Predictive control theory and design for offshore platforms

  • In order to achieve the best performance, the automatic control with advanced technology is made of sheathed steel to withstand a wide range of wave loads. This model shows how to control the vibration of the fiber panel as a solution using the new results from the Lyapunov stability question, a modification of the bat that making it easy to calculate and easy to use. It is used to reduce the storage space required in this system. The results show that the planned worker can compensate effectively for the unplanned delay. The results show that the proposed controller can compensate for delays and errors. Fuzzy control (predictive control) demonstrated the external vibration can be reduced.

대기오염 방지대책으로서 지역난방의 효과분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of the District Heating as an Air Pollution Control Strategy)

  • This Study shows the effect of the district heating on the $SO_2$ concentration reduction. In order to analyze the effect of the district heating, three alternatives were set up as follows; Alternative I represented present central heating system, and Alternative II and Alternative III represented district heating system of which the scale were different from. The concludions of this study are as follows; In case of the Alternative II and III, annual average $SO_2$ concentration are reduced by 9.0% and 14.6% respectively, and winter season $SO_2$ concentrations are reduced by 12.2% and 15.8% respectively, at the highest points. The average reduction rates of $SO_2$ concentration in the district heating area are about the same as the reduction rates at the highest points. Also, it was found that using the district heating system, the ground level $SO_2$ concentrations could be reduced within the area of 5 to 10 km radius.

교통상황별 터널부 VSL 표출제어 알고리즘 개발 (Development of VSL Control Algorithms for Various Traffic Conditions in Tunnels)

  • 본 논문에서는 터널 진입부 도로에서 적용할 수 있는 교통상황별 VSL 제어 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 효과적인 VSL 제어를 위하여 3개의 갠트리에 적용될 제어속도와 완충속도를 계산하는 알고리즘과 표출시간을 계산하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 알고리즘은 파이썬과 VISSIM COM-Interface를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 환경을 구축하여 평가하였다. 평가결과, 알고리즘 미적용시에는 정체 후미와 다음구간의 속도가 50km/h 이상으로 큰 차이가 났으나 적용시에는 속도 차이가 20km/h 이내로 크게 감소하였다. 그리고 알고리즘 미적용시 정체 후미의 길이가 터널 출구에서 800m지점까지 확산되었으나, 적용시에는 300m지점으로 축소되었다. 제시된 알고리즘을 적용시 전체적으로 각 구간별 평균속도와 속도편차가 모두 감소하여 터널부 교통사고 감소가 예상되고 나아가 정체시 차량운행의 안전을 향상하는데 큰 효과가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • This article proposes a new technique of the dynamic model using multi-body dynamic analysis tool for a flexible main spindle rotor system with a novel phase adjusting control technique for the purpose of an active control of rotor vibration. The dynamic model is used as a plant model. Also in order to make control system, a component parameters and phase controller is composed and simulated by SIMULINK. The vibration is reduced to 50%. Therefore the ADAMS dynamic model for the flexible main spindle rotor and the phase adjusting control techniques may be effective for the suppressing the vibration and helpful for the future active control for rotor vibration.

Path Planning of a Free Flying Object and its Application for Gymnastic Robots

  • The motion of animals and gymnasts in the air as well as free flying space robots without thrusters are subjected to nonholonomic constraints generated by the law of conservation of angular momentum. The purpose of this paper is to derive analytical posture control laws for free flying objects in the air. We propose the bang-bang control method for trajectory planning of a 3 link mechanical system with initial angular momentum. This technique is used to reduce the DOF (degrees of freedom) at first switching phase and to determine the control inputs to steer the reduced order system to the desired position. Computer simulations for motion planning of an athlete approximated by 3 link, namely platform diving, are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Distributed ECU System Design for High Speed and High Precision Control of a Marine Engine

  • Efficient control of a marine engine requires an engine control unit (ECU) system that handles fast and precise signal processes for in-coming and out-going signals from fast running engines. In order to handle these roles, the sequential control has been adapted in the ECU system in small and medium size ship engines, which has caused high production cost and complexity of the system. Hence, this paper is focused on developing an distributed ECU system for high speed and high precision control of a marine engine by efficiently combining a CPLD chip and a microprocessor. By sharing load at the MCU with the designed CPLD chip, we could achieve in driving a marine engine with high speed and precise control so that the ECU board has been simplified and its production cost has been reduced.

  • This paper presents a neural network approach to control exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) in a Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) engine. In order to meet Increasingly stringent automotive exhaust emission regulations, alternative fuels such as LPG engines have been developed in many countries. HC&CO emissions of LPG engines can be easily reduced through air-fuel ratio control, but the control effect on NOx reduction is not good enough.   • This paper is a study about Ac servo motor position and speed control characteristics which depend on feedforward control, the acceleration / deceleration time constant after the interpolation, and PI control, automatic deceleration at corner in order to shape cutting control of feed drive system of the machine tool. The shape error caused by delay of the servo system in the direction of radius at the time of circular cutting is reduced by feedforward control. The shape error generated by the position command delay is minimized by using the acceleration / deceleration time constant after the interpolation. The results were verified to optical machining center experimentation of the machine tool.

  • This paper discuss the real-time self-tuning learning control based on evolutionary computation, which proves its the superiority in the finding of the optimal solution at the off-line learning method. The individuals are reduced in order to learn the evolutionary strategy in real-time, and new method that guarantee the convergence of evolutionary mutations are proposed. It possible to control the control object varied as time changes. As the state value of the control object is generated, applied evolutionary strategy each sampling time because the learning process of an estimation, selection, mutation in real-time. These algorithms can be applied, the people who do not have knowledge about the technical tuning of dynamic systems could design the controller or problems in which the characteristics of the system dynamics are slightly varied as time changes.
