  • Even large construction projects of nuclear power plant construction and production data is increasing dramatically due to the introduction of ICT technologies, such as 3D scanning technology, wireless communication technology, virtual construction management technology. There are various attributes and types of data to be produced and managed because the documents generated by the contract method are different from the cost processing method. According to the requirements of the international nuclear bid, it is required to present the cost that is calculated based on resource quantity. This research considers ways in which the cost management based on the resource quantity.

  • To make a satisfactory decision regarding project scheduling, a trade-off between the resource-related cost and project duration must be considered. A beneficial method for decision makers is to provide a number of alternative schedules of diverse project duration with minimum resource cost. In view of optimization, the alternative schedules are Pareto sets under multi-objective of project duration and resource cost. Assuming that resource cost is closely related to resource leveling, a heuristic algorithm for resource capacity reduction (HRCR) is developed in this study in order to generate the Pareto sets efficiently. The heuristic is based on the fact that resource leveling can be improved by systematically reducing the resource capacity. Once the reduced resource capacity is given, a schedule with minimum project duration can be obtained by solving a resource-constrained project scheduling problem. In HRCR, VNS (Variable Neighborhood Search) is implemented to solve the resource-constrained project scheduling problem. Extensive experiments to evaluate the HRCR performance are accomplished with standard benchmarking data sets, PSPLIB. Considering 5 resource leveling objective functions, it is shown that HRCR outperforms well-known multi-objective optimization algorithm, SPEA2 (Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm-2), in generating dominant Pareto sets. The number of approximate Pareto optimal also can be extended by modifying weight parameter to reduce resource capacity in HRCR.

Third, computed Resource Based Relative Value(RBRV) scores and nursing expenses of hemodialysis nurse. Finally, estimated nursing cost for hemodialysis of secondary hospitals, Result & Conclusion : The mean RBRV scores for each nursing behaviors were from 218.9 to 383.9 point(mean=312.7). The high RBRV socres were 383.9(Complication during hemodialysis), 353.7(Access patient vascular), 345.7 (Patient Teaching). Nursing cost for hemodialysis was estimated 23,234(won).

  • Mobile edge computing (MEC), which enables mobile terminals to offload computational tasks to a server located at the user's edge, is considered an effective way to reduce the heavy computational burden and achieve efficient computational offloading. In this paper, we study a multi-user MEC system in which multiple user devices (UEs) can offload computation to the MEC server via a wireless channel. To solve the resource allocation and task offloading problem, we take the total cost of latency and energy consumption of all UEs as our optimization objective. To minimize the total cost of the considered MEC system, we propose an DRL-based method to solve the resource allocation problem in wireless MEC. Specifically, we propose a Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic (A3C)-based scheme. Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic (A3C) is applied to this framework and compared with DQN, and Double Q-Learning simulation results show that this scheme significantly reduces the total cost compared to other resource allocation schemes

  • As the utilization of microservice architectural style in diverse applications are increasing, the microservice deployment cost became a concern for many companies. We propose an approach to reduce the deployment cost by generating an algorithm which minimizes the cost of basic operation of a physical machine and the cost of resources assigned to a physical machine. This algorithm will produce optimal resource allocation and deployment location based on genetic algorithm process.

  • Purpose: This study was carried out to substantiate the application process of activity-based costing on the current cost of hospital home care (HHC) service. The study materials were documents, 120 client charts, health insurance demand bills, salary of 215 HHC nurses, operating expense, 6 HHC agencies, and 31 HHC nurses. Method: The research was carried out by analyzing the HHC activities and then collecting labor and operating expenses. For resource drivers, HHC activity performance time and workload were studied. For activity drivers, the number of HHC activity performances and the activity number of visits were studied. Result: The HHC activities were classified into 70 activities. In resource, the labor cost was 245₩per minute, operating cost was 9,570₩ per visit and traffic expense was an average of 12,750₩. In resource drivers, education and training had the longest time of 67 minutes. Average length of performance for activities was 13.7 minutes. The workload was applied as a relative value. The average cost of HHC was 62,741₩ and the cost ranged from 55,560₩ to 74,016₩. Conclusion: The fixed base rate for a visit in the current HHC medical fee should be increased. Exclusion from the current fee structure or flexible operation of traveling expenses should be reviewed.

  • Efficient scheduling and resource management are the key factor to reduce construction project budget (e.g., labor cost, equipment cost, material cost, etc.). Resource-based line of balance (LOB) technique has been used to complement the limitations of time-driven scheduling techniques (e.g., critical-path method). Optimizing construction alternatives contributes cost savings while honoring the project deadline. However, existing LOB scheduling is lack of identifying optimal resource combination. This study presents a method which identifies the optimal construction alternatives, hence achieving resource minimization in a repetitive construction by using genetic algorithm (GA). The method provides efficient planning tool that enhances the usability of the system.

  • A cost analysis for hospitalized patients was performed based on the RBRVS in order to determine an appropriate nursing fee schedule. The study was conducted through three phases as follows: 1) Nursing activities provided for the inpatients currently in Korea were identified and classified using a taxonomy which was developed by our research team through the Delphi process. 2) The resource-based relative points for every nursing activity according to nursing time, mental effort and judgement, technical skill, physical effort and stress were determined through a survey of 300 clinical RNs working at 5 tertiary hospitals from May 25 to July 25. 1998. 3) The nursing cost of every nursing activity for hospitalized patients was estimated based on the RBRVS. As a result, 136 nursing activities were identified and classified by nursing processes and nursing domains. However, our classification system of nursing activities should continue to be refined, and all nursing practices should be standardized. The nursing activities were given resource-based relative points ranging from 100 to 400 points, then each nursing activity was assigned a value for the RBRVS, which was determined by the exponential function of 2resource-based relative point/100. Thus, a value of 2 was calculated for 100 points, 4 for 200 points, 8 for 300 points, and 16 for 400 points. Meanwhile, the unit cost of nursing was calculated as 170 Won. The nursing cost of 136 nursing activities was estimated using the RBRVS as shown in

. A proper nursing fee schedule for a new reimbursement system based upon the results of the above study should be prepared in the near future.
