Layer-wise hint-based training for knowledge transfer in a teacher-student framework

  • We devise a layer-wise hint training method to improve the existing hint-based knowledge distillation (KD) training approach, which is employed for knowledge transfer in a teacher-student framework using a residual network (ResNet). To achieve this objective, the proposed method first iteratively trains the student ResNet and incrementally employs hint-based information extracted from the pretrained teacher ResNet containing several hint and guided layers. Next, typical softening factor-based KD training is performed using the previously estimated hint-based information. We compare the recognition accuracy of the proposed approach with that of KD training without hints, hint-based KD training, and ResNet-based layer-wise pretraining using reliable datasets, including CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, and MNIST. When using the selected multiple hint-based information items and their layer-wise transfer in the proposed method, the trained student ResNet more accurately reflects the pretrained teacher ResNet's rich information than the baseline training methods, for all the benchmark datasets we consider in this study.

교원 성과급 제도에 대한 초등교사와 초등보건교사의 인식과 개선방안 (A Study on the Perception and Improvement Plans of Performance Based Pay System of Elementary School Teachers and Elementary School Health Teachers)

  • Purpose: The purpose is to provide basic information for establishing improvements on performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers. Methods: For subjects, 200 teachers at public elementary schools and 200 health teachers at public elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do were conveniently sampled, and then surveyed through a questionnaire. The questionnaire was to recognize recognition of teachers working under the teacher's performance-based pay system, which was quoted in the questionnaire of Choi ji-hye (2005) and Lee mi-gyeong (2008). Inquiry for the recognition of teachers on evaluation of health teacher's performance-based pay system and improvements on the performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers were used after consultation with five incumbent health teachers and a review with the thesis director. Results: The performance-based pay's evaluation method of health teachers has the same method with general teachers in schools, so it is not fair to evaluate the performance of health teachers. The ways to improve the performance-based pay evaluation method of health teachers is as follows: first, the approval on improving 'the number of class hours' which is a detailed item of a teacher's performance evaluation criterion to 'the number of health lesson hours per week and the number of students visiting the school infirmary per week'; second, improving 'life guidance' into 'counseling results of medically-treated students, parents of students and personal hygiene guidance'; third, improving 'a teacher in charge' into 'awarding of points by being recognized as a health teacher in charge of all students and considering the economic situation of the region,; forth, improving 'difficulty of position' into 'the number of health-teacher's annual promotion task items and the treatment number of issuing and receiving of official documents', and improving the 'task difficulty' into 'importance and urgency of emergency patient management, risk level and urgency of infectious diseases and avoiding work in charge' appeared to be more than 90% respectively. Conclusion: The performance-based pay system of teachers being carried out every year should be executed by preparing fair evaluation criteria suitable for task properties and the role of health teachers with different evaluation criteria compared to general teachers.

  • Many educators and teacher-librarians have emphasized many times on the necessity and the educational value of the school library. But actually the necessity and the educational value of the school library is not recognized as the most important ones in the educational system. Therefore I tried to find out several ways on the development of the school library and the promotion of the teacher-librarian focusing on recognition of the necessity of school library. In order to develop the school library, it is necessary that the function of the school library should be maximized and transformed to effective system. I would like to suggest the following methods : 1) Transform the present school library into the school library media center. 2) Connect the running system S.L.M.C. to the curriculum of the school. 3) Emphasis of the reading education. 4) Guidance on the use of library. At last I studied on the definition, the legal status and the education of the teacher-librarian.

교사에 대한 유아의 언어 커뮤니케이션의 내용분석 및 발달적 변화 (The Development and Contents of Young Children's Verbal Communication with Teachers)

  • This study explored the contents of young children's verbal communications with their teachers in play situations. Participants were 2- to 6-year-old children. Results of observations showed 10 different verbal categories : making demands, asking questions, boasting, complementing the teacher, gaining recognition from the teacher, telling tales, explaining, making suggestions, asking permission, and insisting on one's own way. The five categories most frequently observed in older children were demanding, asking questions, boasting, explaining, and insisting on one's own way. Teachers were advised to prepare to respond more effectively to the variety of young children's verbal communication with their teachers.

보육교사 권리 인식 척도 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of a Recognition Scale for Childcare Teachers' Rights)

  • Objective: The aim of the present study was to develop and validate a recognition scale for childcare teachers' rights. Methods: Statistical methods for data analysis involved the use of SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. To confirm the reliability and validity of the developed scale, various analyses, including item quality assessment, item discrimination, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis, were conducted. The maximum likelihood estimation method was employed for model fitting. Goodness of fit was assessed using SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. Through these analyses, the scale's reliability and validity exceeded the standard. Consequently, 5 factors and 30 questions were ultimately selected as the recognition scale for childcare teachers' rights. Results: First, a recognition scale for childcare teachers' rights was developed to reflect changes in childcare settings. Second, an objective measurement was incorporated into the recognition scale of childcare teachers' rights. Third, the analysis using the proposed scale revealed a correlation between the recognition of childcare teachers' rights and life satisfaction. Conclusion/Implications: The study developed a scale capable of objectively measuring the recognition of childcare teachers' rights.

STEAM 교육에 대한 초등교사의 인식과 요구 (The Recognition and Needs of Elementary School Teachers about STEAM Education)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 STEAM 교육에 대한 초등교사의 인식과 요구를 조사 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구를 수행하기 위하여 군집표집 방법으로 전국의 초등교사 533명을 표집하여 연구대상으로 하였고, 우편 및 이메일을 통하여 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등교사는 STEAM 교육의 필요성에 대하여 긍정적으로 공감하고 있었으나 STEAM 교육에 대한 인식은 보통 수준이었다. 둘째, STEAM 교육을 적용한 경험이 있는 초등교사의 비율이 매우 낮았다. STEAM 교육 적용에 대한 어려움은 STEAM 교육 자료 준비의 어려움이 가장 높았으며, STEAM 교육에 대한 이해 부족 개발된 STEAM 교육프로그램의 보급 부족, STEAM 교육 실현을 위한 교수 학습 방법 부족 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등교사는 STEAM 교육의 교육방향에 대하여 현실생활과 밀접한 관련이 있는 교육, 창의적인 사고능력 및 문제해결능력 향상을 위한 교육, STEAM 교과의 흥미 있는 교육, STEAM 교과의 학업능력 향상을 위한 교육 순으로 요구하였다. 넷째, 초등교사는 STEAM 교육에 적합한 통합 방식에 관하여 현실생활과 관련한 활동 중심의 통합, 현실생활과 관련한 주제 중심의 통합, 학생의 필요와 흥미 중심의 통합, 문제 중심의 통합 순으로 요구하였다. 다섯째, 초등교사는 STEAM 교육을 통해 함양해야 할 능력에 관하여 창의적인 설계, 문제해결 능력, 학업수행능력, 대인관계 능력 순으로 요구하였다. 마지막으로 초등교사는 STEAM 교육 활성화를 위해 STEAM 교육프로그램 개발 및 보급, STEAM 교육에 대한 교사의 이해, 다양한 교수 학습자료 보급, 교사 연수, 교사 협동, 교육과정 개선 등이 이루어져야 함을 요구하였다.

보육교사의 전문성 인식, 학습민첩성, 긍정심리자본이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Child Care Teachers' Professionalism, Learning Agility and Positive Psychological Capital on Their Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 전문성 인식, 학습민첩성, 긍정심리자본 등이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인하여 보육교사의 긍정적인 직무 수행에 필요한 정책적 시사점을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전남 지역의 보육교사 283명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였고, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 5년 이상의 경력을 가진 보육교사들이 전문성 인식과 긍정심리자본에 있어서 높은 수준을 보여주었다. 둘째, 보육교사의 직무만족도는 전문성 인식, 긍정심리자본, 학습민첩성의 순으로 높은 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 보육교사의 전문성 인식과 긍정심리자본이 직무만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 보육교사의 전문성 인식, 학습민첩성, 긍정심리자본은 직무만족도를 설명하는 유의미한 변인임을 확인하였다. 따라서 어린이집에서의 직무만족도를 높이기 위해서는 전문 연수과정과 컨설팅 등을 지원하여 스스로 전문직업인이라는 인식을 갖도록 하고 나아가 교사들에게 보다 많은 자율성을 부여하며 수직적인 어린이집의 운영 시스템을 개선할 필요가 있다.

감성인식기술 기반 교사의 감정코칭이 유아에게 미치는 반응 연구 (A study on behavior response of child by emotion coaching of teacher based on emotional recognition technology)

  • 유아시기 정서발달은 전반의 발달에 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 지속적인 마음 상태인 정서는 일시적인 마음상태인 감정의 인식과 처리가 핵심 자원이 되어 발달한다. 본 연구의 목적은 정서발달에 중요한 유아시기 감성인식 기술을 이용한 교사의 효율적인 감정코칭을 제안하며, 그 효과의 유의성을 정량적으로 검증하고자 한다. 교사2명, 유아 42명 피험자를 대상으로 기준 무자극, 행동코칭, 감정코칭, 감성인식 시스템 피드백 감정코칭 자극을 제시하였고 영상기반 집단의 행동 양과 유아 개별의 주관평가 그리고 Heart Math Tools을 이용하여 HRC (Heart Rhythm Coherence)을 측정하여 분석하였다. 결론적으로 유아의 주관평가, 영상의 움직임 양, HRC (Heart Rhythm Coherence)수치는 감성인식시스템 피드백 수업 시 긍정적인 유의한 차이를 보였다. 단 주관평가는 감정코칭과 감성인식 시스템 피드백과는 차이가 나지 않았지만 정량적인 데이터 유아의 행동 양에서는 그 양이 증가하는 결과를 확인하였다. 이는 유아의 주관적 반응에 미흡한 정보를 정량적 데이터로 보완 할 수 있으며, 기관에서 정서교육의 효과적 접근으로 감정코칭 교육 프로세스 시스템을 제안하며 아동 정서발달의 정량적 연구 활용이 가능할 것으로 사료 된다.

학교 예방접종에 관한 논고 (A study on the role of the school health teacher in school vaccination)

  • Promotion of immunization including early recognition of disease symptoms and effective control of communicable disease have been the important role of the school heath teacher in Korea. The school heath teacher as a nurse have been practiced vaccination for students as one of the major method for promotion of immunization in school. Recently it was occured difficulty for school vaccination that is practicing by school health teacher. So it is predicted for reducing of vaccination coverage rates of students. The objectives of this study are, first; to examine current guidlines of government, second, to analysis problem according to current guidline, third, to discuss further direction for school vaccination. There are used study methods as litrature review, analysis of statistical data and case study etc. Analytical framework for increased effects of vaccination in this study was safty, cost -effectiveness and coverage rates of vaccination. Major suggestions are as follows : First, It is different from the role of the public and private sectors in preventive health services. The preventive health services are characterized that the effect of health promotion is large, but the period of input effect is slow. Therefore the leading role of school vaccination should be have school and school health teacher including public sectors. Second, Health management of contemporary people can be effective with cooperative relationship between various health manpower. School health teacher as a medical manpower should be provide vaccination service continiously for health promotion of students. Third, It is necessary to maintain collective vaccination in school because have lots of advantage at safty, cost-effectiveness and coverage rates. In conclusion, school heath teacher should have central and independent role in school vaccination in according to current law. Also it will be assured lawful compensation in prepare to accident in vaccination.
