of patient satisfaction. Low satisfaction may result in poor compliance with the potential of waste of resources and suboptimal clinical outcome. This study is to identify factors of patient satisfaction that will affect patients decision whether the patient returns or not. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted in Seoul, Chung-Joo and Bu-Cheon cities, Survey data was obtained from 743 patients who visited the physical therapy practice at university hospitals, general hospitals and clinics. Response rate was 94.4%. The instrument developed by Goldstein et al. (2000) was used and translated into Korean. Several items were added to the instrument. Patient's opinions of service in each domain measured using 5-point Likert-type scales that ranged from strongly disagree to strongly agree. A multiple-regression analytic approach was used to predict overall satisfaction of physical therapy. Age, kindness, scheduling, convenience of parking, privacy, and waiting time predicted the overall satisfaction of physical therapy. The older patients had higher level of satisfaction with physical therapy compared with the younger patients. Patient satisfaction were more affected by access (scheduling and waiting time), administrative technical management (convenience of parking), and interpersonal management (kindness of physical therapists and other staffs) than clinical technical management (physical therapists' skills).

The professional self-concept was correlated with nurse image (r=.22, p<.012) and major satisfaction (r=.20, p<.019). Regression analysis showed that nurse image and major satisfaction were statistically significant in predicting professional self-concept. Therefore, elevation of nursing students' professional self-concept will have a positive effect on nurse image and major satisfaction before and after clinical practice.

Method: The participants in the program were 82 inactive nurses and the development and evaluation of the program followed ADDIE. To develop the program, general characteristics and demand on re-entry into the job market were investigated. Satisfaction level of the program and confidence in nursing practice were measured to evaluate it. Result: Participants were 45 years old, had 6 years' clinical experience, and had 14 inactive career years on average. The program included basic and core education courses, and a clinical course. The participants were satisfied with its management, and 80.3 percent of them agreed with the need for the program. Also, clinical sites and instructors in the clinical course were satisfactory. Participants gained high confidence in nursing practice skills. Conclusion: The study showed the goal of the program was accomplished by motivating inactive nurses for re-entry to the work force and enhancing capability in duty. The program needs standardizing, and field adaptability should be strengthened through clinical practice. An evaluation tool for the program has to be developed.

Methods: The research design was a non-equivalent control group with a non-synchronized design. The participants were the patients undergoing gynecologic laparoscopy. Data were collected from July, 2014 through January, 2015. The participants in the experimental group (n=35) received an assessment of risk factors of PONV, aroma therapy, and P6 acupressure method as recommended in the guidelines. Those in the control group (n=35) received usual nursing care. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test using SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Results: The occurrence of nausea and vomiting, the level of nausea and vomiting, and the need for antiemetic medicine in the experimental group were significantly less than those in the control group after surgery. The levels of postoperative pain and the amounts of time for nursing activities in the experimental group were significantly reduced than those in the control group after surgery. The levels of satisfaction were significantly higher in the experiment group than that of the control group. Conclusion: The evidence-based guidelines is recommended for nursing practice as a guidance for managing PONV and helping the recovery of patients after laparoscopic surgery.

The participants were 318 nursing students. who were recruited from the 2 Department of Nursing in B Metropolitan and 2 Department of Nursing in Gyeongsangnam-do. The structured questionnaire was self-administered from November 1 to 30, 2019. Data were analyzed through the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program using descriptive statistics, Independent t-test와 one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. According to the results of this study, Mean score for academic burnout in nursing student was 2.58 out of 4 point. The factors of satisfaction with clinical practice(β=-.393, p<.001), satisfaction with nursing major(β=-.188, p<.001), responses to violence experience(β=.176, p<.001), perceived health status(β=-.156, p<.001) attacker(β=.135, p=.002), resilience(β=-.118, p=.016)were impact on the academic burnout level of nursing students. The total explanatory power accounted for 45.9%. In conclusion, since clinical practice satisfaction and major satisfaction are the factors that have the greatest influence on academic burnout, it is necessary to develop various educational strategies and a student counseling program to reduce negative reactions after experiencing violence and improve resilience. • The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting employment stress among Emergency Department students and reduce stress of employment. A questionnaire survey was administered to 276 students who experienced clinical practice among 4 emergency college students in Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do at 4-year and 3-year colleges from September 10 to 15, 2017. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 program and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. In the results, there were significantly negative correlations between clinical training stress and major satisfaction (r=-0.192, p=0.001), significantly positive correlations between career stress and clinical training stress (r=0.222, p<0.001), and significantly negative correlations between career stress and major satisfaction (r=-0.245, p<0.001). In the multi-regression analysis, the following was discovered: higher clinical training stress (${\beta}=0.157$, p=0.005), lower major satisfaction (${\beta}=-0.211$, p<0.001), and higher career stress. Junior students (${\beta}=0.237$, p<0.001) and senior students (${\beta}=0.288$, p<0.001) had the highest career stress. Subjects with medium-level financial status had high career stress (${\beta}=0.173$, p=0.012). Therefore, this study suggests that colleges should reduce clinical training stress among emergency medical technology students, and more job support centers should be opened and job management programs developed.
