  • Demands for Korean Traditional Residence Complexes as a more humane resident space have recently been increasing for the purposes of users' health and convenience, built with the purpose of reflecting various trends. This study is aimed at examining the physical characteristics of design in residence complexes by analyzing the physical characteristics of the sound environment as auditory elements of Hanok Complexes and the relationship between spatial and visual test values. The results were shown as follows: In subjective evaluation at Hanok, Natural sounds were recognized higher but artificial sounds were lower. According to the interrelationship analysis between subjective evaluation and physical measurement values, entrance (regular-StdDev), yard (regular-NbEm, friendly-G), waterside (regular-articulation index(rooms), StdDev, $L_{min}$, Rem), etc had been shown highly related.

  • This examination was conducted as follows; 189 copies were coated in total, and demonstratively analyzed by SPSS WIN 15.0 program. The methods used in data for this analysis are as follows; Sensitivity, Reliability, Frequency, Internal consistency, One way ANOVA(Scheffe's examination) Analysis, T-test, etc. The findings of this study are as follows; firstly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of Italian restaurants regarded convenient transportation, property of space, property of pastoral, visibility, and accessibility as importance. This means that Italian restaurant marketers should consider some of factors of location for business with a good view, good parking lot, location at main street, smooth flow of traffic, luxury, atmosphere of freedom, clean area around restaurants, elegant interior of the building, comfortable, luxurious, and deluxe atmosphere, and so on. Secondly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of buffet restaurant either considered the same factors as the Italian restaurants above or regarded those factors less important. This suggests that restaurants should be located on main streets, on trunk roads, and in large-scale residential districts of apartment complex. Thirdly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of traditional restaurants did not consider the locational factors above. This shows that traditional restaurants should be located in nearby customers' houses or their working places, and that marketers should consider focusing on their restaurants' homelike atmosphere, cleanliness, food flavors, and so on.

  • We present analyses of ~1250 variable sources identified in a 20 square degree field toward NGC 2784 by the KMTNet Supernova Program. We categorize the variable sources into three groups based on their B-band variability. The first group consists of 31 high variability sources with their B-band RMS variability greater than 0.3 magnitudes. The second group of medium variability contains 265 sources with RMS variability between 0.05 and 0.3 magnitudes. The remaining 951 sources belong to the third group of low variability with an RMS variability smaller than 0.05 magnitudes. Of the entire ~1250 sources, 4 clearly show periods of variability greater than 100 days, while the rest have periods shorter than ~51 days or no reliable periods. The majority of the sources show either rather irregular variability or short periods faster than 2 days. Most of the sources with reliable period determination between 2 and 51 days belong to the low-variability group, although a few belong to the medium-variability group. All the variable sources with periods longer than 35 days appear to be very red with B - V > 1.5 and V - I > 2.1 magnitudes. We classify candidates of 51 Cepheids, 17 semi-regular variables, 3 Mira types, 2 RV(B) Tauri stars, 26 eclipsing binary systems and 1 active galactic nucleus. The majority of long-term variables in our sample belong to either Mira or semi-regular types, indicating that long-term variability may be more prominent in post-main sequence phases of late-type stars. The depth of the eclipsing dips of the 26 candidates for eclipsing binaries is equivalent to ~0.61 as the average relative size of the two stars in the binary system. Our results illustrate the power of the KMTNet Supernova Program for future studies of variable objects.

  • In this paper, we proposed problem and improvement of halftoning using random space filling curve. Random space filling curve is developed as a solution for shortcoming which space filling curve has self-similarity. It is used to reduce regular pattern can be occurred in constant brightness area in order that randomness apply to scanning path. But there is a problem that some area along scanning path can show too bright result in halftoning using random space filling curve. In this paper, we analyzed cause of problem and proposed single pixel error diffusion as a solution method. This method can avoid over-accumulated error and show better result in halftoning.

  • As most modern architectures had been constructed aiming at only both self-reliance and the purity without considering the place, the contemporary architectures have been also exposed to 'the loss of the place' similarly. From recognizing these problems, studying new spatial approach and various movements to create new modern place overcoming this have been progressed. It is meant that building shouldn't exist away from a land, without meanings. It is need to create new space aggressively against varying spaces. Thus, This thesis focus on architect Jean Nouvel among the architects having the insight of space and study his architectural design philosophy through his works creating new space. The aim of this study is to review how to define the 'placeness', and the light as a mediator of place. First of all, this thesis begins with a review what is the 'placeness' as spatial analysis and how to define 'light' as a mediator of place with his books, scholarly lectures, interviews, writing and papers and then analyse how light is represented through 'the place program of light' from his selected works. As a result of it, the thesis provides the possibilities of his constant challenges about 'existence-space-essence' by deriving the characteristics of 'the place program of light' focused on what his architectural approach constructs new space all the time through a regular program even if hard to define all his works as one model.

  • There is a well-known class of compact, complex, non-Kählerian manifolds constructed by Bosio, called the LVMB manifolds, which properly includes the Hopf manifold, the Calabi-Eckmann manifold, and the LVM manifolds. As in the case of LVM manifolds, these LVMB manifolds can admit a regular holomorphic foliation 𝓕. Moreover, later Meersseman showed that if an LVMB manifold is actually an LVM manifold, then the regular holomorphic foliation 𝓕 is actually transverse Kähler. The aim of this paper is to deal with a converse question and to give a simple and new proof of a well-known result of Cupit-Foutou and Zaffran. That is, we show that, when the holomorphic foliation 𝓕 on an LVMB manifold N is transverse Kähler with respect to a basic and transverse Kähler form and the leaf space N/𝓕 is an orbifold, N/𝓕 is projective, and thus N is actually an LVM manifold.

  • A new class of generalized open sets in a topological space, called e-open sets, is introduced and some properties are obtained by Ekici [6]. This class is contained in the class of $\delta$-semi-preopen (or $\delta-\beta$-open) sets and weaker than both $\delta$-semiopen sets and $\delta$-preopen sets. In order to investigate some different properties we introduce two strong form of e-open sets called e-regular sets and e-$\theta$-open sets. By means of e-$\theta$-open sets we also introduce a new class of functions called strongly $\theta$-e-continuous functions which is a generalization of $\theta$-precontinuous functions. Some characterizations concerning strongly $\theta$-e-continuous functions are obtained.

  • This paper analyzes the singularity of an anthropomorphic robot associated with joint and operational stiffness generation from muscle stiffness. The singularity analysis is made simply based on the signs of the actual and the desired coupling joint stiffness. First, the relationships of the muscle stiffness and the actual joint stiffness, and the operational stiffness and the desired joint stiffness are examined. Second, according to the sign restriction on the actual coupling joint stiffness, the operational space is divided into the semi-singular(SS), the regular(R), and the semi-regular(SR) regions. Third, from the sign comparison of tile actual and the desired coupling joint stiffness, the sufficient condition for the semi-singularity in operational stiffness generation is derived. The limitation on the allowable operational stiffness when a task point belongs to SS, R, and SR regions is also discussed. Simulation results are given.

  • The impact of programming languages in the research sector has helped lot of researchers to broaden their view and extend their work without any limitation. More importantly, even the complex problems can be solved in no matter of time while converting them into a programming language. This convenience provides upper hand for the researchers as it places them in a comfort zone where they can work without much stress. With this context, we have converted the research problems in Topology into programming language with the help of Python. In this paper, we have developed a Python program to find the weaker form of closed sets namely alpha closed set, semi closed set, pre closed set, beta closed set and regular closed set.
