Phased-in 코드를 이용한 움직임 벡터 예측기의 효율적인 부호화 방법 (Efficient Coding of Motion Vector Predictor using Phased-in Code)

  • H.264/AVC 비디오 압축 표준은 압축 효율을 높이기 위해 다양한 크기의 블록을 사용하여 화면 사이의 움직임 예측을 수행한다. H.264/AVC는 가변적인 블록 크기의 움직임 보상을 통해 세밀한 영역의 움직임까지 예측할 수 있어 잔여 영상을 나타내는 정보량을 효과적으로 줄일 수 있다. 복호를 위해서는 각 블록의 움직임 벡터를 전송해야 하는데, 저비트율 환경에서는 움직임 벡터 정보가 전체 비트스트림의 약 40%를 차지한다. 움직임 벡터 정보량을 줄이기 위해 비디오 부호화 전문가 그룹(VCEG)에서는 다양한 움직임 벡터 예측(Motion Vector Competition) 방법을 제안하였다. 다양한 예측 움직임 벡터를 사용하여 실제 전송해야 할 움직임 벡터 차분값(Motion Vector Difference, MVD)의 크기를 줄이기 때문에 압축 효율을 높일 수 있다. 그러나 다양한 예측 움직임 벡터를 사용하기 때문에 선택된 예측 움직임 벡터의 인덱스 정보를 복호기로 전송해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 인덱스 정보를 효율적으로 전송하기 위해 Phased-in 코드를 기반으로 한 새로운 코드워드 표를 제안했다. 실험을 통해 제안한 방법을 이용하여 동일한 화질에서 평균 약 7.24%의 비트율을 절감할 수 있었고, 동일한 비트율에서는 평균 약 0.36dB의 화질을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents the new linear notion device so called \"inch-werm\" which gets large displacement by incrementally summing small displacements of PZT actuators. Dynamic stiffness of inch-worm is generally low compared to its driving condition due to the requirement of inch-worm like small size and light weight. This low stiffness may degenerate the positional precision of inch-worm. An inch-worm is realized using three PZT actuators, a monolithic moving device and a guide way frame. Finite element method and experimental approach are used to analyse the static and dynamic motion of the designed inch-worm. Command reference input is shaped to reduce the residual vibration of inch-worm. The practical feasibility of inch-worm is also examined by running tests.ing tests.

  • This paper proposes a new modeling scheme to describe the hysteresis between input voltage and displacement of piezoelectric actuators in the inchworm. From the experimental analysis of Piezoelectric actuator behaviors. the hysteresis characteristics including residual displacement can be modeled by second order functions of a maximum Input voltage and preload. Various experiments are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness and validation of the proposed modeling scheme.

Simulation of Tidal Fields around a Huge Floating Marina using a Multi-level Method

  • Floating marina has been interests as an alternative to the facilities for recreational boats because of its cost effectivenes and less environmental conflicts. For tile present research, a square floating marina with a length of 400m and draft of 5m was used. This marina can be extended to 800m by putting anotjer one together. Tidal field around tile marina was simulated using a multi-level finite difference method. Tidal motion was assumed sinusoidal in a closed rectangular bay. Velocities and residual current were investigated for two cases of single marina and two marinas installed in tile bay. It was found that the horizontal velocity fields from the water surface to the structure bottom around tile marina were affected. In the marina basin, magnitude of velocity was reduced considerably but overall quality of water circulation was preserved even after two marina were installed.

Uncalibrated Visual Servoing through the Efficient Estimation of the Image Jacobian for Large Residual

  • An uncalibrated visual servo control method for tracking a target is presented. We define the robot-positioning problem as an unconstrained optimization problem to minimize the image error between the target feature and the robot end-effector feature. We propose a method to find the residual term for more precise modeling using the secant approximation method. The composite image Jacobian is estimated by the proper method for eye-to-hand configuration without knowledge of the kinematic structure, imaging geometry and intrinsic parameter of camera. This method is independent of the motion of a target feature. The algorithm for regulation of the joint velocity for safety and stability is presented using the cost function. Adaptive regulation for visibility constraints is proposed using the adaptive parameter.

  • 본 연구는 인공신경망의 한 종류인 LSTM(Long Short-Term Memory) 기법을 활용하기 위하여 진행하였다. UTD(University of Texas at Dallas)가 공개한 27종 동작 데이터 중 3축 가속도 및 각속도 데이터를 기본 LSTM 및 Deep Residual Bidir-LSTM 기법에 적용하여 행동을 분류해 보았다.

  • 입력제어신호 변형은 유연한 빔의 진동을 감소시키는 중요한 수단이다. 본 논문에서는 유한시간에서 다중 모드인 유연한 빔의 오차 진동을 제거하는 매우 단순한 입력제어신호 변형 방법을 소개한다. 제어신호는 선형 방정식의 풀이에 의해 구성되어 진다. 유한시간 동안 원하는 동작의 모터 각도는 임의의 한정된 오차 진동을 제거함으로서 도달된다. 폐루프 구성에서 모터 각도에 대한 기준입력으로서의 제어신호 사용에 대한 필요한 조건들 또한 다루게 된다. 제안된 시스템 구성의 효과는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 증명된다.

타워크레인의 비선형 연성 운동 특성을 고려한 입력성형기 설계 (Input Shaper Design for Tower Crane in Consideration of Nonlinear Coupled Motions)

  • Input shaping has been a very effective control method for reducing payload swing in industrial bridge and gantry cranes. However, conventional input shapers often degrade performance when applied to tower cranes because of the nonlinear coupled dynamics between rotational and radial motions in tower cranes. To alleviate this problem, a new input shaper for tower cranes is developed by means of dynamic modeling, analysis and optimization. This work investigates the tower crane dynamics along with parameters of the tower crane varied. A performance index for input shaper design is proposed so as to reduce the coupled residual vibration of a tower crane using only rotational motion of tower crane. The proposed new input shaper is verified to be effective through simulations and experiments.

  • Shaping an input command through considering the resonant modes of multi degrees of freedom system, it is possible to realize the wanted motion, without exciting the uncontrollable modes of the flexible system. But, an increase of modes to be considered brings inevitably about the time delay due to an excessive rising time. On the purpose of reducing the rising time, only the interesting and dominant modes can be considered to determine the timing pulses of input shaper. In this paper, an effect of shaper by the partial modes is analysed for a specific system and the input shapers by the partial modes are analysed for three d.o.f damped system, using Matlab simulation.
