항만과 항만관련산업이 부산지역경제에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Port and Port Related Industries on Busan Regional Economy)

  • 항만과 항만관련 산업은 지역경제에 직접, 간접으로 영향을 미친다. 부산의 경우 지역 투입산출표(I-O)를 이용하여 추계하면 항만과 항만관련산업은 지역생산과 부가가치의 최소 1/5이상, 지역고용의 1/7이상의 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타난다. 항만과 항만관련산업은 부산경제에서 가장 중요한 부문이며 세계의 다른 주요항만인 로테르담이나 싱가포르도 마찬가지이다. 항만이 지역경제에 미치는 영향은 과거 조사에는 실제 조사방법을 사용하였다. 지역투입산출표가 지역경제변수에 대한 보다 다양한 분석을 가능하게 하며 이 논문에서의 몇 개의 응용예가 보고되고 있다.

  • If a system such as a port and regional economy has a large boundary and complexity, the system's substance is considered as a black box, forecast accuracy will be very low. Futhermore various components in a port and regional economy exert significant influence on each other. To copy with these problem the form of structure models were introduced by using SD model. This study has the issue of simplifying the regional economic effects of the port as contributing to raising the regional income. The regional economic effects of port have various indirect ones except for this. So, SD(System Dynamics) was presented, and applied to simulate port and regional economy.

물류중심형 자유지대의 경제적 파급효과에 관한 연구 - 부산항을 중심으로 - (Economic Effects of Establishing a Logistic Free Zone in the Port of Busan)

  • This study probes the necessity of establishing a logistic free zone in Port of Busan. It considers the economic effects of establishing the logistic free zone of Busan Port, and suggests policy prescriptions for introducing the free zone system and improving the logistics functions of Busan Port. Using input-output table data, the regression analysis was able to provide a quantitative prediction on effects of making the Busan Port a tariff-free zone. Influence for the regional economy due to the enforcement of the free zone system this research found that a strong positive effects should be expected on the Busan regional economy once the logistic free zone would be set up at the Port of Busan. The positive economic effects on Busan regional industries might be further strengthened if the value-added logistics function of Busan Port could be supplemented by linking to the hinterland of Busan Port.

  • For a nearly decade Busan has been the pre-dominant force in Northeast Asian port community, but during the last couple of years, several competitors have looked to directly challenge Busan's regional dominance, most notably, northern Chinese ports. Faced with this challenging and formidable trend, Busan has had to respond appropriately to ensure that Busan remains a regional hub well into the 21st century. The aim of this paper is to make some considerations for a regional hub container port in Northeast Asia in response to changes in the shipping industry with particular reference to Korea.

  • The subject of port efficiency is one of the important issues facing port authorities and policy makers today. A number of studies have been undertaken which compare ports in terms of their efficiency. But any port comparison can only be valid and meaningful if a port’s efficiency is compared with a similar port. The main objective of this paper is to introduce a systematic approach to identifying similar ports based on the technique of principal component analysis and cluster analysis. And it seeks to identify the most important factors underlying the port classification. Lack of awareness of which factors differentiate ports has resulted in an unnecessary collection of data which are of limited use in port classification. This paper has identified five groupings of similar ports within which port comparision can be justifiably made. This approach can be used for any future port comparision.

지역특화산업을 고려한 군산항 발전 방안 (A Study on Strategies of Gunsan Port by Considering Regional Characteristics)

  • This study comprehensively reviews the research conducted until recently in order to derive realistic alternatives in consideration of local industries. The case analysis was performed on a competitive port of similar size, and strategies and revitalization measures were suggested in consideration of the conditions of Gunsan Port. Literature review focused on papers and major reports. The case of similar size were analyzed for Daesan port, Boryeong port, and Mokpo port. In order to find strategies to revitalize the regional port logistics industry behind Gunsan Port, the recent opportunities and threat factors of Gunsan Port were derived. In order to foster the regional port logistics industry with Gunsan Port as its main base, this study proposes a three-step development strategy. It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of the public-private joint port sales and maintain the incentive system, but use it as a means to strengthen the competitiveness of Gunsan Port. Since the possibility of opening various routes is not high due to the conditions of Gunsan Port, various business models can be devised to link the currently opened routes. Start-up in the logistics field can stand out if they provide predictive data or provide consulting services by securing and analyzing logistics data, not directly providing logistics services.

  • 선박 교통의 안전을 확보하고 항만의 효율성의 제고, 해양사고예방 및 해양환경 보호의 역할 기능으로 오늘날 해상교통관제의 중요성이 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 해상교통관제 운영의 법적근거가 미흡하여 적극적 체계적 관제 시행이 어려운 것이 현실이다. 이러한 해상교통관제 제도 선진화에 따라 관련 규정의 재정비는 필연적인 것으로 보인다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 우리 나라 관제대상 선박의 적절성을 검토하고 나아가 관제대상 선박 적정 규정에 관한 지향점을 제시하기 위한 기초 연구로 삼고자 한다. 전 세계 27개국 124개 지역을 대상으로 조사한 관제대상 선박기준을 조사하여 우리나라 각 지방해양항만청의 관제대상 선박기준과 비교 분석을 통하여 적절성을 검토를 하고자 한다.

광양시 항만물류산업의 지역경제 파급효과 분석 - 외생화 산업연관모형을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Regional Economic Ripple Effects of Port Logistics Industry in Gwangyang City - Focusing on Exogenous Specified Input-Output Model -)

  • 본 연구 대상지인 광양시의 지역기반산업은 광양항과 광양제철소이다. 따라서 광양시 항만물류산업의 지역경제 파급효과를 분석할 필요성이 제기된다. 본 연구는 2015년과 2019년의 전국산업연관표를 이용하여 RW접근법과 LQ기법을 활용한 다단계접근법으로 광양시 지역산업연관표를 작성하고, 항만물류산업을 재분류한 외생화 수요유도형 모형을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 광양시 항만물류산업의 지역경제 파급효과를 계량적으로 파악하여 정책적 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 광양시 항만물류산업의 생산유발효과 및 전·후방연계효과가 높은 산업은 제조업, 운송,육상 및 항공물류 부문으로 분석되었다. 그리고 부가가치유발효과 및 취업유발효과가 크게 나타난 산업은 서비스업 관련 산업으로 분석되었다. 따라서 이 산업들을 촉진시켜 광양시 지역경제를 활성화시키는 방안으로 항만물류산업을 육성하는 지원책 마련이 필요하다. 이를 위해 광양항 해양산업클러스터의 활성화를 위한 정책 및 제도 개선과 광양시 항만물류산업 부문의 제반 정책적 지원을 마련하는 것이 바람직하다고 할 것이다. 본 연구는 중소도시의 항만물류산업을 외생화하여 분석한 결과를 토대로 광양시 지역경제의 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다는 데 그 의의를 둘 수 있다. 하지만, 향후 이와 관련된 연구가 지속적으로 필요할 것으로 보인다.
