Choosing the best-performance materials is a crucial task for the successful completion of a project in the construction field. In general, the process of material selection is performed through the use of information by a highly experienced expert and the purchasing agent, without the assistance of logical decision-making techniques. For this reason, the construction field has considered various artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to support decision systems as their own selection method. This study proposes the application of a systematic and efficient support vector machine (SVM) model to select optimal exterior materials. The dataset of the study is 120 completed construction projects in South Korea. A total of 8 input determinants were identified and verified from the literature review and interviews with experts. Using data classification and normalization, these 120 sets were divided into 3 groups, and then 5 binary classification models were constructed in a one-against-all (OAA) multi classification method. The SVM model, based on the kernel radical basis function, yielded a prediction accuracy rate of 87.5%. This study indicates that the SVM model appears to be feasible as a decision support system for selecting an optimal construction method.

본 연구에서는 성격유형별로 좋아하는 책들의 특성이 무엇인지를 밝혀내기 위하여 작품의 분석기준을 만들어 제시하고, 그 기준으로 성격유형별 선호도서의 내용을 분석하여 특성을 밝히고자 한다. 이 목적을 위하여 문헌연구를 통하여 분석기준을 만들고, 이 기준에 따라 초등학교 도서관 3개관을 대상으로 6학년 학생들이 대출한 도서를 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 성격유형별로 선호하는 도서의 양상이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 이 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 어린이들의 성격유형에 따른 새로운 독서교육 프로그램을 개발하는데 유용하게 사용될 것이다.

The present study is a literature survey aimed at . providing a means to improve the bibliographic apparatuses for Korean studies. The need for a study like this has proven urgent with the promotion of Korean studies both within and without in recent years. The study examines the social science literature on Korea produced in English between 1876 and 1945(A study is under way for literature since 1945 also). Selection of the titles for investigation was made on the basis of the relative importance of the works confirmed after reading book reviews and examining a variety of bibliographies. Each title selected was examined in terms of its subject matter, contribution to the discipline it belongs, references cited, relations with similar works in the field, and bibliographic features. Published books, dissertations both published or not published, and periodicals are included. Primarily a critical review it is also designed to provide background information on the present status of Korean studies and the historical development of Western studies on Korea. Special attenttion is given to the factors contributing to the foundations of the modern Western scholarchip on Korea in the late 19th century.

Although the number of dual low-income families continues to increase, working mothers are suffering from difficulties from housework and child rearing due to the economic difficulties and poor residential environment. By understanding the needs about community space and child-care support services, this study will look into planning cooperative child-care environments for dual low-income families with infants and children. Through purposive sampling this research targeted 151 dual income families with an average monthly income level of 1-3 in Seoul. The collected data was analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and independent sample t-test using SPSS. The research results are as follows: According to the review, respondents responded positively to cooperative child-care. Out of the 20 general community spaces, the need for an indoor playground, recreation room, day nursery, separate garbage and reading room ranked high. Overall, 21 child-care community spaces and 11 child-care support services were generally rated highly.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the science gifted children's creativity and scientific attitude development by e-PBL based scientific writing program. This program is composed of 4 instructions (13 hours), and its learning contents are made up to guide reading the related science books and understanding the contents through mind map to find out a solution by themselves, also, making an independent problem into group issue and setting up the plan for solution through small group cooperative learning, finally, performing activities like writing, presentation, evaluation and discussion according to the plan for solution. To examine the effect of creativity and scientific attitude by the program, 40 students of elementary science gifted children group in the Busan national university of education were selected for an experimental group. The review result is that, Firstly, the program affected positively creativity improvement of elementary science gifted children, Secondly, the program affects positively scientific attitude improvement of them as well. In conclusion, the program affects positively their creativity and scientific attitude.

United Nations Commission on International Trade Law(hereinafter"UNCITRAL"), the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of international trade law, is currently in the process of preparing a draft instrument on the international carriage of goods. In order to facilitate and prompt for new draft instrument, Working Group Ⅲ was established under the auspicious of UNCITRAL in 2002. Working Group, which was composed of all member countries of UNCITRAL, considered the text of preliminary draft instrument on the carriage of goods by sea. According to the Working Group's report, this new convention deals with issues relating to the international ocean carriage of goods such as the scope of application, the period of responsibility of the carrier, liability of the carrier, obligations of the shipper and transport documents including electronic records. In the course of the second reading, however, there are lots of outstanding issues to deliberate and consider for formulating new version of the ocean cargo liability convention. One of the substantial issues is the snail's pace of progress in last sessions. Therefore legal adviser and industry representatives assume the next UNCITRAL meeting, in Vienna, Nov. 29-Dec. 10, would be more critical to complete the convention.

More and Tore emphasis is put on moral treatment in the care of psychiatric patients. Methods employed for moral treatment rake use of therapeutic activity for the mentally ill patient. In some psychiatric hospitals all of the therapeutic activities are categorized as occupational therapy, while in others these activities are departmentally categorized -recreational, musical, occupational and bibliotherapy. All of these constitute separate departmental therapies. By research, it is known at this time, that the above activities have been of great help in personality integration, reeducation and early recovery of patients, as well as in their social adjustment after discharge. The goal of these therapeutic activities incorporate the goals set by healthier interpersonal relationship and psychotherapy. Put the therapeutic activities require a prolonged time of therapy for effectiveness, economic support, special trained personnel, careful planning, guidance and proper evaluation. Therefore this treatment is a very complicated one. But it may be the most profitable therapy for certain patients. One true fact about this treatment is, that simple recreation, occupation, music, reading, etc., make the patients life in the ward more interesting and have a good effect on the interpersonal relationship between patients. Thus it has been proved that this kind of treatment demands the active and full participation of the personnel and the full support of the hospital administration.

본 연구는 현재 시행되고 있는 영재교육에서 상대적으로 적은 관심을 받고 있는 언어 영재 교육의 필요성과 방향을 탐색하기 위한 시도로써 이루어졌다. 과학 문명의 발전을 위해 과학 영재교육이 필요하다면, 인류 문화의 발전을 위해서는 여러 분야의 영재교육이 골고루 이루어져야 한다. 특히 언어가 주가 되는 여러 분야의 전문가들에 의해 우리의 문화, 예술의 경쟁력을 높일 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 효과적인 언어 영재 교육이 이루어지기 위한 준비로서 현재 우리나라 언어 영재교육의 현황을 분석하고, 언어 영재교육의 필요성과 방향을 탐색하여, 언어 영재교육의 내실화를 기할 수 있는 기초를 제공하였다. 언어 영재교육이 올바르게 이루어지기 위해서는 무엇보다도 언어 영재들에 대한 잘못된 인식을 변화시켜 언어 영재 교육의 필요성을 깨닫도록 해야 하며, 언어 영재에 관한 기초 연구를 실시하여 언어 영재성 및 특성을 이해할 수 있어야하며, 언어 영재와 기타 다른 영역의 영재들을 위할 프로그램을 개발하여야한다.

Colin Rowe was an important historian, theorist and critic in Modern architecture. His significance in Modern architectural history lies in not only historiography which has changed our view of Modernism but deep theoretical involvement in practice. This study is a critical review and analysis on his formalist approach in Architecture. With a view that his position of formalist has indispensible relationship with liberalism from K. Popper's critical rationalism, this study try to show how his philosophical background has an influence upon his way of seeing architecture, history, form, urbanism, and meaning, etc. And this study also try to explain why the principle of architecture as an autonomous discipline which is the main point of view in Rowe's criticism has been so successful and influential. This study also explain what is the possibility and limitation of Rowe's formalist approach and way of reading buildings. His intelligent way of formal analysis can give us new understandings of how the form generates and the process of design goes on. Furthermore it guide us a new horizon of architecture as a language game. Since his early writings showed both side of formalist approach in architecture and it didn't changed a lot. We can understand his 'Collage City' was a his final answer to his formalist way of making architecture and urbanism. we can estemate it as a utopia without utopianism and an ideology without ideological color.

The purpose of this study is to consider the works of Nick Knight, the most influential fashion visual maker, to find out the characteristics of his works. For the research method, literature reviews were done by studying his book, viewing the articles on his official web site, reading journal review of his works and his interview articles. For the work analysis, fashion brands 'Christian Dior', 'Alexander McQueen', 'Martin Margiela', 'Hussein Chalayan' and 'Gareth Pugh' that have worked with Nick Knight were selected. The characteristics of his fashion works were derived from overall analysis of fashion visual works. The characteristics of Nick Knight's works are as follows. First is the 'innovation of image expression'. He used digital infra in advance and introduced digital images at the initial stage. He used fashion films as the means of communication and tried new image expressions in 3D. Second is 'breaking down the boundaries of creating process'. He worked with various field experts to make high quality works. He invited the public to participate in his creative process through the internet. Third is 'breaking down the categories of aesthetic expression'. He provided a wide variety of aesthetic standard and refused aesthetic stereotype. He broke the boundaries between fashion and art with a unique technique and high values.
