IMO의 대기오염규제에 따른 기술적 대응전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Technical Strategy in the IMO Air Pollution Prevention)

  • As conservation of global environment has becoming a major outstanding issue of the world, the International Maritime Organization(IMO) has been legislation a convention for prevention of air pollution from ships. By the new convention, use of air pollutants such SOx, NOx, Freon and Halin Gas shall be restricted. In this regards, analysing these requirements of the convention is required as the cinvention will also be applied in restriction of descharging exhaust gases from ships by estsblishing a requirement of Sox and NOx discharged. The purpose of this study is as follows; 1) Introdcuing of the backgrounds of legislating the convention for prevention of air pollution from ships and major contents of the convention and a countermeasuures in the convention by Korea 2) Reviewing by analyzing the influence in domestic industries concernd by restriction of SOx, NOx in exhaust gases and sulpher content of fuel oil 3) Preparing a countermeasure in the convention properly.

  • 세계의 모든 나라가 화석연료를 대체하는 태양광, 풍력 등의 그린에너지 기술개발에 주력하고 있으며, 한편으로는 에너지의 효율제고 및 재생을 위하여 폐기물로부터의 자원순환을 이룩하는 폐기에너지 회수에도 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 그 하나의 방편이 버려지는 쓰레기에서 에너지를 회수하는 고형재생연료인 RDF(생활폐기물 고형연료 제품, Refuse Derived Fuel) 생산이다. 우리나라에서는 유일하게 강원도 원주시에서 하루 80톤을 생산하고 있으며 아직은 기술도입 초기단계에 있는 가연성폐기물의 연료화 기술이다. RDF의 특성은 불연성 성분이 제거된 일반 가연물을 분쇄하여 압출성형 가공한 펠릿형상의 고체연료로서의 열적 특성이 우수하나 화재안전 측면에서는 제조 및 취급공정에서의 일반적인 가연물 화재위험성을 가지고 있고, 저장과정에서는 축열발열에 의한 자연발화 위험성이 상존하며, 저장형태, 특히 사이로의 경우 구조특성으로 인하여 화재진압도 쉽지않다. 본 논문에서는 일본의 RDF 화재사례를 중심으로 그 화재 위험 특성과 안전대책을 고찰하고자 한다.

  • The interest about noise and vibration is increasing by a living level elevation recently. Particularly, the interest about the influence that vibration of machine has on the safety of building is rising. However, there are a lot of the cases that the influence of machine isn't considered in designing the factory buildings. The purpose of this study is to suggest the results of measuring that the influence of machine's vibration in A factory has on the building structure.

  • Rail crossings pose special safety concerns for modern railroad operation with faster trains. More than ninety percent of train operation-related accidents occurs on at-grade crossings. Surest countermeasure for this safety hazard is to eliminate at-grade crossings by constructing over/under pass or by closing them. These eliminations usually require substantial amount of investment and/or heavy public protest from those affected by them. Thorough and objective analysis are usually required, and valid accident prediction models are essential to the process. This paper developed an accident prediction model for Korean at-grade crossings. The model utilized many important factors such as guide personnel, highway traffic, train frequency, train sight distance, and number of tracks. Developed model was validated with actual accident data.

  • The railway industry of each country has variant technical standards and regulations unlike other industries. For this reason, it is necessary to investigate the domestic technical standards and regulations and to prepare the countermeasure of the variance for advancing the korean high-speed railroad system into foreign market. This study was designed to investigate the railway design/manufacturing, examination/inspection and safety of domestic and foreign countries subject to a world market for advancing the korean high-speed railroad system into a foreign market. Because the reliance of a railroad system is a prerequisite for the safety of railroads, it is very important to obtain the reliance data, which is based on the RMS analysis of foreign countries subject to a world market.

광물질 혼화재 및 석고를 사용한 고강도 콘크리트의 슬럼프 손실 (Slump Loss of High Strength Concrete Containing Mineral Admixture and Gypsum)

  • High strength concrete(HSC) using high range water reducing admixture (HRWR) has the defect which severe slump loss occurs according to elapsed time. For using HSC without any trouble, special caution and countermeasure against this problem are necessary. In this study, for minimizing the slump loss of HSC, mineral admixture( flyash, ground granulated blast furnace slag ) and gypsum were used experimentally. Flyash and ground granulated blast furnace slag are effective in reducing the slump loss of HSC. Especially, the slump loss of HSC containing mineral admixture and gypsum Is minimized by the aggregation inhibiting action of gypsum. Cement substituted with flyash 30% or ground granulated blast furnace slag 50% by weight are very effective in minimizing the slump loss.

  • In the event of fire, the tendency of over­buildings and high­building resulted from the concentration in population in cities causes great losses of human lives and property. Man is able to prevent fire itself from taking place on his own efforts. One of fire preventions at high­buildings is to Survey the environmental situations around the constructions from the beginning, and when the construction is going on, it is indispensable to install appropriate water­proof dampers with all sorts of equipments. Hence, lots of the owner's investment of the buildings in fire prevention facilities is necessary and, so is constructions in agreement with every regulations.

병원 내 다양한 구역의 미끄럼 위험성 평가 연구 (The Evaluation for Slip Risk of Various Hospital's zones)

  • Floor slipperiness is a leading cause in slip and fall accidents which are a major source of occupational injuries in Korea. Researchers have estimated the slip and fall related accidents rank number one or two in number of the injured. The objectives of this study were to find the field contamination effect and improvement countermeasure. Slipping and falling are common accidents in large public facilities, especially facility which vulnerable adults generally use as like hospital. So, we measured the coefficient of friction of several floors on the floor in hospital, under dry and wet using BOT-3000. The results of the coefficient of friction measurements showed that floor type and surface conditions were all significant factors affecting the coefficient of friction. The most surprising finding of this study was that there were significant friction improvement when the floors were properly cleaned with cleaning equipments.

  • The fact that the major cases of life casualties are from smoke in the fire accidents and the expected steep increase of skyscrapers, huge spaces, multiplexes and huge scaled underground spaces demand establishment of efficient smoke countermeasure. The field experiments on pressure differential systems for smoke management in two high buildings of 20 stories and 21 stories are carried out to evaluate the features of airflow through open door between accommodation and lobby. The procedures and results of experiments are presented.

  • In these days, there is doubt about the effectiveness of ISO-9000 and ISO-14000 which are generally introduced in korean corporation by the consensus and even by corporations themselves. In order to find out the reason about the doubt, we should understand the present situation, and consider what countermeasure shall we take. It's obvious that if there is no doubt about the effectiveness and availability for quality system authenticated and verified by the international, then all the authentication can be made from that excellent system. In that case, it is necessary to find out whether it only exists in Korea or it generally exists internationally. This thesis considers the problems and try to search for a system management project and measure which is suitable for Korea.
