This study presents a diagnosis of SI project environment and risk management practices in Korea. In particular, the stability of project environment, required skills for project managers, risk factors and usefulness of risk management activities are surveyed and analysed. Factor analysis and correlation analysis are performed to investigate any significant relationships among various risk management factors. The results indicate that SI project environment is not stable in Korea, and risk management can be a primary project management tool to deal with the situation. The results also that there's little significant difference in understanding not only between the clients and developers, but alto between the experienced managers and less experienced managers.

Many companies consider environment management system as the main back-bone system. Also, risk management is considered as hot issue in world wide leading companies. In view of efficiency , it is necessary to combine or integrate the environment management system and the risk management system. In this paper, we aim to propose an approach to integrate the environment management system(ISO 14001) and the risk management system (JIS Q 2001).

The risk assessment model is an important subsystem for effective establishment and operation of EMS (environment management system). In case of poor risk assessment long-term and large-scale failure expense might be brought. Managing policy, target and other indices based on risk assessment can guarantee successful EMS. In this paper, we aim at comparative analysis of various risk methods and propose an alternative risk assessment model for EMS.

Recent discussions in the active growth strategy based on getting a green environment, changes in the management of companies involved in environmental management is the analysis of various risk factors and the green growth at the same time the company's growth strategy is required. The development of the aviation industry and the changes in the military operation mission environment are demanding more long - distance operation (long - time flight), and such a flying environment is a risk factor for fatigue - related accidents. For the aviation related organizations such as ICAO and FAA, fatigue risk management system (FRMS) are applied along with flight time restriction regulations to prevent fatigue related accidents. The most important process in FRMS is fatigue risk management. Fatigue risk management systematically manages fatigue through scientific fatigue risk data collection and fatigue risk assessment. The purpose of this study is to applicate the assessment of scientific fatigue risk management to pilots of airplanes engaged in long flight. We reviewed the current state of risk management and FRMS through previous research. We also developed fatigue risk management indicators and examined the validity of internationally recognized fatigue risk data collection methods and fatigue risk assessment tools. There are 134 mission (flight) data used for development. In order to verify the indicators, the fatigue risk score between the items was assigned through pair-wise comparison. In addition, the verify test results were normalized.

Construction sites have gradually become bigger and bigger according to Korea economic growth. Also use of tower crane and other heavy equipment has been increased. The increased use of heavy equipment like tower crane is leading to fatality incident. This study will verify hazards to influence tower crane incident through structural and positive verification and find which hazard influence incident risk. The result of this study is as follows. First, while there is a significant difference between safety managers and tower crane operators for working environment, safety management, personal manage among risk factors, we can not find any evidence on the difference in perception of tower crane incident risk between them. Second, task manage risk and personal manage risk has a significant positive effect on perception of tower crane incident risk. Third, while site environment risk has a significant positive moderating effect of task type between risk factors and perception of tower crane incident risk, personal environment risk has a significant negative moderating effect between them.

Korea and other countries have made various efforts to preserve soil. During the past several decades, Korea has implemented various policies on soil conservation practices; however, those policies have often lacked consideration of human and ecosystem risk management. while other countries have practiced various policies closely related to risk-based management for contaminated sites. Therefore, there is a great need for a paradigm shift of policy to better manage contaminated sites in risk-based strategies, while applying different management plans for soil and groundwater. In addition, the new policies should be administered with provision to improve soil health and related functions in ecosystem. This study has reviewed the trend in relevant policies in Korea and foreign countries to suggest the future policy directions for contaminated site management in Korea. For better management of contaminated sites, coherent policy that could complement the law, system, and relevant technology is required.

For the continuous growth of firms, the contributions of effective risk management system are required. This research analyzes the impact on the firm's performance related to risk management structure which includes the risk management system, risk management activity and risk management competency. In this research, the structural equation model considering the variable which contains enterprise risk management system, risk management activity and risk management competency was suggested. Also risk management organization and management procedures are identified as in enterprise risk management system. The implementation activity and control activity were the factors related in risk management activity. And risk management competency can be described as the response level of managing risk in outside and inside the firms' environment. Finally this model was analysed empirically for 112 firms in Korea using SPSS 18.0 and Amos 16.0. As the results, the suggested hypothesis were adopted. So as to manage risk performance for their firms, the development of systematic Risk Management Framework is important for their risk management activity and risk management competency. Ultimately, we can conclude that the focusing to the systematic risk management approach could be effective on the firm's risk management performance.

The purpose of this article was to examine the influence of physical environment on customer's buying-risk perception at franchise Korean restaurants. In this research factor analysis and multi regression analysis were used. Physical environment were divided to 3 factors and risk perception to 5 factors. Internal environment affected negatively financial risk (p<0.001), time risk (p<0.001) and psychological risk (p<0.001). External environment had negative influence on time risk (p<0.05) and psychological risk (p<0.05). And the other environment negatively affected financial risk (p<0.001), time risk (p<0.001) and psychological risk (p<0.05). According to these results, we confirmed that various physical environments influenced on the risk perception of customers. As a result, food service corporations need to deal with physical environment efficiently. And the findings of this research would help their business management to build effective service marketing strategies and to satisfy the needs of customers at franchise Korean restaurants.

As the chemical industry becomes more advanced, the awareness of chemical accidents is rising, and legal systems for chemical safety management are strengthened. In this study, quantitative risk assessment of liquid chlorine leak was conducted. Risk assessment was performed in the order of frequency analysis, consequence analysis, and risk calculation. The individual risk was presented in the form of contour lines. The social risk was expressed by the FN curve. The risk of day and night was in an unacceptable area, so it was required to mitigate risk. Therefore in-building, which could trap the pool, was selected as a risk mitigation measure. As a result of the cost benefit analysis, it was concluded that this measure should be reasonably implemented.
